Quick Take: soft bristles
I wet eye shadow and use it as eye liner. This brush allows me to wet it and then dip into the shadows with no mess. It goes on smooth. The brushes cleans and drys so fast too. Perfect eye liner brush!

Quick Take: precision shaped
This brush is beautifully shaped to precision and allows you to apply eyeliner more easily and get a great line. It's larger than I expected but works better than any of my other eyeliner brushes and gives me more options; I can use the point, the narrow side, or the flat side. It did not do as well with wet liner, as it separated when wet.

Hmmm, I needed an eye liner brush and just went for the Bobbi Brown one. First thing is this brush's bristles tend to splay apart when lining the eyes, especially when used to tight-line with the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner. That is so annoying! Other than that, this brush is ok. A bit overpriced in my opinion.

Since I’m such a makeup junkie, I received the Bobbi Brown brush collection for my 25th wedding anniversary present. I have been thrilled with the top quality of these brushes. This eyeliner brush is wonderful. I use it for applying both powder and cream eyeliners and it does an excellent job with both types. The brush is soft against my eye, yet firm enough so that it will make a precise line right up against the base of my lashes. The bristles are shaped to make it easy to fit right up against the lashline so I don’t have to worry about not getting my eyeliner close enough and leaving a gap between lashes and liner. It will make a very thin line or tilted it will make a wider line. The handle is easy to grip and the bristles do not shed at all. It has held up well through several quick cleanings with a brush cleaner, plus a couple of deeper cleanings with a mild soap and water. I just let it air dry and it dries looking brand new and keeps its shape. This is a top quality brush that I expect to get years of use out of. I think Bobbi Brown brushes are excellent and this one is no exception—I’d recommend it to anyone interested in it.
