More Natural, Bad Applicator Brush

Love that this is a more natural mascara - which is the reason that I purchased it - but I feel as though I cannot truly review the quality of the mascara because the brush applicator is so poor at getting the product on my lashes. The brush tip is too large and bulky and does not separate the lashes well. Josie Maran co. would be wise to re-design the brush.

My everyday HG mascara

I can honestly say this is the best mascara I have ever used. It does exactly what it says: unclumpy, naturally perfect looking voluminous lashes. I swear I dont think you could get this mascara to clump even if you wanted to and it never flakes or smudges. I have used this mascara daily since I got a sample kit of Josie's that included a small tube
of this about 3 yrs ago. I instantly fell in love with the way it made my lashes look and feel(non crunchy) and I ran out of that little tube so fast I bought a full size only 3 weeks later. I tell you that was the first time I ever actually used up a mascara before it went bad in my life. Since I starting using this mascara Ive noticed my lashes have actually grown thicker,softer and healthier(dont fall out anymore) and I believe its all the natural beneficial ingredients like the argan oil. So all that and it helps a good cause, how can you beat that? I cant say enough good things about it and highly recommend to anyone who wants to look like they were born with perfect lashes.

This mascara makes a great mascara to use on a daily basis. It gives me just enough coverage so you can see I have eyelashes without giving me the night-time look that I like to save for special occasions.

I bought the glitz and glamour editor picks and found that I really loved this mascara. It doesn't irritate my eyes or contacts, flake or clump. It provided the perfect amount of length and volume

Quick Take: lengthening, long-wearing
I've tried all kinds of top-notch mascaras, like Lancome and Dior, but I think this is actually a superior product. It's really lengthening--my eyelashes actually bump into my eyebrows with this mascara. The thing I love most about it though is how well it stays on. I never have panda-eye problems with this stuff. I highly recommend it.

I'm surprised of the mixed reviews, I got a sample size of this mascara and I have no complains other than the price. It gives my lashes a very natural look and it doesn't smudge or flake on me, which is a huge plus, because I have long lower lashes and pretty much every mascare gives me racoon eyes after a little while.
This is not your dramatic volume, super lenghtening mascara, this is more of and every day, natural, beautiful look.

Quick Take: defining, conditioning, smooth
This isn't the most fabulous mascara I've ever used, but I love that it is natural, conditioning, and makes my lashes feel soft rather than brittle. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a mascara that is cruelty free, has organic and natural ingredients, and gives back a bit. I've tried other natural/organic mascaras and they've burned my eyes while washing off, but this comes of clean and without stinging. It is a tad clumpy when you first start applying, but with extra strokes it smooths right out. Overall, I'm very happy with this mascara!

The gals at Sephora hyped this product quite a bit. It's very messy, short, fat brush. Hard to was off the top of your eyelid when you get it on, doesn't volumize or thicken. Does curl your lashes, though. But took a long time to build up. I had better luck with drug store brands. Plus, it's pretty expensive. I will be returning.

Gentle On Lashes - Making Them Last!

I can honestly say that after searching for a gentle mascara with less harsh ingredients, I have found one I will purchase again. This mascara has a large round brush with pointed end to easily apply to lashes. I've noticed my eyes don't water when I apply it, meaning the ingredients must be more gentle for myself. Josie has some great products and I like that my lashes don't fall out anymore. They look longer and healthier. Purchase if you have sensitives and want to keep the lashes you have and then some. PS the only reason it's not a five is because I've had it for about a month now and it seems to be a little thicker when I apply it than smooth. So I need to brush my lashes out after application. Still really like it though.

I've recently decided to make a change to more natural beauty products, and this mascara fit the bill. I was worried that I'd have problems with smudging--my lashes seem to repel any mascara (including waterproof!) and I end up with raccoon eyes. However, I wore this through the day with no problems at all. It made my lashes look dark and fairly voluminous. I'm very pleasantly surprised that the formula is effective while still being a more natural alternative to other mascaras. I highly recommend it!

My eyes react to everything. EVERYTHING. This isn't an exaggeration. The slightest mascara crumb or smear makes them water and burn, the lids itch, and occasionally I wind up with eyestrain or tension migraines. However, there are times you just can't go without, and after liking the results I got with some of Josie's other products, I gave this a shot.
I was able to wear the GOGO mascara for a full 8-hour day in the office (and all unconscious eye rubs therein), and not a smear or a fleck out of place. I couldn't make this stuff budge while I wore it, but it removed like a dream at the end of the day! I can only chalk that up to the argan oil composition, but who knows. Additionally, I have medium-blond lashes that are long, but fine; they need a boost, but black mascara usually looks too stark on me without some help. This gave me instant, natural-looking lash definition without any additional eyeliner.
I experienced no problems with clumping -- there was a bit of a blob on the squared-off brush tip, but this was easily wiped on the bottle edge. Maybe this could be a problem if you're in a rush (or in the car?) but take half a second to wipe it back into the bottle and problem solved! I paired this mascara with the Argan Illuminizer on the browbone and under my eyes where the skin is thin and a little blue, and I couldn't be happier with the overall look!

Quick Take: volumizing, lengthening
The formula of the mascara is really nice, and it goes on well after practicing a few times, but there's one thing that's very annoying. The brush gets mascara ALL OVER THE EYELID even if you're very careful, so unless you want really light coverage, it's not ideal. I use the tarte eyelash primer beforehand, so light coverage doesn't do it for me, and I always have to clean it up with a wet q-tip. I really like the mascara, just PLEASE improve the brush Josie! Something a little longer and more slim would make the product go on better. It also burns if you get it in your eye, but it's not meant to be in there, so no points off for that.

Quick Take: clumpy and needs to be removed
This is one of the worst mascaras I have used, for the price-it is clumpy, and inconsistent when applying. I am going to return it and get my old stand by Lancome Defencils-whenever I try new mascara I am always sorry. .I keep hoping someone will come out with one that does exactly as they advertise...so far Defincils is it...

I was really excited to try out a mascara in her line so that I could continue my movement towards clean. However, it was just ok. The wand clumps easily and the mascara stays on so-so. It was not my favorite but it was also not the worst I've tried. I don't think I will spend $28 for this again.

I'm writing the review for the Xmas sampler size... Loved it! It made my lashes look fuller, but not fake; longer but not too unbelievable. No clumps to mess w/ afterwards :) j'adore!

I got two samples of this in different holiday sets and it took me a while to get to trying this lesser known product. Wow, I wish I had tried it sooner! I love this mascara, even though it is not water proof. It goes on smoothly, does not clump (not sure what others did to have that issue) and does not smudge. I've even slept in it with no smudges. I do curl my lashes before use and I find that works nicely. The product is a rich black, not smoky, which I also like. I will be buying the full size!

I am really allergic to most mascaras - including Almay, which is supposed to by hypoallergenic. My eyes get super red and itchy. This is the best natural mascara I've used so far for my allergies. My eyes still get red at the end of the day, but more from being tired I think. I can go most of the day without red eyes now, yay!
TIP: So that it doesn't get clumpy, I wipe off excess product on the opening of the tube. This seems to help a lot.
