Quick Take: reduces shine
I really liked this product and found that it took away my shine for awhile. It was not very long lasting though, and the container was a pain because it never gave you the right amount of powder.

Quick Take: reduces shine
I loved this product! It made my skin look so smooth and picture ready after use. My only complaints is that it doesn't last very long and you have to pound the stupid container to get the right amount of powder.

I've re-purchased this several times and I just love it. It works perfect over makeup to set it and look beautiful in pictures. Just don't use too much or you'll get a [slightly] white cast in photos.

How did I survive so long without using this product? I love it. I wear it over my make up and it keeps me looking and feeling fresh all day. I have an oily face, but you wouldn't even know it after I use this product. I'm very happy with it :)

Quick Take: sheer coverage
I have been on the search for a great finishing powder. This was my first powder purchase, and I am not impressed. I agree with the other reviewer who said she noticed nothing. Sure, the powder is colorless, nice texture, goes on velvety soft. But I didn't particularly notice my face to be less shiny or to have my fine lines blurred or to have my makeup stay on longer than it generally does on its own. I'll finish out the jar because I don't like to be wasteful, but my search for a finishing powder continues.

Quick Take: oil-absorbing, reduces shine
I've received countless compliments on how beautiful and flawless my skin looks... truth be told, I get about 4-hours of sleep, lack water, poor eating habits.. yes, life as a college student. Anyways, I've been using this powder along with other various HG items I've collected over the course of my life. It's never failed to keep my oily T zone matte (but not too matte) for a good 6 hours. I live in FL, so it really really humid around here and you have to reapply maybe ever 5 hours in the summer time in warmer climates. A little goes a long way, I use this everyday and it lasts me up to 2 1/2 months. I've tried other powders, but this one has an ingredient that works well with my skin I believe. Other products have talc, which I think dries out my skin? (personal experience) I have tried the Tarte clay powder, MUFE HD powder and LM loose powder before, but I ALWAYS go back to this one.

This is amazing. It is finer than MACs finishing powder, but offers the same amazing, air-brushed look. Worth the money. If you like this product you might want to try MACs finishing powder or Vera Wang's Illuminating Pressed Powder.

Completely Invisible - Not in a Good Way!

Quick Take: useless, soft
I was excited to see this powder because I am always looking for something to stop my face from shining. I don't have particularly oily skin, but my daily sunscreen creates shine that I don't want, and also in the summer, I notice more shine than in winter. I tried this powder, and I must say, after I put it on, I noticed absolutely no difference. My face was still shiny. The powder is nice - very fine, colorless, no scent, feels velvety, but as far as anything visual, it was the same as not putting anything on at all. I only give it two stars because I like the feel of it, but I would not spend the money on something that does absolutely nothing to your appearance.

I used to use the Bare Minerals finishing powder and loved it but I thought I would try this one because most of my other cosmetics are by Smashbox. It works great, especially when you are going out for the night, just don't use too much. I could see it on my face in pictures. A little goes a long way, and blend well.

I can not say how perfect this powder is! I have been an avid user for a long, long time now. With that being said, EVERY SINGLE SEPHORA in Orange County, CA has been out of this product for moonths (I prefer to buy in-store)!!! Because of this reason, I have used just about every other brand that has a translucent powder. I tried not to be biased and while some came close... No one compared! This product is truly incomparable and I will keep purchasing it for as long as Smashbox produces it!

This stuff is wonderful! This stuff is so much better than anything tinted, because it sets my makeup, without adding any additional colour, so I can use blush, bronzer, and highlighter, and it doesn't feel like it's added any layers. Keeps shine away, and I feel like it even improves the look of my skin!! I would give this a thousand stars if I could.

I consider myself a pretty harsh critic of most cosmetics and I'm always in search of my "new favorite ___." This is it! I have combination skin, some redness, and I live in Florida, where ALL makeup eventually melts off. This powder was introduced to me right before my wedding (for use on my wedding day, as it photographs well). It legitimately the best powder I've ever used. Upon application, it blends flawlessly and gives me a soft glow, all without shine. It stays all day - I can still feel the velvety texture of my face when I get home from work. And it DOES photograph well, as promised. I would highly recommend this product to anyone!

I love this powder. It works perfect for my some what oily skin. I have used other translucent powders in the past but none of them last on the skin very long. This helps my t-zone stay matte and oil free all day long. It leaves your skin feeling very silky smooth. This powder also doesn't cake up or dry out your skin. I would recommend this powder to everyone who really wants to lock in the makeup and have a matte finish.

I was a bit hesitant to buy this at first cuz a lot of the good reviews here came from people with oily skin and I have dry skin! But anyway, I went with my guts and tried it. I purchased this product yesterday and tried it as soon as I got home. I went on with my daily routine of makeup: moisturizer then foundation. Usually I'm satisfied with the dewey finish my foundation brings but putting this on top of my foundation was even better! Better yet, phenomenal! It brings out a natural-looking glow with a velvetty matte finish that I thought was unachievable for a dry skin folk like me but smashbox proved me wrong. I love you smashbox!

I really liked this powder. Leaves a soft matte finish on my skin, helps control oil better than my Bare Minerals, and natural looking. Don't be afraid of the white color it doesn't look chalky at all, it's virtually invisible. The only down side is that it is a little pricey. That said, I will buy it again.

I bought this product on a whim based on it's reviews. I was replacing my bare esscentuals mineral finishing powder that I thought was so wonderful...now I can't even remember it's name. Point is, this product makes all my makeup creations last ALL DAY LONG! I had a compliment from a coworker after a 12 hour day at work. "Whatever makeup you are using is fantastic! You look like you just put on a fresh face of makeup". It also keeps my lipstick in place ALL DAY! A little goes a loooong way. It doesn't cake, clump, crease, or change the color of your makeup. I feel photoready at any moment of the day when I use Smashbox as my finishing powder.
