Empire green- What a color!!!

Quick Take: chips too easily., high maintenance in my book., polish has odd consistency., tester wasn't like this.
The Empire color is a kelly-ish green but with a lot of blue, and what a great color! Here on the Gulf Coast we can wear brighter shades all year if wanted and this has been perfect at Christmas, (I'm a fashionista elf! lol ) and delightful going into Carnival. I bet my love of the color lasts longer than the metallic, slightly blue light green polish does. My bottle seems off some how.
And there's it's only problem- it's chippy and easily scratched. I've been so busy at Xmas I dash on two coats and run, but this needs the whole massive production of undercoat and top coat. I use quick dry's from the drugstore because as a working artist I ruin my polish; This isn't that sort of quick dry. And I haven't been near the studio. If Tarantino does more lovely jewel box colors like she has, please Sephora, make them in a more practical formula? Don't waste inspired colors on iffy polish. Her palettes are amazing- Do them justice, please.
Four stars for the amazing color. The polish is going to the store to be checked. The tester wasn't like this.

I got the StarChild polish (gun-metal). On the packaging, it said the safety of this product has not been proven. I don't mind paying extra for cosmetics that are made with better ingredients. This was $12 and it has a warning like that on the packaging? not cool.....
Saw the warning after i polished my nails.....the polish also takes forever to get off and stays in your nail beds for days

I bought this in Stairchild and the color is a great silvery black color. If you want the black dark look but need something not so harsh for the office this is a great alternative. The coverage was great after 2 coats and dried very quickly. Touchups needed after a couple days because the color is so dark and noticeable, didn't really chip but the tips wore thin and a little see through. I type all day so I have more wear than most might.

I purchased this in "meteor night" but it was sitting around, because I was wearing Nars Midnight Express. The two are almost exactly the same, but I liked this one better because it took only two coats and you could even maybe get by with only one- it was super glossy, and I've had to do only a few touch ups but not every day. It was more opaque than a lot of polishes I have tried, especially in the under $20 price range. Very pretty, dried in no time, and no streaking either!! I ordered Empire as well, I was sorry to see they are no longer carrying any of these in the store close to me!!

Quick Take: long wearing
I love the high-pigmentation of this lacquer and it is pretty long-lasting. My only issue with it is just how difficult it is to remove once you are ready to change nail colors.

I bought this and was really excited for the duochrome finish as it appeared in the store. Unfortunately, it was a mess to apply- even the thinnest coat ran into my cuticles, and once on/ dry/ with top coat, it was a completely navy blue, no chrome finish or pretty blue color. I returned it the next day.

I was so disappointed. The color is cool, but it chipped in a single day! I generally use OPI or Lippmann Collection, and these last much longer. For the price, I expected more.

The color is decent, but I'm more impressed that it hasn't worn off like most polishes I use! I put on a Dior polish on my fingernails more recently and a lot of it's worn off, but this blue on my toes is mostly as intact as it was the day I put it on.

I got this is "Starchild", and I have to say, that it is a gorgeous color. I usually wear black or really dark reds, so this was a nice change but not out of my "comfort zone".
I have bad luck with nailpolish. I'm lazy and don't like doing bottom coats and top coats. This didn't need it. I did my nails with just 2 coats of this color on a Monday night and it was a full week later that I got my first chip. Not bad for someone who washed their hands 80 zillion times a day and can't help but pick at her nails/cuticles. Love this lacquer!

I purchased Starchild, which is a silver, almost gunmetal, color. I was quite impressed to find that my nail was completely opaque with one coat. However, given the metallic nature of the polish, it was hard to spread evenly without getting streaks. Also, I don't like the brush. It may be that I'm used to using the newer brushes that are tapered, so this one seemed very blunt at the end, making it harder to control.
With one coat of polish and a top coat, my nails stayed chip free for about 2 days, which is great. If I had used 2 coats, I bet it would have lasted longer.

I was really excited to get the navy blue color, just to try something different. On my natural nails the color looks black, not navy blue. Like other reviewers stated, it does chip easily and it stains your nails and also your fingers. I had to use a lot of nail polish remover and cottons balls to get the polish off. I just threw the polish out because I didn't was to deal with such a mess each time........it's too bad because I really wanted to like this product and try the other colors too.

I bought this nail polish because I saw it in a magazine and LOVED the Empire (peacock) color. It went on really nice and the color was great but it chipped almost automatically. I've had to touch up my nails every day since I put it on. Very disappointing and frustrating because it was $12 a bottle. I probably won't buy this brand again.

Ok, since I wrote my review I have removed my acrylics. Sadly this polish does not last on natural nails that way it did on my acrylics. Within one day I had chipping, I had to remove it by the end of the second day it was so bad. So here is the deal... Great colors, great price point, great on acrylics, not good on natural nails. So I will be saving these for those special nights out and not for everyday wear. On the other hand, I have discovered that the OPI for Sephora polish actually lasts longer on my natural nails then my acrylics so I will just continue to purchase those.

This nail polish is totally awesome. I am a nail polish junkie and this nail polish is great. Its sooo fast drying, you only need one coat and the colors are gorgeous.
This nail polish is expensive, but you get a pretty good size bottle and I've had this nail polish on for about 5 days now (with a top coat) and it hasn't chipped.
The colors are so vibrant and pretty: Especially the silver and turquoise! They are stunning and are so pigmented with color.
The blue isn't as blue as it seems online, its actually a bit darker in person, almost a deep navy. Its very pretty as well but its not like the picture shows online.

I have this nail polish in all 3 colors and I absolutely love all of them, such pretty colors and SO worth the price!
