Makes a Perfect Matte for Putting on Make-up

Quick Take: easy to put on, velvety to touch, holds foundation and blush in place for hours, gets rid of redness and pores, mixes well with concealers on small flaws, i even put a little on my lips, after lips i put a little josie maran lip ointmen
Ah, this product is so soft and smoothe!! It covers all the inperfections of my face and makes the pores smaller, like they're not there. I use Laura Mercier or SmashBox BB over this product, and the foundation just floats on. I also use it on my neck and declotage area, too and also put the foundations there, as well. No reddness gets through. It's the best blocker there is. My face looks flawless, and that's a lot to say for a 52 year old face, LOL!! It also holds the foundation and even blush on in place for at least 12 hours. Not much is needed. You just use the sponge they give you and apply a light coat, and that's it!!

Ok I just didn't get it. I didn't think it did anything for my skin. Tried it over and over and ended up bringing it back. Maybe it works for some but not for me. So lightweight I just didn't feel like it did a thing.

I was hesitant to get this, it's pretty pricey. But I've used it quite a few times, and I like it. It takes away some of that powdery look and makes it feel nice and smooth. My daughter absolutely loves this product. She uses mineral foundation and has a tendency to look cakey and too powdery, so she loves using this over her foundation. I might give her this, and buy one for myself!

I bought this product with high expectations since I love Dior beauty products. I was disappointed. When worn alone this product creates a white film over skin and DOES NOT look flattering. So, I was hoping that wearing it under makeup may be where the true excellence of the product shined. No such luck. My skin looks no different with this under my makeup than without. I will not purchase again.

I have VERY oily skin. This helps keep me matte all day. I will NEVER again go without it. Ever.
Also, I have very sensitive skin, and it does not make me break out.

I tried this primer out on a whim on my hand, and fell in love with it!! I don't know what is in it, but of all the makeup primers I've used, this one is by far the absolute BEST!! With this primer I only have to use a fraction of the normal amount of foundation that I normally use, and despite having oily eyelids, my eye makeup stays put and lasts all day! I recommend this as a must-have for anyone that uses makeup!!!

Quick Take: softens lines, hides pores
This is by far the best product I've seen in a long time. Great for filling in fine lines, shrinking pores, and eliminating the need for makeup powder/compact. I like to use my fingerpads and just tap it over my t-zone, rather than use the sponge. Instant gratification!

I bought this on a whim the day before my brother's wedding. My skin is oily and my make up seems to slide off about 1/2 way though the day. I was looking for something that would ensure that my make up didn't move on this special day. This product did just that! I applied it under my foundation (Make Up Forever), and then dabbed it onto as well. I then applied my setting powder. I didn't have to touch up my make up once the entire day!

Quick Take: lightweight
I am a recent convert to Dior and use this with the cream to powder gel makeup. Together they are perfect. As with the makeup you can't even feel it when it's on and you touch your face and it helps the already smooth application of the gel makeup even more smooth if that's possible (which it is). While this and the gel makeup are somewhat expensive, who cares. If it feels so light on the skin it must be better for your skin than heavier makeups. I love Dior!

Wow, A dior product is never something I thought I would buy... I love make-up but I try to be as frugal as I can. Although I look for quality. I have a very oily nose and this product reduces shine without even looking like I'm wearing make up. It feels incredibly lightweight and smooth.. I am in love! This product is more on the pricey side, but It is well worth the money!

So this is my first ever review...I had been reading all the reviews on this product and was getting worried about my recent purchase. I bought it this weekend and have yet to really wear it except for the day when I picked it up but I like many other who walk into Sephora have to test everything they have...so I had many other product on with it...anyhow I was thinking I should return it after all $40 bucks is $40 bucks...BUT thin I decided to wash my face and try it on bare and this is where the WoW comes in....I first applied it to only half my face and I can not explain how great my skin looked! My pores which are small around the chin and jaw line but gradually enlarge growing bigger around the the nose and under eye area but on the side that I applied it to it was just amazingly smooth an evenly matted with no shiny spots. I quickly applied all over and no oily shine and I swear it even makes my nose look smaller..lol

Quick Take: lightweight, mattifying, smoothing
First let me tell you about my skin. It's acne-prone, very oily, has large pores, and sensitive to certain ingredients (one being mineral oil). Normally, I'm very wary of silicone-based primers, since they feel very heavy on my skin. However, I really am pleasantly surprised by this product. It feels light on my skin and I use it in place of my setting powder because it won't show or exaggerate dry, flaky skin, or add weight like powder can. Now it won't erase the appearance of pores, but it minimizes them by making the skin matte (but don't expect any miracles). My foundation looks much better than without this primer. I've been using this for about 3 days and I have had no break-outs. As for longevity, my skin started to get pretty shiny after 3 hours, which is not unexpected. This stuff will only work on the surface of the skin and won't have any effect on the glands that produce the oil in pores. I haven't had any experience with this "balling up", but I tend to use as little product as possible to make it last. I have a feeling that the balling is due to using too much product.
The packaging is sturdy and the sponge applicator has two sides (one side to apply and the other to smooth). It also comes with a mirror, which makes this great for travel.
In short: if you've got the money and want something to replace powder for oil control, then I'd recommend it.

This would be a great product except for the method of application. Perhaps better instructions would suffice. Anyways, what I noticed is that even when I applied it sparingly, it would ball up. I ended up returning it.

Was not blown away, but then again, I think I may start using it again once my microdermabrasion treatments are complete and my skin has evened out on it's own a little better. I just think that my skin is too hyper-pigmented for this to work the way it would on most "normal" skin. I'm sure it's fine for people who just want to even out a bit and don't have a bunch of old scarring~ the texture is nice though, and it didn't clog my pores or make my sensitive skin break out at all. Decent, but underwhelming for this particual girl.

Couldn't apply it properly

I really need a product like this, especially for the forehead and nose for the matte quality but I could not apply it without it balling up! Since it is clear, you cannot tell how much you have applied and even when I applied it very sparingly, it balled up, especially after adding Laura Mercier setting powder.

I use this on top of my makeup throughout the day. At age 36, I have no wrinkles, but I have tons of fine lines on my forehead. This blurs them like no other primer does, and I love that I can apply it anytime and on top of any foundation, including mineral makeup. Feels very lightweight and doesn't disturb my look -- just makes me look like my forehead has been airbrushed.
