provides great control over lining and last all day. don't get impatient and click too many times, though, because too much liquid will come out. just click once, give it a second and the right amount will come out.

not worth your money

As a long time liquid liner user, I know immediately whether or not it's a keeper. My eye lids fold in so I need a liner with amazing staying power. This is NOT worth your time or money. I started out with Stila liner but the tip doesn't stay moist and pointy long enough. I have been using Make Up Forever's Aqua Liner for about 2 years now and love it. I received this Shiseido one as a gift. If you sample on your hand it appears nice and fine and has good staying power. Applied on my lids, it flakes off in less than 3 hours!! I had to reapply using my MUF liner. It's also hard to control how much comes out of the tip. The price is too high for this low quality liner.

I have been looking for a liquid eyeliner that was as close to the old YSL liquid eyeliner pen. This Shiseido is the closest I have found so far. I got it in brown and it is a dark chocolate brown so it works great. It stays put all day as well and the application is pretty easy.You can make a very fine line or add a little thicker line for a bolder statement. For me I think it is worth the price and I would purchase again

Quick Take: long wearing, easy, convenient
This eyeliner is fairly easy to use since is a pen tip. Is is a brush pen tho not a felt style pen like Lancome's pen eyeliner. The color is fairly black and has pretty good staying power through out the day. Sometime you have to click it a couple times to get the ink to come out but overall its not bad. I am still on the search for the perfect eyeliner but this one is definitely not too shabby.

It is just like most of the Japanese makeups, it is so smooth and long-lasting, also it is easy applying. So far,I have no problems with the leaking.

Quick Take: crumbled onto my face., dry & flakey, not worth it - $$, really a letdown for me
Shiseido presents itself as a upper level cosmetic company. This product was nothing special. It was somewhat difficult to apply. I left it on overnite. It was a mess. You know, off of my upper eyelashes but on my lower lash and face, etc. I won't order it again.....

I am a fan of the cat-eye look, and this eyeliner really helps be precise! You just have to follow the directions that come in the package, about how to use the click-dispenser. I have had no problems with it leaking.
I bought the brown, but it is really a brownish black, which is ok with me. It makes a medium line, like other reviewers had mentioned, but I think that is the purpose when using liquid liner, no?
The only thing that you might watch out for is that it does flake a little, if you constantly rub your eyes. I am actually very surprised how well it stays on, given how much I touch my eye area...

This is a very smooth, long lasting liner- so easy to apply. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because the blue comes across as black- would have liked a better pigment- but I will buy it again.

NIGHT SKY - BETTER THAN AVERAGE BUT NOT FOR ME

I picked up an unused Shiseido Automatic Fine Eyeliner is a makeup trade. I'm best at pencils liners because I feel as if I get better control with them, and find they create a softer line, which is my personal preference. However, this Shiseido liner creates a somewhat tight line, so I don't have as much problem with the liquid. The brush is almost precision like in application, so it looks better than other liners, but still not what I really want. Night Sky is a nice blue. Although I would not buy this (because I prefer solid pencils), I'm glad to have gotten it in the trade, because it's a very nice eyeliner, and does provide a finer line than most other liquids which are too obvious and look too formal. It's great at defining, too. However, I still feel I can get a finer line with pencils (by allowing part of the point to overlap onto my lashes, something that can't be done with liquids. Mascara covers product from pencils, but doesn't work if there's other liquid product already on the lashes). If you like products like this, it's okay, and slightly better than average.

This is a great liquid liner. It does a nice tight line that I cannot get with my cake liner ( and I can get a pretty tight line with cake). Does not smudge, budge , or anything once it sets ( about 10 sec). I have not had any problems with it leaking or drying out as I have had with others. I bought it in black and will be back to buy the brown and blue.

This eye liner produces a very fine line and with the click button release you can make the line thincker. Not sure why other reviewers had problems..I have tried about 20 brands so far and this one is the best

This was very misleading for me. I was looking for a very tight line (however, the brush tip is till a little too large to give me that very tight line). However, it is prefect for a cat eye or a medium line. Will keep for this. Went back to my Laura Mercier cake eyeliner and Laura Mercier flat eye-liner brush (applied under top lash-line) for a tight dark (natural and beautiful) tight line. Therefore -1 star.

I have been looking for an eyeliner that will not feather in the corners of my eyes. I thought this was going to be the answer, but it still feathers. I am starting to think it is me! Otherwise, it stays on pretty well but i will still be on the look out for one that will stay put!

Positive: Very convenience beautiful jet black color eyeliner. ink flows easily through the brush by just one click and won't loose ink intensity by gravity. Dry fast, easily make thick and slim lines. Totally smudge-proof. Easy remove by eye make-up remover.
Negative: Ink often over released. Very flaky after couple hours.

Quick Take: long wearing
I’ve been trying out Shiseido’s new products and this is one of my favorite of their new products. The color flows easily from the wand and will create a thin or thick line depending on the angle in which I hold it. It doesn’t skip or miss as I’m lining. The black (which is the color I bought) is very, very bold and black. Once it’s dried, which is pretty quickly, it doesn’t budge all day even on my oily skin. I also use allergy eye drops several times a day and I’m bad about missing my eye so even when I have to dab around my eye to clean up the eye drops the liner stays in place without smudging or fading. It’s very easy to use and so far I’ve not had any trouble with it clogging up or drying out. I do wish it came in more color choices, but other than that I have no complaints. I’m very happy with my purchase.
