Givenchy Le Soin Noir Eye

What it is:A targeted, antiaging eye gel emulsion that helps nourish and smooth the delicate eye area. What it does:Formulated with powerful black algae sap concentrate, this gel reduces puffiness, brightens dark circles, and smoothes and evens out the entire eye contour area. The eye area is rebuilt and regenerated, spectacularly regaining tone and suppleness. Rested, revitalized and glowing with new radiance, the look of the eyes is beautifully transformed. What else you need to know:Black algae sap concentrate restores cell communication, a unique process essential in the activation of skin structuring, repair and defense mechanisms. Cells become more receptive to the complementary active ingredients specially formulated to fight the factors responsible for dark circles and puffiness, such as high permeability and vasodilatation of blood vessels and inadequate drainage.Sephora is the exclusive beauty retailer for this product.

Quick Take: hydrating, brightening, absorbs quickly, amazing
I purchased this a while back, through a friend because I didn’t have a Sephora near me at the time. I purchased both Le Soin Noir
I own a lot (huge understatement) of skincare products, especially eye products. I tend to get dark circles under my eyes, and I’m pretty much as fair as you can be so even though they’re not black, they’re still very predominant. I have products that work, with the help of other various products, but I’ve never used anything that I didn’t need a second product with, until I purchased this one.
I purchased this a while ago through a friend, because at the time I didn’t have a Sephora near me, and I purchased this along with the Le Soin Noir cream. These are very expensive products, but worth every penny. I’m used to purchasing rather expensive products, especially skincare, so it wasn’t as hard, however if you need to save up for it, do it.
I was using various eye creams prior to using this one, I didn’t really have a HG product. I’ve used anything from Lancôme to La Mer, La Prairie to Chanel, Dr. Perricone to Dior, you name it. I don’t wear Givenchy anyone for one reason, and one reason alone… I’m out. I just found this bottle going through my things, and I had an “ohh!” moment. I definitely need to repurchase this stat.
This literally erased my dark circles; I was expecting great things from this product, but not this good. It also brightened them (my YSL Touche Éclat has competition). It’s black, yes, but it goes on transparent. A little goes a long, long way, so it will last.

Quick Take: hydrating, brightening, absorbs quickly, reduces puffiness, reduces dark under-eye circles
Over the years I've used many eye products and have never found one to compete. Reduced dark circles and under-eye puffiness and prevents the eyelid from that crepy look . Not sticky and looks great under or without makeup. I have always needed under eye concealer in the winter -- but not when I use this product. Each time I think I won't spend the money, I return briefly to one of the $100 cremes in my stash. Tried it Thursday night with a recently purchased high end eye product; looked at my eyes and saw how puffy the were and remembered why I love this product.

AMAZING

Quick Take: hydrating, brightening
I have tried every eye cream ever because I have genetic dark circles. I also have puffiness and have noticed more fine lines as I age. I started using this and am so happy I have finally found something I am satisfied with. I have already noticed an improvement in dark circles and fine lines. My makeup goes on much nicer and stays on better. Although it is pricy, if you have the same issues I do, it is definitely worth it. I'm looking forward to trying the face cream next.

nothing permanent

Quick Take: awful
I've been using thiis product for about two months, hoping that my eye area becomes firmer. This gel works "instantly" by forming a sticky layer around your eyes to fill in lines and make dark circles appear less. It does not do anything for puffiness. Appears better under makeup, but without it accentuates the wrinkles and makes your eyes look worse. You still have to use a moisturizer and concealer. Don't waste your money.

beautiful packaging, but not worth it
-10.17.12
I had high hope with this product, but turns out there's really nothing special about it. The gel actually dried out the skin around the eye area. I had to apply another eye cream to keep the skin hydrate. I don't see any improvement with fine line & dark circle, and puffiness. I'm going to try out eye cream from Lancome the next. Hopefully, i will find a miracle product from their line.

It's Ok, not for fine lines though.

Quick Take: brightening
For $185 I kind of expected to perform miracles on both dark circles and fine lines. Although it does help with brightening, nothing special. Defiantly does nothing for my fine lines. I

Quick Take: brightening, absorbs quickly
Let me start my review by saying I have horrible herditary bags and dark circles under my eyes. Nothing I do diminishes them. I've tried it all, lotions, potions, creams, ice, cold spoons, you name it. Nothing works at all. So I am browsing Sephora and I see this. I figure, I'll try it and if nothing else, I can send it back.
15 minutes after the UPS truck pulls away I am applying this creme - yes it is black, but not how you think. Its translucent once it gets on your skin. Nothing. Needless to say I'm disappointed. 5 mintues later I go back to peek to see if anything happened and I am amazed. My horrible bags are gone, as are the black circles. I actually feel like I look younger again. This is a really good creme. You dont need much, so I think it will last a long time. My next step was surgery for my eye bags. I will not do it now, as long as this works as well as it does.

So far, so good!
-06.14.12
Quick Take: hydrating, brightening, absorbs quickly
I've been using this for roughly a week, but thus far I'm impressed. My daily concerns are sensitivity, fine wrinkles, and anti-aging. Occasionally I'll get dark circles and puffiness if I haven't slept. This has helped with all of my concerns almost immediately when using twice daily. The product smells nice and the darkness of it soaks into the skin within a few minutes -- I never wear concealer and it hasn't looked like I've been hit in the face yet. I also haven't experienced any sort of burning or eye watering as I have with other products. Of course I'd like to finish the first jar to see what the true verdict is but so far, so good. The price tag can be shocking for anyone at first, but if you have it to spend every so often, then you should give it a try. Bonus -- it looks super cool and the packaging is amazing!

I only got to try this because I was given a deluxe size sample, this is beyond my budget. But if I could I would buy this and the face cream in second. It was truly amazing and made my skin feel like silk. It does everything it claims it can do. If you can fit this in your budget I would buy it.

Great at depuffing eyes!!!

Quick Take: helps with puffy eyes
I think the puffiness around my eyes are from allergies not just getting old (60). This product is very expensive (in my opinion) but is worth it. It helps both the puffiness above and below my eyes. The product is black so I am not sure if it gets rid of dark circles but the darkness of the product is covered up by regular makeup and does not need a concealer. If a product does not work it is not worth what you pay for it so when a product does work I am willing to pay the price, and this product does work.

Quick Take: soothing, brightening
This cannot be any more perfect. I have tried all kinds of high end eye creams and none of them come close to this. I have never had firming and brightening effects like this. I was on a trip for one week and barely got 3-4 hours of sleep each night but I used this every morning and it felt like i slept a full 8 hours. This product is truly what i have been searching for as my miracle fix to tired eyes!
