Quick Take: volumizing, lengthening
PROS: I love this mascara for it's ability to easily reach every single little lash and make it pop. It's richly pigmented so it's great if you're doing a dramatic eye look. I don't like to wear false lashes, so in order to make my lashes look fuller and longer I use this mascara. It reminds me of the Makeup Forever Smoky Lash mascara, except that this one is waterproof. I don't think you can get more waterproof that this mascara, it's awesome!
CONS: Can make your eyelashes clump up. That is why I only use it when I do a dramatic eye look and I use a lash comb to brush away any clumps. Nonetheless I would purchase this again.

Ah I loved this mascara when I purchased it! It's amazing on my eyelashes. And I think it's mainly because of such an amazing brush which seems to be able to reach all of your lashes, even the smaller neglected ones. I was using it for a couple months and loved it, I could tell a huge difference in thickness of my eyelashes. However all of a sudden this mascara started drying up on my eyelashes like crazy. I pretty much have to tug my eyelashes in order to remove it and even several wipes of make up remover don't remove it completely! I have no clue why it's doing this. While my eyelashes look great, I hate tugging on them to remove the mascara in the evening, it quite irritates my eyes.
So I don't know if carrying it in your purse is a bad idea or it expired soon or something but I'll have to get a sample and see how it goes again. I purchased this initially after trying a sample and loved both but now I'm not sure if I can handle how badly it dries up.

I bought this for my wedding because I knew it would be a long day with lots of tears. I took it with me on my honeymoon and sported it and only it for a full week. This mascara is amazing. It looks great, with one stroke it's very natural and lovely, with a few more it gets dramatic and perfect for a night out. It stays put through everything! I wore it snorkeling for hours and still it looked great. I have nothing bad to say about it. It stays put, it's great, buy it!

The non-waterproof Hypnose Drama is my all time favorite mascara. I opted to try to waterproof version because I was going on vacation and would be around water.
The Bad: I read many reviews saying it doesn't flake but I had a serious flaking problem. I would often have pain in my eyes from flake dropping in, resulting in furious blinking to get it out. It also clumps really bad when applying. It seems to be a problem with the amount product that gets on the brush when you pull it out. It's a hassle to apply without getting funny spider leg lashes (even though they love it in high fashion)
The Good: I have never had a mascara that holds my curl so well throughout, basically the WHOLE day. I was irritated that it was such a hassle to put on and with all the flaking I was so close to returning it. But I found myself continuing to use it simply because it held my curl SO WELL. It is also extremely waterproof.
I was so tempted to give it only 3 stars, but seriously it is the best curl holding mascara I own which makes it more than average for me (3 stars=average according to sephora)

Volume: yes. Drama: Yes. No flaking or smudging. However - Way to many clumps. Dries too fast, even before you're done with one coat. This leads to tugging of the eyelashes and some came out. Yuck. Very waterproof, but I was able to get it off with eye makeup remover.

I love this mascara. I have tried quite a few recently and over the years. I can always depend on Lancôme. I found that even the regular formula is hard to get off of your eye, let alone the waterproof. It definately will not budge.
I recommend brushing your lashes before hand with a lash brush to get the full effect.
It does create volume and length without clumping.

I am obsessed with this. I got a small trial size of this and then fell in love with it. I haven't had a problem with clumping, but I think that with my sample size I didn't get as much on the brush as will the full size. I do nails so people stare at my face a lot, and they ALWAYS ask me if I have eyelash extensions, which I take as a huge compliment. I have blonde lashes naturally, and since this is waterproof, I never have a problem with it smudging or anything. LOVE IT!

The volume this mascara gives is insane, however it is so clumpy. It takes a great amount of skill to rid of all the clumps, but once you get the hang of it, it's a nice product.

If you love waterproof mascara, Hypnose is one of the best on the market. It has more than a 24hour hold. You can go to sleep and in the morning its still on!!!!

This is a very good product, but because the opening of the tube is too wide too much product goes on the brush. If the opening was a bit smaller it would take off the excess product. All in all, it does give volume and length, but takes time to apply without clumps.

I've always had issues with my mascara smudging under my eyes without fail. I originally was using the lancome definicils mascara and liked it, but still had smudging problems. So when the VIB 15% discount came out, I immediately went to Sephora and asked the salesperson for a waterproof mascara recommendation and she said both the lancome hypnose star and drama ones were good. I bought both, but will return the star because it's a limited edition. Works just as well as the drama, but I would rather like one mascara and be able to keep buying it in the near future. I've used the Drama waterproof mascara a number of times and have not had a problem with smudging. No problems with removing it with eye makeup remover. I can't say for sure about clumping, but I don't think it really has that problem. I'm asian with sparse straight lashes and have to curl them all the time. So no matter what mascara I use, my lashes will never be 100% separate and full looking. But this mascara has helped them look a little longer at least.

The brush is aomewhat awkward to use and you have to put the mascara on pretty fast as it dries fast. If you try to do a double coat after it dries it seems to clump.

I have used every mascara on the market and thought Hypnose WP was the best. But, I tried both of these side by side and the Hypnose Drama WP was so much better than original Hypnose WP! My lashes were so long and full with the Drama that I got compliments all night the first time I wore it. I hope this never gets discontinued!
