Not only is the lightest shade the perfect tone match to my pale skin, but this is wonderfully hydrating for my dry skin, and so rich in pigment that it covers any redness in my t-zone. I generally have nice skin, but I have lots of redness around my nose and dark spots under my eyes that need correcting. This is also an excellent base for my corrector under my eyes.
This jar will last a super long time. I find it best to apply it with my fingers, and then blend any rough edges with my Signma flat kabuki brush. I set it with my Laura Mercier Universal Loose Powder, and it lasts all day most days, though I sometimes need to blot as I do have combination skin, and it's been humid here lately.

Quick Take: long wearing
This stuff is awesome. A little really goes a long way. I've had a sample of this for a little over 2 weeks and still have a ton left; I haven't even popped this baby open. Worth the money. Good for sensitive skin and great coverage that isn't cakey.

I love Laura Mercier products! This foundation is very creamy and has lots of pigmentation! It does not take alot to apply for full coverage. I gave this product 4 stars because the foundation I used for a medium skin tone had a yellow base and it washed me out. I will get another jar hoping to find a pink base.

My skin won't make up its mind! It's dry it oily it has acne and black heads its lazy fussy skin that always has given me heck! But this foundation is the best I've eve used! It goes on flawless and stays ALL DAY but the BEST part is it hides EVERY SINGLE flaw, and it doesn't cake on or hide in lines it's perfect and I recommend it to any one! Yes it's pricy but i would pay any price for flawless skin and it last a good while :) buy it!

I started using this after years of using Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer as I desired more coverage for my rosacea prone skin. I absolutely love the coverage and glow this provides, and it evens out my skin tone more than the tinted moisturizer. This foundation is probably not a good choice for those with normal to oily skin. I use a damp sponge to stipple it onto my skin and it blends really well; looks like I am wearing nothing!

My first review ever! But I felt compelled to share, knowing how surprised I was that this really works well. A little goes a long way and the color is much better on than in the jar. It covers the areas that I need covered and can be blended with my warm fingers. I am a non makeup person, and I love this product...still wish I didn't need it though.

I always have problems finding my right color because my skin used to have an olive color but after a situation it stretched and it very fair. The only thing that had left from my olive color are the undertones,which make my foundation shopping a little harder because if I get an ivory color,it makes me look like I'm dead,but if I get an olive color - it's too dark. I got my crème foundation too dark but I went to the Sephora store and I got it a shade lighter which is the perfect natch to my skin! The only problem is that I didn't pay attention that is for dry skin,and mine is the combination (oily and sensitive) type,so when I apply it on,it feels a little greasy

I bought this foundation after reading a lot of reviews. I have good skin, but I still wanted the perfect product to manage oiliness and to hide large pores on my house.
Overall, this is product is as good as others say because it looks smooth and natural but I should have done more research because indeed, it's more suited toward normal to dry skin types because it didn't do much for my oily t-zone.

I have extremely dry skin, to the point where no matter what I do or how good I prep my skin, my foundation cakes up and looks flakey like nobody's business. Even in the summertime I have insanely dry skin, and it always makes foundation a nightmare to apply. I steer clear from any foundation that contains the word "matte".
This foundation is incredible. It is so creamy and hydrating like a moisturizer, you would expect it to slide off and look awful within an hour of applying. This is not the case. I apply this with a damp beauty blender, (which is basically a necessity for us dry skinned gals) and for once i don't look like a cake face! and it looks good after a day of school and work.
Let me just warn you, when I first applied it I used to much, which is very easy to do because it is so thick and creamy, and it got somewhat cakey as any foundation would if you use too much. a little goes a long, long way with this one! It is pricey but will last you forever. I use this with just a tiny bit of powder and a setting spray because it can get a bit oily throughout the day. If you have oily skin this most likely will not work for you!
My only con with this is that the lighter shades tend to run dark, and sephora does not offer the lightest shade, porcelain ivory, so i got warm ivory (blush ivory looked way too pink) and its too dark for me but i just mix it with a bit of a lighter foundation and it looks better. Next time I will purchase the lightest shade through the Laura Mercier website. Please carry the lightest shade Sephora! There are very pale girls like me who would love to buy it!

I used to use make up forever foundation but a very nice girl that works for sephora talked me into trying this and im glad she did because i absolutely love it! Light weight, mouse like cream! Its so nice so easy to put on, blends in well. Definitely give it a try! Sephora has a great return policy if you wont like it but im sure once you try it youll never go back to your old foundation!!!

I have dry patches on my cheeks and nose, so I have been looking for a foundation that had coverage while moisturizing, and that wouldn't bother my sensitive skin. This is it! The palest shade is a perfect match for my skin tone. It evens out most of my redness and does not add any pink tones to my skin, so it really is perfect. While it is expensive, a little really does go a long way.
I prefer to apply this with my fingers, though sometimes if I would like additional coverage, I use a foundation brush and then blend with my fingers or a flat kabuki.
The downside: I have very combination skin. While I have issues with patches of dryness, and can't have something that is overly mattifying and dry, I also have oily skin in my t-zone. Really oily. When I'm not wearing foundation, you really can't tell that I have oil buildup through the day, but when I wear foundation, any foundation, even after setting it with powder I need to blot in the middle of the day and reapply some foundation and blush. It is no different with this foundation. But I love the finish and the colour, so I will continue to keep blotting papers and a small pot of foundation with me to touch-up.

I initially thought this foundation was impossible because it would always slide off no matter what kind of brush, sponge I used. I didn't use it for a long time and gave it another try few month ago. Best way to apply is moisturize, wait till everything is absorbed then dot tiny amounts all over the face than work it with your finger. After evenly applying the foundation pat it onto your skin gently, set with powder.
Coverage is the best I have ever seen and it lasts all day, even with my combination skin.
One other tip on choosing color, colors are more for yellow undertone and runs kind of dark. I use chanel matte 40 and sunny beige was right color for me.

My skin is dry but I think this formula is best for very dry skin. It didn't hold on my face at all and if I even touched my face it came off. When I applied it initially though, my skin looked amazingly smooth and healthy. I ended up just getting the regular moisturizing liquid foundation and while it doesn't give the great looking finish that this one did, it looks good and stays on. Also, these foundations aren't overly yellow based like so many others that can end up looking strange on pale skin.

Quick Take: hydrating
Love this foundation. I first tried it last year and did not like it because of my overly dry skin. I have been using Josie Maran's Argan oil and it has made such a change in my skin that I tried LM again. I moisturize w/ FAB, then apply 2 drops of JM argan oil to my face and apply my LM creme smooth in warm ivory with the egg shaped LM sponge. I finish it off w/ LM mineral finishing powder and apply that with LM fan brush. The results are truly flawless. I have tried so many foundations in the past year and this one is the winner. It stays on and does not settle in my lines. It is hydrating and provides natural looking medium coverage. It does not have parabens and that's the reason I am keeping it!
