I love PTR products, but this one is just NOT for me... my skin is oily and it didn't help at all, I gave it a couple tries and noticed that every time I used it, I would get pimples... clogged my pores :(

I have fair, sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. I live in the Southern US. The humidity and heat often compund the complications my skin faces daily. When trying a new product, all other personal variables are kept to a minimum - including dietary changes, makeups used, facial care regime, etc... The products are consistently used for at least 1 month ( to account for hormonal skin changes), and are exposed to as many different circumstances as possible ( weather changes, activity levels, etc).
*SCENT: None. I am sensitive to smells and this has No Odor. Excellent if you're particular about scents and perfumes.
*COST: not great, but not too bad. It is a little high for the amount received.
*APPLICATION: Very Thick. Almost like a paste, but not goopy like traditional sunscreen. It does not get looser with heat from your hands, and it does not spread with a light touch. If you like the delicacy of applying serums, this may not be for you.
*WEARABILITY: This is not a primer, and does not double as such. The mineral makeup I use sat on top of this product, as did the heavier makeup I wear for concerts.
*PERFORMANCE: It does provide instant mattification, but it does not last through the day. It left a 'veil' feeling on my face and neck. It did not seem to be absorbed by my skin. While it did not turn white with mild perspiration, it also seemed to come off easily when I touched my face. IT was completely NON - iritating!
*RECOMMENDATION: Despite my endorsement of products with less 'junk' in them, I cannot highly recommend Clini-matte as it currently performs.

The perfect sun protection

Quick Take: lightweight, absorbs quickly, mattifying, absorbs oil
I LOVE this product. One step mattifying and sun protection and it lasts all day. I use this as my primer and my skin looks great, it doesn't feel goopy or coated and it's protected.

I bought this bc a Sephora Associate recommended this for me since I wanted something that can help control my oily skin. I was super excited to use it, however it is not for me. I applied it every morning before my primer and makeup but I still get oily within the day. It gave me the same effect as if I didn't use it. The lotion did made my skin feel nice. Wanted to like it but it was not for me. Still searching for a moisturizer with SPF that works for my skin type =/

Quick Take: lightweight, absorbs quickly
This is the first moisturizer I've ever used. I tried the Laura Mercier one in the store (tinted) but it didn't have oil control. This one works well at controlling oils, with minimum breakouts. I've paired it up with NARS foundation, which breaks me out a little, but the moisturizer alone is perfect. Hard to apply due to it's "waxy" nature, but is odorless and very good.

Quick Take: great mattifying smoothes makeup
I was given a sample of his product in the store because I have extremely oily skin. I have tried everything. After my first use iof this product I knew I would buy it'. It reduced my oil t-zone md made my make-up look flawless. It is worth every penny if you have oily skin.

This product did not deliver for me-in fact, it iincreased oil all over my face. I'm not extremely oily to begin with, just a bit in the T-zone, so I thought this product might have even been overkill for my needs. Maybe you need to be extremely oily for this to work? Back it went!

Quick Take: lightweight, absorbs quickly
I have suffered for YEARS with oily skin. 20 minutes after putting on my make up I would need to use an oil blotter pad because my face was super shiny. I have tried everything and this IS THE PRODUCT TO HAVE if you have oily skin. It goes on nicely, makeup goes perfectly over it and I can go for a good 8 hours without my face feeling like an oil field.

Wanted Matte & That is What I Got

Quick Take: just what i was looking for
I purchased this product because I have oily skin & I wanted to stop using blotting sheets all day. This lotion does help much better than others I have tried. PTR is a good product line so it may be pricey but worth it. I always use an SPF on my face so I was able to get some oil control & sun protection at the same time. Bravo!

Quick Take: lightweight
I was excited about using it because there were great reviews and I have oily skin. However, it made my skin terribly dry. It seems like it has too much of a matte finish. I took it back to the store.

I love this product! I used to have an oil slick on my face within an hour or so of my morning routine until I started using the Clini-Matte All Day oil-control. It does feel 'dry' going on, but it does an amazing job on controlling oil throughout the day.

This stuff is great. Doesn't make your face smell like sunscreen all day. It leaves it feeling very mattified and the oil is under control more than with any other product I have tried like this. Highly recommend!

Quick Take: non-oily, mattifying
I love this stuff so much! It's the best- I have oily skin and this stuff gives me moisture but also leaves my skin looking matte and fresh. It's not greasy at all (like some of the other Peter Thomas Roth moisturizers) and I'm on my fourth bottle. Worth every penny.

I have extremely oily skin and this product didn't work for me at all. My face started oiling up only about an hour to two hours after using this. I would not repurchase this item.

This product meets two requirements - it's gives me a matte finish and provides sunscreen. So far I am very pleased with it. It's not oily at all. I'd say I use it as more of a primer, after my moisturizer and before any makeup. I like it and would recommend it.

Great product, but it's expensive. I've gone to the Boscia black gel lotion because it's $10 less per container and it lasts longer. If my skin got in trouble, I'd return tp PTF in a heartbeat.

First off, I LOVE PTR!! This is the first product I have not absolutely adored. 2 stars for the SPF. However I did not feel it was mattifying and also made me look very pale after applying. Not a fan. I use a moisturizer with SPF now and philosophy's the present.

Quick Take: not greasy or oily
This product delivers!!! It provides SPF coverage I need (I wear acne cream) and it keeps the oil under control for most of the day. I would recommend to anyon ho has oily skin.
