Dior's products are at a slant

I've been a loyal customer of Dior since 2007 and am sourly disappointed by the deteriorating quality if their products in recent years. This new lipstick I just bought is no exception. It smears once applied and feathers like no tomorrow. As with all of Dior's product lines, the shades are amazing, but the quality is terrible. Dior's discontinued Addict Ultra Shine was of far superior quality than this. Their reformulated eyeshadows do not have nearly as much staying power as the shadows I bought from them 3 years ago. Luckily I bought extra and kept them brand new in their boxes!! As for lipstick, I'll stick with Chanel.

Quick Take: long wearing, creamy, moisturizing
I purchased the deep fuschia and ara red colors, and was very impressed with the lipsticks. The deep fuschia was exactly what color I was expecting, but the ara red was a little more orange than I had wanted, but still a great color. The lipstick goes on very creamy, doesn't dry out my lips at all. The staying power is pretty good ... as long as you don't eat or drink too much throughout the day.

Quick Take: long wearing, creamy, moisturizing, nicely pigmented without staining
I love and try many lipsticks and this formula is by far my favorite. It isn't drying, feels nice on the lips, not overpowering taste or fragrance and is very nicely pigmented without staining my lips. I use either MUFE clear lip liners with these or the Guerlain Kiss Kiss lip primer and it lasts nicely for 2-3 hours then if I have talked alot or drank it does need touch ups. Luxurious and worth the expense. LOVE!

Quick Take: long wearing, bold
I have the Blazing Red and Rare Amber colors. They are great colors and stand out on their own. I also love to combine the two for a more unique lip color. Highly recommend.

Quick Take: creamy, nice shades
I have had a hard time finding the right shade of nude. I have fair/light/neutral skin, grey/blue eyes, and dark blonde hair. My lips are naturally on the pale side, so this shade actually does show up on me and it's so pretty. I don't look good in the brown/orange shades of nude but I don't like it to be too pink either. I just love shade #298 Beige Indecise. It's lovely, a touch on the pink side but not overly so. Creamy. Formula goes on very smoothly, feels nice. You do have to touch up every now and then, but it is not drying. I want #555 Dolce Vita Pink next for when I'm in a more colorful mood.

Rich color and texture

I recently purchased this lipstick in a shade that is much darker than my usual palette. It was the best purchase I have made in a long time. The color is stunning and can be worn as a rich pink for evenings or under gloss for a more natural daytime look. The highlight is the velvety feel and the fact that the color stays ALL day. I have purchased many 12 hour lipsticks and nothing compares to this. AMAZING. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE, IT IS WORTH IT'S WEIGHT IN GOLD

I purchased Ara red and I am in love with this shade. I am a Chanel fan but they didn't have this shade so I decided to try it out. It's the perfect shade for spring for all those red lipstick lovers, it's had a silky wear that I love specially to wear during day time.

Okay, best RED ever! I stumbled across Dior Rouge to find two amazing reds that I couldn't decide on. They were Ara Red #999 and Favori Red #753. I searched all over the Internet for reviews but all were too vague and didn't give me any help. So I went to the nearest Sephora and tried them on. Ara Red is a very orange-based red and very bright. I would recommend it to people looking for a flashy pop of color. BUT IT IS VERY ORANGE. Favori Red is THE perfect red. It looks magenta-ish when swatched onto the wrists but goes on your lips as the perfect red. It is true to its color. Oh, and no matter what color you get, this lipstick is long-lasting and moisterizing. It is moisterizing even without lip balm. Hope I helped :)

Quick Take: creamy, moisturizing
I purchased this in Mirza Mauve and it was PERFECT. Just plain beautiful--silky on the lips, just the the right amount of shimmer...lipstick perfection. It was the first time I'd spent more than $30 on a lipstick but I loved it...then I lost it when I lost my makeup bag and I was devastated. Someday I will definitely replace, because this one was great. Perhaps not a ton of staying power, but you won't mind reapplying this one every few hours, because it's so gorgeous.

I LOVE this lipstick! It's texture/fragrance are light, but it lasts and doesn't dry my lips.
I love reds, but most turn pink-ish on my lips. This Indian Red lipstick - rich, clear, not too bright, is the perfect shade for older women who love red.
It wears well, doesn't dry, and fades over hours to a shade that still resembles the original.

Quick Take: moisturizing
Dior is one of my favorite beauty and fragrance brands. I love the lipcolor, it does not dry out my lips and keeps them moisturized. This is a nice color; the only complaint I have is that I wish there was more red to this color instead of the major orange. Great quality, however.

Quick Take: moisturizing, great range of colors
I tried this lipstick after reading glowing reviews and articles of celebrities wearing "Beige Indecise" on the red carpet. Rouge Dior Lipcolor in Beige Indecise was listed in Harper's Bazar as one of "Best 12 Nude Lipsticks." I had to see the results of this nude color for myself. After trying nude colors I was left with only three nude shades and Rouge Dior Lipcolor in beige indecise was one of them; it is a pretty nude and it works well with olive skin tones. One thing I noticed right away was the moisturizing formula! However, it does not deliver the long lasting results I was hoping for. If you are looking for both, a nude color and long-lasting results this may not be the "it" formula for you. I expected more for the price and the "long-wearing formula" claims, but "beige indecise" is a flattering nude color and definitely worth a try - that is, if you are not too concern about it wearing off after a few sips of water.

A pure red

I have pale skin and have a hard time finding a lipstick that's a good, pure red. I find most "reds" to be too pink/fuchsia. Red 999 is a RED red---not pink, not orange. The only drawback is, like most matte colors, it's a little drying. (I put a clear balm over it.)
