Creme Ancienne Eye Cream
-05.06.13
Quick Take: hydrating, gentle, non-irritating
I am not sure that I have used this long enough to give a proper review. But after a couple of weeks, I will say that the area under my eye is softer. I believe it has a plumper look, where my normal is a sunken, allergy, tired eye look. I cannot say that it really helps my under eye wrinkles, however. Maybe with time, it will help. I am just starting to show signs of crows feet and I am hoping that this will help slow those down! I find that it also stays greasy feeling. Maybe I am using too much product? It will probably last a long time, which makes the price a little bit more acceptable.

Good Eyecream
-04.03.13
Quick Take: it's hydrating, goes on smoothly, it takes very little to cover eye area
I've been using this eye cream for about 3 weeks now and it's nice. It goes on beautifully - very smooth and keeps my "delicate eye area" soft and hydrated all day. I don't know about the age-delaying part but it does feel good all day.

Super moisturizing eye cream
-01.01.13
Quick Take: moisturizing, nourishing, emollient
I have tried so many eye creams claiming to be nourishing, and if I had just bought this right off the bat, I would have saved myself so much time and money. The price is a little jarring at first, but there is nothing better in terms of moisture. This will not replace your anti aging eye cream, but it is a Godsend for dry lids and under eyes caused by brutal winters or just regular dryness. This is better than Kinerase, Skyn Iceland, Korres, Lancôme, and Bobbi Brown for moisturizing eye creams.

exactly what I was looking for
-12.05.12
The skin around my eyes was looking dry, crepey. I described it as "elephant skin". Also, my eyes always feel dry. I splurged on this lovely little cream and it's super moisturizing, keeps the hydration all day and night, and is helping to reduce those fine lines and crepiness. Definitely worth the cost!

Great winter cream for age delay obsessed
-11.27.12
Quick Take: great for allergic dry aging tight skin
I have oily but dry skin. I am not prone to breakouts but I do get random allergies to a lot of cosmetics & lotions. This is the perfect moisturizer for me-- I need extra moisture for the winter, and in general , my skin has been dryer than normal, I think due to aging. I am also very allergic, and tend to get dry patches. Creme Ancienne has significantly decreased the occurrences of dry patches, has completely rehydrated my face (no more tightness), and has given me extra protection for winter winds and dry NYC apartment radiator heat! The product is very thick so you only need a little. I pat on the lotion firmly, using the heat of my fingertips to thin out and spread the lotion. At first glance, it will appear very greasy, but the oils are absorbed into your skin. I usually like Fresh smells, but I don't like this one. However, it is a very faint smell.

Wished it would have worked for me
-11.09.12
Quick Take: not for me.
My mom raved about this cream. I purchased some and used it for a week or so. Seemed a little thick for me at first, but I could see it really soaked it quickly. However, after a few uses in the am and pm, I started to get little red bumps around the my eyes. I am afraid I had to return it.

Quick Take: hydrating, absorbs quickly, creamy, rich
I initially was interested in this eye cream because of the great reviews. A major reason why I decided to try it out was because of the ingredients. I was looking for an eye cream that was very hydrating and moisturizing. Though this is marketed as being the "ultimate age-delaying solution", I did not find that it helped with lines and puffiness. It did help a little with under-eye circles though. I still give it 5 stars because it does what I want it to do. Other eye creams did not give my eyes the hydration and moisture it needed, this one delivered in that aspect.

Consistancy Very Hard
-08.30.12
Very disappointed in this cream. It is very hard cream, therefore you can't spread around the eye without rubbing. Also, for me, it did not absorb and stayed greasy feeling for hours. It might work well, but I didn't like application.

moisturizing, soothing, wonderful, but expensive
-07.17.12
Quick Take: hydrating, brightening, absorbs quickly
I love this eye cream, as I am on the second jar.It is very moisturizing to my ultra dry lids and under eye area. I had badly burned my eye area froma Peter Thomas Roth anti-aging gel, relulting n dry, crepey lids even a year later. This eye cream is wonderful as it feels so creamy, yet not tooo creamy that it clogs pores. I am prone to millia (little white bumps around the eye area caused my products that clog the pores, etc This product has not caused the millia aroundmy eyes!! ANd, at the same time, it makes my eyes feel amazingly hydreated!! I do not notice a difference as fas as this having anti-aging effects, other than keeping the eye area hydrated which is anti-aging in a preventative sort of way. I love this, and is here to stay. I tried some excellent products with retionols which are anti-aging for the eye area, but they were not soothing like this one. I am sure the retinol based eye creams will decrease fine lines, etc, but they were not good for my delicate skin the way the creme ancienne eye cream is....I love the feeling of my eye cream making my delicate skin around my eyes feel so velvety soft!! I am on my second bottle, and its now part of mybeauty arrsenal. One helpful hint.......I went through the first tub very quickly since I used too much.No need to use a lot to make your eyes supple and soft. On my seocnd tub, I useit more sparingly. I sometimes use it throughout the day, but a tiny bit at a time. It feels firm int he tub, but becomes creamy when it hits the armth of yur skin. EXCELELNT PRODUCT!!

Not what I expected
-05.05.12
I used this product for a month and did not see any improvement in moisture or fine lines. I found it to be very greasy and had to mix it with another product in the daytime to be able to wear eye make up without it sliding off. Wouldn't have minded the price if the product delivered. I am sending it back.

Hydrates but does not reduce wrinkles
-04.19.12
Quick Take: hydrating, does not reduce wrinkles
I love the thick, moisturizing properties of this product, but after several months of use, it does nothing for fine lines or wrinkles. This is a VERY expensive product and I love Fresh, but I would never buy again. I had high hopes that did not pan out.

Awesome!
-04.12.12
Quick Take: hydrating, brightening
I was recently told that I MUST begin using an eye cream because of my age. (Probably should've started 10-15 years ago!) Anyway, I never used eye cream in the past because I never found a product that I really liked. Everything seemed kind of "goopy." Now that I have this eye cream, I can't stop using it. I started using it at night only. This morning I decided to try it and forgo any eye make-up except for mascara. It's perfectly hydrating and not the least bit irritating. While the glass pot is a bit on the small side, a little bit of product goes a long way.

Seriously, I will never use another eye cream...
-03.24.12
Quick Take: hydrating, rich, ultimate eye concern solution
Like many, I have been searching for the perfect eye cream forever. This is the one. I promise. I have been thinking about buying this for a looooong time, but the price always made me feel too guilty. I decided my VIB 10% off coupon justified the purchase :) This is an amazing product. Very thick and rich, so you only need a smidge. After just one night, the appearance of my under eye lines was diminished, dark circles reduced, and no puffiness! Not only that, but my skin was so soft, supple, moisturized. It has been a few weeks and I can't wait to get this stuff on my face each am and pm. Unlike some reviewers, I have no problem using this during the day. Just make sure it is the tiniest bit and you will be fine. You can go a little heavier at night, if you like. Will never use another eye cream!

Works as expected
-03.21.12
Quick Take: lightweight, hydrating, rich, melts into skin
So far, so good... I have been using this for about a week. It does a really good job of smoothing my fine undereye lines and already seems to have pretty much resolved my issues with undereye crepiness. I apply it by *tapping* my finger into the pot and then lightly pressing my finger it onto my skin; because it is a thick paste you think you are applying less with this method than you actually are, but once it sinks in you will see it was enough and it just 'melted' into your skin. Ten minutes after applying this I cannot stop touching my undereye area because it is fascinatingly baby-soft, so much so that I kindof want to try the regular face cream even though I probably don't need it.
This product is very healing... I have a tendency to pick at my blemishes, and it does a fabulous job at healing the skin damage at those spots after one or two nightly applications to the affected area (any broken skin heals and redness is drastically lessened). I do not think this product is as effective if other products are applied underneath it, but those results may vary depending on what you are using it with.
I use it at night under my eyes and on blemishes, but during the day only on my undereye area (underneath Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay concealer - it comes in a stick and I buff it out with a Sephora Pro #57). I find that my concealer looks much better through the whole day than it did before I started using this product.
Sometimes I find that a product will quickly give me great results, but doesn't exceed that level of improvement with continued use (I'm talking to you, Tarte ReCreate primer); if this product goes that route, I will be sure to update. So far, I am happy with my purchase.
As an aside, in my curiosity about the CA face cream I read a negative review (of the face cream) on MUA by somebody who brags about having a skincare license and falsely states that there is no water in the CA formula (rendering it ineffective); both the face and eye creams do contain rosewater ("ROSA DAMASCENA FLOWER WATER") which is, by definition, aqueous. Also, waterlogging your skin cells doesn't necessarily do anything for them and you will probably do more for your skin by drinking a couple glasses of water than you will buy buying beauty products that are mostly water; what most people need is to prevent the loss of existing moisture, which can be accomplished with vitamin-rich oils and, in the case of a product like this one, waxes.

I have very dry under eyes and since I hit 30 have tried everything from drugstore to La Mer to olive oil trying to keep my under eyes moist overnight. This product does the trick. It is VERY thick and creamy, you only need a little. If you have dry orbit area, this may be for you...
