Honey beige 040 is way too orangey on my skin tone. The formula slides off my skin after a couple hours even with a primer under the foundation. Returned this product.

Just What I Needed and it's Portable

Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing, oil-free, feels so lightweight, makes concealers unnecessary, stays the same for hours (doesn't shine or clump), doesn't really need touch-ups, brightens face cuz of the "dewiness", recommend for middle-age skin or over 35, portable as opposed to liquid
I've been using Dior Skin Forever Liquid foundation #033, after reading another VIB's question about her aging skin, BE/BM not looking as good anymore - this was EXACTLY my problem. My skin is older now and needs a creamier, dewier make-up ...BE/BM veils/foundations were beginning to make my skin look dry, hence showing (accentuating) fine lines. Then I read about DIor Creme Gel- even though I LOVE the DS Forever liquid, I decided to see how this could possibly feel/look better. With both Dior Skin's I no longer need concealers - AND I use LESS make-up. It's amazingly lightweight - feels so like I have no make up ont. This gel turns into a nice air-brushed powder look, has great coverage, too. I did put BM veil on as a finishing powder at first but these Dior Skin foundations don't require it. I spritz some All Nighter on - which would let my face shine in a few hours (when I was using all powders) , my face looks as freshly made up at 4pm as it did at 7am. using this Creme Gel. I couldn't believe it, and stil expect to see some shine through or think I may need a touch up but - I haven't I read that I should buy a shade lighter in this Creme Gel- which was good advice. In this one I use #020 Light Beige but it looks the same as the liquid #033. As I still have some Liquid left, I put it on, but use less everyday as I transition to the Creme Gel. I haven't tried the special sponge, because I have such great results using a stippling brush. I put either one on the same way, i do a circular brushing on first then take the flat top of the stippling brush to pat on the dark spots I used to use concealers for. I finish he rest of my face then when the Gel has been on a few minutes I repeat the patting on part over dark areas. When I'm done and right before i give my face a spritz of All nighter- I use a big round brush to do a circular buff out all over - I guess it sets it while also removing any excess. I'm still at the stage where I have to stare at myself for a second because I can't believe my skin looks so soft and smooth with no darkness showing through - yet this feels like I am wearing NOTHING. The dewier effect this Creme offers, brightens my face. If you are over 35 or getting that look from your powders -- you really have to try this. The compact Gel doesn't look like it will last as long as the bottle of Forever - but I'm really amazed at the effect I get using this. I still have to see how the sponge looks - I may faint if it looks better than when I apply it with brush.Since reading tips in VIB and discussions - I've learned good brushes and knowing how to use them are the KEY. Love this Dior Skin in both this gel creme and the liquid (if you buy it don't forget to go a shade lighter with the compact).

Quick Take: buildable coverage
I walked into Sephora looking for something with wow-factor (it's just how I shop sometimes). I glided my finger across the tester sample of this product and it was instant wow. Loved the creamy feel of it as I blend it on the back of my wrist and without further thought brought it home.
This product is true to the "skin-nude" portion of its name. It is lightweight! Dabbing it with the stock sponge makes the application super-sheer. For me, it's not a deal breaker but it was a bit disappointing. It's meant to be "buildable coverage" a.k.a. use more of the product! In my opinion the product is already on the skimpy side but it's not worth skimping on your application if you, like me, like a dewy look which you can absolutely have with this foundation!
It has it's pro's and con's but if this is going to last only 3 months because I achieved the desired look than it's worth it. Somehow you have to know buying a Dior product is a splurge so, you don't do yourself any favors if you wear it any other way but lavishly and luxuriously. Worth that feeling alone!

Worth the money

This is my favorite foundation. I am already using my third one. I prefer to use this one in the winter because this foundation is a little on the matte side. However, this runs out really quickly. I like to use a brush with this instead of the sponge included.

This makeup does everything the description says it does! I use it whenever I want to look simply glowing. Or simply fabulous. The only reason I didn't give it 5-star is because sometimes it makes me pretty oily (I have oily skin). So I have to go to the powder room to check up on it every so often.

I've been using this Dior product for about 6 months now. I use it as an alternative to my everyday Bare Minerals powder. I wanted a compact form, foundation , non-powder that I could take with me. Its my choice in the mornings when I need to put on makeup fast. Pretty good coverage, looks a little cakey if your not careful and use the sponge applicator correctly and blend. the coverage is medium. The application goes on smooth that is my faveorite part. The packaging is also very, very nice. one of the best compacts i've ever owned. Not long wearing in my opinon. Buildable coverage.

This is a really fantastic product. I'm in my mid thirties, and have a bit of redness and some dark spots. The foundation gives a flawless finish, covers my spots & feels very light. I agree with the others who've said that its not full coverage. I prefer a natural look, so the coverage is just right.
It took me a few tries to get the application down. I've had the best luck applying it with my fingers and then blending with the sponge.
The price is high, but definitely worth it for something I use everyday. Not to mention that the packaging is beautiful!

I previously used Smashbox similar type of makeup until it was discontinued. This has replaced it and i like it especially in the summer. The makeup is light but provides good coverage.

This foundation is amazing! I highly recommend it! I've been a huge fan of the DiorSkin Nude line for a while now, I've used the concealer faithfully and I've also tried the airbrush foundation which is wonderful but wonderfully messy as well.
This foundation gives my skin a velvetty finish and looks and feels so natural. I also love how travel friendly the chic compact is. I've been using liquid foundation and absolutely hate traveling with it. I can throw this in my bag for any touchups without any issue at all. It covers all pores and my skin looks so fresh and amazing. If you're hesitating to buy this, don't. Go for it, it's worth every penny.

I'm very happy with this product! It offers a healthy glow with a natural finish feeling, I don't feel like I have anything on, and my face doesn't feel tight or itchy, as with other makeup. The packaging is definitely a seller, it's gorgeous! The coverage is buildable, but only up to a medium coverage, which is where the "natural effect" comes in. It lasts all day! I recently started to use Smashbox's Primer Light underneath it, and it's wonderful!

I was looking for a wax based foundation after hearing a pro makeup artist suggest it. These types of foundations are excellent for someone with dry skin, because the base just melts into your skin without drawing any attention to dry flakey bits on the face. The compact itself is quite nice, with a good sized mirror included. This is actually one of my favorite foundations on the market right now.

Not as good as I'd hoped

I love dior but I can't give this product 5 stars because for me it doesn't last all day (I work 12hr shifts) and I feel like I have to put a lot on to get the coverage I want therefore making it feel a little cakey at first. Once the makeup settles it does feel soft and smooth and looks nice.

Yikes...looked like a corpse for the first hour...then make-up completly disappereared on me. Need full coverage and long wear...this product did not deliver for me. But was allowed to return without any problems and got something that worked!!!
