Not Good for My Curly Hair

I was so excited to try this shampoo after one of my roommates (who has very straight, fairly healthy hair) got the shampoo/conditioner combo and raved about the results. I have very curly, considerably damaged hair and after over a month of consistent use this shampoo (a) did nothing to repair my hair, (b) dried it out even more, and (c) actually made me lose over twice as much hair as the Living Proof Restore shampoo I replaced it with. I'm sure this product will be great for some (e.g. my roommate) but it was horrible for me and I wouldn't advise any other curly-haired girls to try it.

Quick Take: hydrating, good for daily use, smoothing
This is a great product, it really helps my color-treated hair stay manageable and smooth. Keeps away the frizz. This is my second time buying it and I am picky. It is the only product that compares to Kerastase in my opinion, and is a little cheaper. I will switch off with Kerastase since I think your hair gets used to product after a while. The conditioner is great too, but I think the shampoo is the star.

I'm not sure if you're aware but this stuff is GLUTEN FREE! I got this shampoo & conditioner for my mother who is gluten intolerant a it works miracles!!! She has tried tons of hair care products designed with her intolerance in mind, and this is BY FAR THE BEST!!! It's a little pricy, but totally worth it when I saw my Mum's smile after she used it. After 1 week of use, her hair went from dry, stripped & straw-like to SOFT, STRONG & BEAUTIFUL! I definitely recommend it if you're gluten intolerant!

The shampoo/conditioner set is so worth the money. Quality ingredients, worth the price. I like that it is sulfate free! I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, and this shampoo leave my hair clean and grease free for days.

My hair has been on the dry side for a few years from coloring and just normal aging. My once super dense head of fine to medium hair has become more like a still-dense head of very fine hair. I haven't lost a lot of volume, but it's a lot more delicate and was starting to become brittle.
I tried this shampoo after many misses with other sulfate free shampoos that tended to dry my hair out more or weight it down. I was really pleasantly surprised. Here's my observations:
- After one use, my hair was shiny, soft and very bouncy.
- After a month of use, my hair seemed visually thicker and felt even better to the touch.
- This shampoo never built up or weighed my hair down, and it seemed to moisturized my scalp effectively, too.
- Extremely high lather even in hard water.
- My color was preserved longer with this than any other anti-fade shampoo I've ever tried. The proof is in the fact that I can actually squeeze an extra week between appointments, something I was never able to do before.
- I used this with my conditioner from another brand and got great results. When I added the matching Caviar conditioner to my routine, I saw similar results, so I think it's just the shampoo that really works well. Since it's an expensive line, I thought that was important to mention.
- A little goes a long way, a pea sized amount for up to medium hair, a tiny bit more for longer hair, so the price per use might be a bit easier on the wallet than it seems at first.
Bottom line: If you have young, shiny, bouncy hair and can use drugstore brand shampoos with great results, don't waste your money. If you have damaged, dry or aging hair that you want to see looking like it did 10 years ago, or if you just want to protect your color....worth every penny!

I have never ever written a product review; however I do rely on them when I am shopping so felt I absolutely had to share. Product is amazing - did everything it promised. I have coarse, thick, wavy hair. Used the shampoo with the conditioner and the Kendi oil mist. Totally transformed my hair. So soft and manageable. I can't stop running my hands through it. Ridiculously expensive but I am hooked! Seems like the product will last awhile though. Would absolutely recommend it.

I tried this and the conditioner as a sample from Sephora. I liked how soft and shiny my hair felt, despite being through three colorings (my colorist messed up my hair just before my wedding and so a new colorist had to treat it twice to just get me to presentable for my wedding). I bought this and the conditioner. Quite expensive. Around $30 per bottle. But, the sales person said the shampoo and conditioner are concentrated. Yes, they are. I use a pea size of each per wash.

First off, I have very thin hair that gets dried out and weighed down quite easily. I was looking for a shampoo/conditioner combo that would clean my hair and scalp while making it lighter and moisturised. I'm not sure how I got roped in to paying $40 each for a bottle of shampoo and conditioner but I was promised that this would be the product for me so I can only attribute it to my desperation at the time. This was without question the worst $80 (before tax!) I've spend in my life (it actually makes me nauseous when I think about it). I have no problem spending big bucks for a product that actually WORKS but at $40/bottle I expect a heck of a lot better results out of it than I could get from an $8 bottle of Pantene. I continued to use it thinking that perhaps it's one of those products that takes time to see results but if anything I'd say my hair has gotten worse since purchasing it and of course I've used too much to return it by now.
At best I can say my hair feels slightly lighter but more in the fly away sense rather than the healthy sense. It certainly has not been any less dry, my scalp does not experience any less build up, and I definitely don't have any more volume. If you really like Pantene-Pro V but would rather spend $40 to have half the amount in a purple bottle then by all means, this product is for you!
But if you're like me who doesn''t have money to (literally) throw down the drain and you try to save your pennies for products that actually work, you'll probably feel like you've been scammed.

I tried this product based on the reviews and was not disappointed. It is a good shampoo that cleans well and has a nice fragrance. It really didn't add much moisture to my hair which is what I purchased it for but I will use it up instead of returning it.

After just one wash, this shampoo and conditioner had transformed my dry hair. It was so soft, and looked like something straight out of a commercial. I highly recommend. But use a little less than you normally would - it really goes a long way!

Not At All Impressed

Quick Take: very drying, not color safe, damage inducing
I have seen positive reviews for this product everywhere. So, when I found this with it's companion conditioner at a special price (plus an additional % off) I decided to try it. Unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. This shampoo and conditioner left my hair very, very dry. Plus, I have my hair highlighted and this system stripped my color. My hair was in really good condition before using this. Now, I will need to find something else to heal the damage, dryness, and frizz that this system caused.
I realize that my experience seems contradictory to the majority of reviews. But, this was my experience with the so called "Caviar" line. My advice would be to proceed with caution especially if you color your hair in any way. Hopefully, my experience will save someone else from making the same mistake.

I was looking for a quality shampoo which would work on my color treated hair without weighing it down but add moisture. With most sulfate free items, they don't foam when washing but this does! It left my hair feeling fantastic - moisturized without being weighed down! I would totally recommend this product!

This is one of the best shampoos I have ever used. I have a dry scalp and for some reason dry, lifeless hair. I have natural jet black hair and this shampoo has made my hair so shiny and glossy I could see myself in it! Well not really lol, but people think I use serum or other hair products but it's just the shampoo alone. Great product :)

I have normal hair - not dry, oily, or a lot of damage. There are pros and cons to the shampoo/conditioner set. I didn't realize it was a moisture shampoo when I ordered it so I was afraid it was going to weigh down my hair - but it didn't. I can honestly say I have never felt hair this soft on anyone and my hair looks shiny and healthy. Another bonus is a little goes a long way and it smells great. The con in this is that I've never had so many fly aways, when I put my hair in a bun I look like a q-tip. I normally air dry my hair - but with this product blow drying or flat ironing is required. But once I do that my hair looks great!
