The Very Best
-01.19.13
Quick Take: soothing
This is the best cleanser that I have EVER used and believe me, I have used alot of cleansers over the years! It takes all of the makeup and grime of the day off and also removes eye makeup without any irritation. I have tried using other cleansers but only for one night and I can see the difference and the breakouts start immediately when I switch. Make certain that you start with DRY skin when using this cleanser and you won't be disappointed.

Not as great as I expected
-12.28.12
I love the idea if a cleansing face oil so splurged on the $40 Bobbi brown. I thought it had very little scent if any.
And it burned my eyes every time I used it. It went back

Gives me sever breakouts :(
-11.15.12
I have normal skin type, and I can get a little on the drier side in the winter. I don't usually get breakouts very often. I ran out of my old DHC Cleansing Oil so I tried the Bobbi Brown one, which seemed to be very similar. Then I started to get breakouts in multiple spots, places where I never had breakouts before even when I was a teenager, like right on the apples of my cheek. I thought it was the new foundation causing the troubles at first. But once I switched to the Clinique Take the Day Off, my breakouts have been disappearing gone very quickly. I feel bad for wasting all that money on a pricy product that is going to the trash.

So far, so good!

Quick Take: gentle; doesn't strip the skin
Love it, so far. It removes makeup and doesn't dry my skin. It works like other oil cleansers I've used, and I like the convenience of being able to purchase from Sephora.

Gentle + great makeup remover
-09.08.12
It's a very luxurious experience using this cleansing oil. The light fragrance is calming while I massage it into my face and it removes all traces of my makeup. I love not having to do a separate step. It rinses off easily and my skin feels clean and fresh afterwards and not dry and stripped like many other cleansers do. Of course I wish it wasn't so expensive, but I think it will last a while!

Not a huge fan

I have tried other cleansing oils, just don't like them I guess. It was not magical at removing waterproof makeup at all. Returned.

Quick Take: milky
I absolutely love this cleanser. I have combination, acne-prone skin, so I have to be careful about what I put on my face. Makeup residue is a major culprit for causing breakouts, so it's imperative to have an efficacious cleansing regimen that will remove every trace. Oil cleansing is a prime way to remove makeup -- rather than scrubbing your face with a washcloth/makeup removing wipe or wasting a facewash that's better suited for bare skin, this oil will "melt" your makeup, rendering it easier to rinse away. With Bobbi Brown's Cleansing Oil, I only need about 3-4 pumps to take off a full face of makeup (foundation, concealer, powder, blush, eyebrow pencil, mascara, primer, etc). I warm the oil in my hands and spread it gently across my face, then massage it in for a few minutes using small circular motions. I can actually feel and see the hard, tiny sebaceous filaments that were clogged in my pores throughout the day get loosened by the oil and end up on my fingers; sounds gross, but that's how I know it's awesome. The oil will become a sort of milk when mixed with water -- not foam -- and though it will take a few rinses to get rid of the milk and melted makeup, there will be no oily residue left on my skin. In fact, I find that this oil tends to be a tad drying, so if your face is parched, it might be necessary for you to moisturize after using this product. Also, this may momentarily leave your eyes "cloudy" if you're using it to remove eyeliner, eyeshadow, or mascara. This oil has never broken me out and the bottle has lasted me over a year -- when I run out, I'm definitely buying again.

Love this cleanser. I don't even need a separate eye makeup remover. Cleans my skin completely and never makes it feels dry or too oily.

Love It!
-08.07.12
I started using BB products about 4 months ago and I love the way my skin feels and looks. I have invested in the skincare and some of the makeup. I have gotten many compliments on my skin because it looks clean and clear. I use the Cleansing Oil as the first step in my skincare routine. It makes my skin feel great!

Best make-up remover but irriates my eyes.
-03.14.12
Quick Take: foamy, very effective
This is the best make-up remover I have found. It literally melts off my make-up, even eye make=up, EVEN heavily applied make-up for the stage. It also has a lovely smell. The residue irritates my eyes unfortunately. I will say, though, that every eye-makeup remover either irritates my eyes or leaves them feeling "cloudy". If they do not affect your eyes in that way then I highly recommend this great cleanser.
