Falls short
-05.03.13
Quick Take: portable
I bought the Blue collection and while the colors are simply gorgeous, the shadows travel all over the place - color ends up on my upper lid, as shadows under my eyes - its a mess. I have tried them with any eye shadow base and wet and still the same problelm. I am so disappointed, but for $56, I am taking it back .

Sienna Silhouette...gorgeous.
-05.01.13
Quick Take: portable, smooth, blendable, compact, pigmented
First, this compact is VERY small, but you hardly have to tap the colors with your eyeshadow brushes to get enough shadow, the color payoff and pigmentation is insane. I was pretty hesitant because of the price tag (one of the most expensive quads I own, and the size....) but this is going to last me a long time, I can tell. I just checked, the shadows I used from this this morning are still going strong and look flawless. The three brushes that come in the pull-out bottom are adorable, I'll probably never use them (maybe the middle angled brush) but it was a cute touch. So vibrant, pigmented, smooth, and blend like butter...easiest application, makes you look like a pro!

Gorgeous
-02.26.13
I have this quartet in both the Midnight Look and the Blue Collection. The colors are gorgeous. Blend VERY nicely together and have the ability to be very dramatic or more subtle for daytime look. I am very pleased. High quality product.

Khaki Egerie ROCKS!!!!!!
-02.03.13
Quick Take: unique; can't be duped, cutting-edge gorgeous, incandescent in effect
This is definitely one of the most beautiful eye shadow palettes I own (I tend to favor shadows by Dior, YSL & Urban Decay, but now I plan to expand this more to Givenchy). I still need to experiment with this palette some more, but here are some insights I hope will help you decide: 1.) I think they call these palettes "le Prisme" because the palest shade (in this case, palest yellow gold) is designed to be used as a "top coat." It refracts light (hence, "prism") & makes the other colors super sparkly. It also "sets" the othe shadows quite remarkably, so don't plan to layer other colors ON TOP of the pale gold; put the pale gold ON TOP of everything else you've put on your eyes, wherever you want your composition to sparkle like diamonds. 2.) The Sephora picture of Khaki Egerie makes the 2 greens look somewhat similar. In fact, they could not be more different. The lighter green gives you almost the effect of a light spring green color, BUT it's a light, spring-like khaki green rather than a candy pastel color. The darker green is like an army drab color shot through with diamonds. It's fantastic for deep contours and eyelining. 3.) The colors are more sheer than I expected. There's great color pay-off, but your skin still shows through -- which is a lovely effect I think. So play with them as if they were watercolors (although I think you're supposed to use them dry -- so far I haven't seen info anywhere that recommends using these shadows wet. If you want to try them wet, only wet a corner of each color so the rest of the shadow lozenge remain as-is). 4.) I STRONGLY recommend experimenting with the colors when you have some free time on your hands. I wasn't so sure I wanted to keep the palette when I first whipped it out of the Sephora box. But I sat there playing with the colors over and over, in multiple permutations, with my trusty bottle of eye makeup remover by my side. Once you figure out just what each one of these colors wants to do and how you can push it, you may just fall in love with this palette. I certainly have! And for those of us with super-pale blue (or blue-green) eyes, Khaki Egerie is EXTRA crazy flattering. Talk about making your eyes pop!

Excellent
-01.22.13
Quick Take: superior
I'm a celebrity makeup artist and this is one of my favorite palettes! I love the midnight series. I love to dip my brush under running water and dip into the lighter colors of the quad to create a base for long lasting color. Then I build on that with the other colors. It's such a superior color palette I use to create a striking eye! A must have!

not a good buy
-12.11.12
The product is soft, too soft. Even using my own good quality brushes I end up with flakes of color on my face.
The brushes that are part of the package are cheap and a waste of space.
Definitely not worth the cost.

Midnite Look WAY darker than web shows
-10.31.12
I am returning the Midnite Look pallet without even trying it on. It is way darker and "grayer" than the picture online. The darkest color is nearly black, and both colors on the right, which look purple online, are actually gray in person. I guess my search for a purple pallet continues

Purple Quad, Excellent Look
-08.05.12
This is pricey but more than worth it. The looks are much more interesting and versitle than they seem when you look at a monochromatic palette. But don't let that fool you. I tried this in the store and the quality is exemplary, the colors are smooth and silky and stay on until you take them off, the whole palette get's the highest score for being so incredibly nice and user friendly. If you're going to splurge, this is one you don't have to feel guilty about.

The only brown I can wear!
-06.19.12
I'm giving it 4 stars because I can tell it's not going to last very long - not because I use it every day but because it's so soft that the loss is in excess powder, whether it's on the brush or just residue. And it's pretty expensive.
However, the brown is so light that it can be used all over but buildable so it shows. I love all the colors except for the gold, which ironically is why I bought it in the first place. It's too gold and shiny.
If you have hazel eyes and don't wear brown because your eyes mimic the color, this is the brown for you! It makes my eyes look more green.
The other con is the brushes. I already lost one the second time I used it because they like to fall out. They're not great anyways and certainly cheaply made for givenchy.
Love it, use it all the time!

Decent, but not amazing. Not well coordinated.
-06.06.12
Quick Take: portable
This formula is decent (the lightest shade is a little gritty), but unfortunately the colours are really not well suited to be used together. It's a strange mix of warm toned colors with one cool-toned liner shade.
The formula is good enough that I would have kept it if the colors worked well together. But, I just didn't get what I wanted from this.

Spring Colors
-04.30.12
Quick Take: portable
I got the Bucolic Blossoms Quad and I love the bright fresh colors that seem perfect for spring. I gave it 4 stars because even though its very pigmented it is very powdery. The packaging is cute and I like the little brushes that slide out from their own compartment on the bottom.

Love this eyeshadow palette inSienna
-03.24.12
Quick Take: highly pigmented, blends easily
I bought this eyeshadow palette in Sienna and I love it. It really brightens my blue eyes and makes them stand out. I use the cream color on my lid and the peach color under my eyebrows and it looks great. The shadow goes on very smooth, and it lasts all day without primer.

KHAKI EGERIE - EXCELLENT QUAD ALTHOUGH $$$
-10.09.11
Quick Take: highly pigmented, crease resistant, blends easily
Givenchy's Le Prisme Eyeshadow Quartet in Khaki Egerie looks great with my pale coloring and brown eyes. I received a new unused quad in a makeup trade from someone with blue eyes who didn't think the shades would be all that good for her. (I tend to agree). I'm very pleased with the consistency of the shadows - it feels good between my fingers. The shades are nicely pigmented and look great with my brown eyes. They're rich and stayed in place all day (without a primer) without fading. The darkest shade can be used as a soft casual liner. The lightest doubles as shadow and highlighter. There are also decent applicators although I prefer using my own full sized brushes. The shadow also applies quite well with Q-Tips. I was lucky and didn't have to pay for my quad since it came in the trade. However, I was slightly surprised to see that these retail for $56, as the price point seems slightly for this, despite how good it is. While many of us probably have similar shades of shadow in our collections, one of the noteworthy things about this quad is that the powder applies to very very smooth finish, smoother than many other shadows I routinely use. It's an excellent quartet (with one star off for the price).
