Quick Take: full of fallout and has no pigment when worn
I returned this - it does not have the same appearance when wearing - glittery, tons of fallout especially for a cream shadow, and pigment is barely visible. All glitter.

Quick Take: glimmering, long-lasting, easy to apply, adaptable (subtle to dramatic), flattering
So... I usually try and find some 'constructive criticism' in these reviews, even when I am very positive about the product overall. But I just can't complain about anything here for the following reasons:
1) It is a lovely, subtle shimmer and though I have pale skin, I think it would be universally flattering.
2) It is not so subtle that it doesn't glimmer in a visible way. And you can layer for intensity. Visible enough for impact but tasteful/gentle enough that you're not auditioning for the latest Hard Candy ad for 14 year olds. You can layer it all the way to the brow bone or concentrate it as you see fit.
3) Speaking of layering, I have used this over other cream shadow formulations (I've never tried it with powder so I can't say) and it is great. It just takes the color up a notch.
4) These is no creasing, no travelling of sparkle. It stays put all night. I haven't tried it, but I bet that I could sleep in it and it would be just fine.
5) Incredibly versatile; can be subtle enough for day or romantic-glowy enough for night (especially when paired with black eyeliner).

This product is not only long-lasting and creaseproof, but it can be used for subtle or dramatic effects. A thin layer during the day adds just enough "pop." A little more takes you out on the town. I love it.

I LOVEA THIS EYAESHADOW!!! it is such a pretty color tht goes on smooth. When you first put it on you still have a little bit of time to play around with it but once t dries its there for good!! This lasts FOREVER without th urban decay primer potion and with it even longer I was out with this on and all day from 7 to 10 not a single crease!!

Quick Take: pretty, bright & a bit sparkly
I try all kinds of make up - and this one, well I was just attracted to the sparkle. I find this easy to apply, the sparkle (in the gold) is beautiful and adds just a bit of brightness. I don't want it to outshine my eyes and face, and it doesn't, but it is beautiful. Good job, Bobbi Brown - I'm becoming a fan!

Quick Take: crease resistant, lasts all day/night
I first started using Bobbi Brown products when I was asked to be a test model for a demonstration. After my makeover was complete I received a free gift bag of their products; this shadow included. After using this and their gel eyeliner I was hooked. I was fortunate enough to be able to try this shadow for nothing but I continue to buy it because it is simply the best. It's sparkly but in a refined way and it never creases or runs like many other shadows I've tried. Also I found I can let it dry and layer it for different intensities of the color. I highly recommend this and all Bobbi Brown eye makeup!

Great for special occasions

Quick Take: crease resistant, buildable
Recently wore Goldstone to an evening wedding & it was really gorgeous. It's a mix of gold & silver sparkle. I would definitely recommend the BB cream shadow brush to apply, otherwise you'll end up with glitter all over your face. I also recommend dabbing it on with the brush, rather than swiping. It is completely buildable and lasted a full 6 hours with no creasing or need for re-application. I only gave it 4 stars because the price is a little high for something I will not wear very often.

It really does stay put, without creasing, for HOURS. And it stays bright, too! One of the few products I've used that really delivers what it claims. Though it is a cream shadow, it blends LOVE IT!

I was so excited when I got this product, but was ultimately disappointed. It creases easily, even when worn over a primer/base. I've tried blending it and setting it with a translucent powder--still no luck. The color is great, the staying power, not so much.

This is a nice base for a shimmery golden look, I use it as the base color and then add a powder eyeshadow that compliments it on top or in the outer V. It lasts quite well on my oily lids.
I dont know why Sephora only carries this in two colors, can you please carry all the metallic colors from bobbi brown?

I am sure this is meant to be used with a brush....but I'm a girl who has always done my eye makeup with my fingers. Due to a degenerative disease it is hard to hold brushes and get results with any accuracy. I love the color and use it on my lips too! After I stain my lips...I add the gold and then add on a sheer gloss. It sets the stain and my lips shine all night. The only reason I rated it a 4 is because of how narrow the top of the jar is....btw-be daring the metalic blue is gorgeous too!

The actual color is more muted than the photo shows however, I like it much better. Very muted. Can be layered from light ( for dayime look) to a heavier (for evening look ). Very creamy but easy to apply. No creasing.

Quick Take: crease resistant
The sales girl recommended the goldstone as base for powder shadow and it worked really well with most colors that I have because it provides a very neutral base. I would not use it alone though as it is quite light and I prefer darker shadows. I have quite a collection of Bobbi Brown cream shadows and none of them smudge nor crease. They are long wearing and water resistant.

I don't know why Sephora doesn't carry more of the metallic shades because they are beautiful!
I have the shade Mercury and love it; it's a smokey sparkling silver gray.
These metallic long-wear cream shadows go on nicely; although on the sheer side. Buildable color. Very long-lasting!
