Buy "The" Private Affair for better value!

I haven't received this palette yet (it's on the way), but I wanted to point out that this exact Lorac palette is now a "new" item on Sephora's website and is labeled "The" Private Affair, item number 1503549. You get everything you see here, plus an eye liner and mascara. The sizes listed are the same for the shadows and primer. It's also the same price. For some reason it is "valued" at $79 whereas this one is valued at $136, but I'm not sure how that is possible. Just passing along this info for anyone interested in ordering this palette!

The color goes on exactly as it looks in the case. It is highly pigmented. It is amazing to me how Lorac eye shadow looks exactly the same as when applied after wearing it for countless hours. I feel that it's such a shame to remove it at the end of the night. The colors in this little kit are beautiful. The primer being included was a great way to try it. It's so light.

I love LORAC eyeshadow palettes, and the Private Affair is no exception. The colors are true to color and pop amazingly well on the eyelids. They are all buttery smooth in blending consistently, and you can very easily take a daytime look into a nightlook. Be advised though, there can be quite a fallout with product when applying onto the lids, so you might want to take precaution measures.

One of the few eyeshadow sets that I actually use all the colors. Very pigmented yet blends well. Loves the primer so much I switched from Urban Decay's version.

this would have been ideal if the nudes weren't so..sparkley? they are a definite shimmer and by no means chunky glitter..but i could identify sparkle which i don't like. i decided to return it after getting a teeny tiny "private affair" pallet from Lorac that had more matte shades, and even the ones with some shimmer weren't as shimmer/glittery. i guess this is sort of hard to explain. also the case is heavy/bulky for what it is. also the mirror was cheap/not a real mirror? almost looked laminated or something. i loved the brush and the primer...i ordered a full size primer.

Quick Take: travel size, great pigment
I really like this palette. I love the dark colors and I'm saving the sparkly shadow for a night out. The brush sucks and it does cause a lot of fall out. I have not tried the primer yet so no review on that. Personally, I don't like shimmery shades below my brow so I'll probably only use the lightest colors to highlight the inner corners of my eyes.
There are some complaints about the packaging being bulky. I like it because I can fit a mascara, lip gloss sample, and my (small) primer of choice in the lower compartment so it truly is travel size.

I have always been an urban decay fan, but the glitter has been bothering my eyes and I was looking for something new. I got this around christmas time and I cannot say enough good things about the eye shadows. They are soft and they apply beautifully. I even like the brush that came with the set. I wish the box that the eye shadows are in wasn't so big, as it's kinda bulky in my makeup bag, but other than that I love it. The colors can be used for natural or dramatic looks, it would be nice if it had some ideas on combinations and looks to create, you know like toofaced does in their palttes, but the quality is amazing

This is the first palette I've bought and I am so pleased with it. The primer is an absolute must for me now and the colors are pigmented and the texture soft and blendable. The lightest color is currently my favorite highlighter. The brush is only okay, but who cares?

This has been the best eye shadow pallette I have ever had. I have darker skin and a lot of shadows are not pigmented enough to show.. the highlights were awesome and the dark showed up just beautifully. Love it. I hope they always carry it.

This is one of my FAVORITE eyeshadow palettes, absolutely love the shades. Has the perfect amount of shimmer in them, not way to little or way to much. Has pretty much all my main favorite eyeshadow colors in it. The only part I was a little disappointed about, was the brush broke not to long after I bought it. But still I think its worth every penny!

I simply love Lorac in every way. She have the best eyeshadows on the market. This set is the perfect evening palette. The shadows are silky, long lasting, highly pigmented, blendable and coordinating for most looks. The eye primer is the perfect base for the shadows too.

Beautiful colors,(obviously) very sultry and provocative.
Highly pigmented and heavy, adheres well to skin but as the grain is very soft and fine I would recommend using a primer. Also protect under your eyes while applying!
After I use the shadows I press down on the shades that I used with a clean finger to "compress" them back in, to prevent shadow dust from going all over the palette.
I do have a problem with the packaging though, as I get a little annoyed every time I put down the palette and the lid closes back by itself. I think Lorac could have handled this a little smarter.

I love the Lorac brand and when I saw this palette the colors swatched so beautifully so I bought it! However, when I got it home and used it for the first time I was surprised by how much fall out there was. The colors are beautiful and you can create a stunning smokey eye. The colors blend well too. However, the fall out is pretty extensive to the point I had to re-do my foundation under my eyes. So, I am returning this product which is a huge disappointment because I really liked the colors of this palette.

I was looking for a palette that I could use for a serious, red carpet-worthy eye, but that could also be played down for every day. This is absolutely it. The darker colors are really rich, especially with the primer, and there's just the right amount of shimmer. It applies easily and evenly -- I have nothing bad to say about it.

Quick Take: good value
I'm a major fan of the dark smokey eye, and I thought this palette would be something abit different for a change. The case is beautiful, the colors are so lovely, I think the mini little drawer is cute. The primer is quite nice, the first time I used the palette was before work, and the colors stayed perfectly even though my face was a sweaty mess! Will be looking into more Lorac products!
