i bought this moisturizer b/c i have been using their serum from a sample pack and love how it feels on my skin. this moisturizer does absorb quickly and doesn't have a distinct smell or anything. i just don't know if it really is doing anything else except act as a UV defense. i don't notice any differences in my skin tone or feel. i'll keep it but probably won't buy it again.

I am waffling about returning this. If you approach it as a sunscreen that moisturizes (because it feels like sunscreen for faces going on) then it is a great product. However, I was looking for light weight hydration and so it feels a bit heavy and a little greasy. It does moisturize well though and that is why I gave it 3 stars.

This is the best moisturizer!
I live in Hawaii and I have fair skin. I needed something that could last all day and protect and moisture my skin --- this is it! It's light and doesn't smell. It offers protection and is long-lasting.

I love this moisturizer. It feels so soft going on and isn't oily at all. It just disappears into my skin. I love that it has a 45 SPF too so I don't have to worry about putting on extra sunscreen.

I like how weightless it is for SPF 45. Haven't tried anything like that before. Usually moisturizers which are more than SPF 15 are heavy and oily. This one never gives you this feeling. A little pricey though:(

It's a great lightweight moisturizer with a high SPF that does not leave your skin greasy or shiny or feeling coated. I use the Skinceuticals zinc oxide sport stuff in summer because I am out in the sun alot, but this is perfect for everyday.

I found Philosophy Hope in a Jar too heavy. I told the specialist that I wanted a moisturizer that was oil-free, had an SPF of at least 30 and was light.
She said she used DDF Weightless Defense UV Moisturizer SPF 45. I love it. I use it winter and summer.

I just started usng this product as I need a high SPF coverage due to my sensitive skin and use of retinol at night. I had been using Philosophy moisturizer with the SPF 55 and although I liked it I didn't feel I was getting the full benefits from it. I love this moisturizer and so far it has done well with my sensitive skin.

I have combination skin where the parts of my face that's oily gets really oily, and the other parts that are dry get really dry. So it's been hard for me to find a good day moisturizer that won't make me look oily but still give me the moisture that I need. This moisturizer was the answer to my prayers!!! It's oil free, feels very light, and most of all it make my face feel so smooth and perfect! The added SPF is a great added bonus and it saves me a step in preparing my skin before makeup. I don't think it smells bad at all, I mean it doesn't smell like roses and rainbows, which is good in my opinion because that means it's pure and not added with chemicals to make it smell good. In short, this moisturizer is heavenly, powerful, and simply AMAZING!!!

Not a great replacement for Moisturizing Dew

I bought this on the recommendation of the salesperson when they stopped selling my go-to product DDF Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew SPF 15, hoping it would still be that perfect combination of lightweight moisture and sun protection without making my skin shiny, but it is not. The product feels very nice on my skin, but I am shiny immediately. If you are not oily this may be a product for you, but steer clear if you have oily skin.

I love that this moisturizer is weightless and not oily. It absorbs quickly and provides SPF 45 protection all day. I switched to DDF after my favorite SPF 30 moisturizer was discontinued and love it. I like the smell of SPF so it doesn't bother me, but if you do not like the scent of sunblock, this is not the face moisturizer for you.

I like this DDF weightless uv moisturizer. I like how it is SPF45 and lightweight. I have been using another brand that was similar, but thought I'd try this out. My only complaint is that it smells like sunblock. I don't like that smell first thing in the morning. The price is a little high, but for the high SPF, I might purchase it again in the future.
