Good lashes, GREAT adhesive
-05.15.13
Quick Take: high quality, good value
I almost exclusively buy this brand now - the lashes are sturdy but flexible, comfortable to wear, and stand up to much repeated use and abuse. I have smaller eyes, and these trim well. The glue that comes with UD lashes is the real star though. It is easy to use due to the consistency, built-in application wand and the fact that it turns bright blue when applied to the lash (makes it easy to see) then dries clear. The glue adheres quickly, and outlasts every other brand I've tried. I hope they will sell the adhesive seperately one of these days!

INSTAFLARE REVIEW
I absolutely love these Urban Decay Instaflare lashes. I can wear them without anything special, no eyeliner, eyeshadow, nothing to hide that they are fake. I barely even need mascara! They blend in so well with my natural lashes to give me that soft doe-eyed look without looking like I am trying too hard. Definitely worth the $18 dollars. And if you take care of them they last for so long. Two pairs is plenty. What a fantastic purchase!
*** side note ***
The Instaflare lashes do not come with glue in the box, you will need to purchase that separately.

a must for anyone with latex sensitivity
-01.30.13
Yes, yes, good ole duo works better than the pretty lash glue that comes with these. However the UD lash glue is latex free and an absolute must if you have a sensitivity or allergy.
If you don't have any problem with latex and good old fashioned duo doesn't make your eyes burn, then chuck the glue and just use that.

Fluffy :P
-12.02.12
Quick Take: dramatic
I got Black Velvet and the material was weird; it was fluffy....
Now I don't know about you guys but I don't like my falsies fluffy, plus since they're so long and fluffy they kind of tickle which is a definite no-no.
I wouldn't recommend Black Velvet unless you want long fluffy lashes that shed.

Quick Take: natural looking
i'm going to be honest and admit that the glue that came with it is plain bad. it looks pretty haha, but it isn't strong enough to hold the lashes in place.
now on to the lashes. these are half lashes that i wear to give me that extra flair, or oomph! makes my eye look more cat-like in terms of shape. i LOVE it.
been using them for half a year now, and still going strong!
then again, i only use them once every few weeks so...
these half lashes look natural and would be good for people like me who just want a little something more without going overboard.

Babydoll and Lure
-07.21.12
Quick Take: decorative, dramatic
I bought a few pairs of Urban Decay lashes for myself. Keep in mind, I NEVER wear lashes as when I apply them I end up looking like an aging drag queen. I found the "Babydoll" lashes worked incredibly well for a Halloween costume (appropriately enough, at a drag show). I could not use the glue that came with them as it literally went from liquid and dripping everywhere to completely dry almost instantly. It was never "tacky." I like that it's translucent and dries clear. Otherwise, it's completely useless. The Babydoll lashes were used on my lower lids and they fit well without being trimmed. I recently tried to wear the Lure lashes for a burlesque show and had the complete opposite result. I did not get a pair where the band was either overly stiff or too pliant, but the lashes were an odd size. They were too long to give the desired, upturned, cat-eye effect but too short to apply as a full lash. Once I got them on, they felt heavy and actually made it difficult to keep my eyes open. I literally peeled them off en route and dropped them from an open car window.
On the whole, I love the lashes themselves for quality. I still break out my Babydolls for special occasions, and I've owned them for almost two years now. The Lure style was probably the most unwieldy thing I've ever attempted, above lip plumpers, a foot tattoo, and childbirth.

"Lure" - Wearable Drama
-07.18.12
Quick Take: decorative, dramatic, well made
I first saw these lashes on Jennifer Lawrence in the Hunger Games, and knew immediately that I had to have them. After some searching, I found out that they were Urban Decay and went online to buy them. I saw all of the options and began to doubt if the Lure style would be right for me or if they would look too over the top and dramatic. After a lot of debating with myself, I went with the Lure, and I couldn't be happier with them! They are long and fluttery, and the shorter strand means that you can't go wrong with the application. They add a bit of a cat-eye look to your lashes. They are quite long on the ends, but not in an unappealing way. People were asking if they were my real lashes! They looked gorgeous, and they are really nicely tapered and glossy. My only complaint would be that they are quite stiff, but it didn't really matter. I cannot speak to the quality of the glue, because I have a glue that I love from a different brand which I used for the application (and they lasted me for 12 hours, through prom and the after parties). The lashes seem to be well made, and I have worn them a couple of times and they still look and feel brand new. If you are looking for something special to add some glam to your makeup look, or if you are just a really big Hunger Games fan, don't hesitate to get these! They're pricy, but the quality is evidently worth it.

Quick Take: natural looking, subtle
They didn't produce the cat-eye eyelash that I was looking for but they still made a subtle and beautiful effect on my eyes. The band is a bait stiff and the glue they come with isn't strong enough.

Minx Lash
-01.03.12
Quick Take: gorgeous but difficult, band is too stiff
I actually bought the lash set of these with the mascara and the eyeliner. I highly recommend getting that set if you're interested in trying out these lashes (not from UD's website though, they charge you $10 more than retail stores) because if you don't like them you've got falsie-mascara and eyeliner to make up for it.
ANYWAY
I've been wearing Falsies and been an avid UD costumer for about 7 years so you can imagine my excitement to find out they started making lashes.
And this pair looks amazing...but there are some very serious issues I have with them. I have big eyes and I've never had to trim false lashes before but with these I definitely had to, they're incredibly long. The band is also extremely thick and uncooperative that I got really frustrated trying to get them on. They don't want to stick down to the inner corner of your eye because of how stiff the band is so I ended up trimming them even more to get them to work.
A thick band like that is something I expect when I buy a $5 pair of thick lashes from the drug store...not Urban Decay! I strongly implore UD to redesign this band because it's terrible. There's just no excuse, especially if you want us to pay $15 a pair.
Once I finally got them to stick though they looked amazing!!! I'd definitely recommend these lashes but patience is something you'll need handy when trying to apply them.

On my eye shape the flare on it makes the lashes droop at the corners instead of making the cat eye look. I would have done much better just getting a normal pair that just had longer hair at the corners to get a pleasing look. It might work on certain eye shapes but not mine.

Love!
-12.22.11
Quick Take: easy to use
I got these in Black Velvet. They are honestly the only eyelashes I have ever actually been able to get on my eyes and they stay all day. They look very natural on me and people didn't even think they were fake, which is exactly what I wanted. Everyone thinks they're my own! I will be buying more in the future.

I've worn false lashes from other brands before with no problems. I love Urban Decay, so I decided to try Black Velvet, and I just can't get them to work for me. I have large eyes, and the lashes are slightly shorter than my natural lash line. No matter what I do, I can't get the ends on either side to stay down. Such a shame, because where they actually stay glued they look beautiful.

I bought a pair of Plush, and like other reviews, I too noticed these lashes to be very much like shiny plastic. I needed lashes for photo's since I am a photographer and you cant wear these without Eyeliner, and unless I darken the photo, you can very much tell where the lash starts in the inner corner, not to mention they shine in the light of a flash, making them even more obviously fake. Not to mention they're hard to fit onto my eye. Definantly wont be buying these again.

I've always liked UD's lashes, especially their half lashes. FYI, I got Black Velvet in yesterday and they have tiny black feathers in them. They become a pain to put on because the feathers will stick very easily to any glue they come in contact with. I returned mine.

I bought these in Hot Number and Hoax. I was looking for the most natural looking ones, these are not. The lashes themselves are very hard and plastic feeling. The band is very thick and black. It made them very hard to shape to my eyes. With the band being black it's very noticeable and you must wear black eye liner. I will not buy these again.

love them
-05.09.11
These look so great! They are dramatic without being ridiculously over the top. I got them because I am allergic to latex and can't wear the ones you buy at the mall or drugstore. The glue didn't irritate my skin at all. It really does take 45 min to an hour to put them on the first time, though, so make sure you start getting ready early!

Very Mrs. Peel -- sixties retro
-05.01.11
Quick Take: flirty, retro, sturdy, fun
Minx is a lush lash with regular longer lashes. It gives a wonderful sixties inspired look. I use latex glue but the glue included (non-latex) is fun, too.

PLUSH- Very nice lashes, but not for wide eyes
-04.25.11
I got these in Plush. The instructions say to trim the strip to fit your eye, so when I went to measure, they were actually too small for me. I have big wide Persian eyes, so these just weren't wide enough to go all the way across my eyes. They were about 1/4 inch too short. They are very pretty and dramatic, so I wish they would have worked out. I have learned to go with either individual lashes or outer corner lashes instead of a full strip. If you have bigger eyes, you might want to try those if you haven't had luck with full strips. I also highly recommend Sephora's Lash Application Kit for those like me who are not so used to wearing false lashes and need the help!

I really liked the way these looked online but only had about 10-15 minutes to putthem on and I just needed more time and practice I could not get them to hold. On the other hand I love the Sephora last set that I purchase. The tools and lashes work very well and assist in putting on lashes in a short amount of time.
