I actually threw this primer out because I could not take the scent. As a primer, the product worked okay,it was nothing to get excited about. To me it seemed a bit greasy when you apply it. The scent is very unpleasant. If you are sensitive to smells I would not recommend this primer. I'm a fan of theBalm's products but this was a let down for me.

I usually stay away from silicone primers since almost every one I've tried felt gross after an hour & broke me out after a day. This went on nice and light and didn't feel like it sat on my skin. The finish is an airbrushed matte and it doesn't break me out. My makeup goes on smoothly and lasts longer on my combo skin than without it. I don't find any primer to be a miracle worker in regards to making makeup stay put but I do like the fact that they give a smooth and even base to apply them on. This gets the job done without making me feel like I'm wearing a silicone mask . It also helps keep me from getting oily which is probably due to the Vitamin A but I know that products with retinol can have the opposite effect on some so be aware. It was part of the reason I gave this a try but may not be for everyone.

Quick Take: smelly
This primer doesn't seem to do anything to help my makeup stay on. It dries really quickly which I like, but the smell is very, very unpleasant. I will use it up because of the cost but I won't repurchase.

i have gone thru a lot of primers that just didn't impress me until this one. it seems to help my make up stay, wear better and go on smoother. it also gives me a muted matte look without looking cakey and dry.

This is just an ok primer. It made my skin feel velvety for short period of time but it's silicone based so I wouldn't recommend it for those with sensitive skin.

I bought this on a whim at the store. After trying it, I have to say that I do not care for it. My skin was oily within two hours of usage. Did not notice anything else. I returned it.

I went to a make up and got the opportunity to try out a lot of new products. What was even better was that I got to see the reactions of others when they tried their friends' favorite. One of the products I tried was TheBalm's Time Balm Face Primer. I don't wear foundation, but I have found that primers seems to give my skin a nice smooth appearance, so occasionally I'll use one although I do prefer a moisturizer with some sun protection. However, everyone seems to really like Time Balm Face Primer, so I wanted to give it a try. Perhaps it made my skin look smoother, but it wasn't anything I could really see. Maybe it would have worked better if I put some foundation over it. I did try it with blush, and for whatever it's worth, the blush did appear to apply slightly better than it would have, if alone. The thing is, the woman next to me tried it on one side of her face, and she tried another primer on the other side. Then she used foundation. In her case, the difference was noticeable. The side with the Time Balm Face Primer definitely did look smoother, almost air-brushed so I'm convinced. While it's not for me, it clearly works well under foundation, which is exactly what it's made for.

Has a very nice application and dries to a nice finish. My only wish for this product is that is contained some SPF since they say you can "wear it alone"

Tried this to see if it would help my makeup survive more than a couple hours with my oily skin. If it added any life to my foundation it could only measured in minutes because as far as I could tell, nothing had changed. It felt nice going on, used it under sun screen and bare minerals foundation. Didn't make things worse, but didn't make them better either.

The texture of this is so nice and I really wanted to love it, but I wanted something to help with oil and pores for the summer in NY and this isn't it. It made for just another layer to melt off. No me gusta. It might be better for winter, but I'm returning it for now.....

This is the first face primer I have used - i figured I would try it and this one seemed to be a good deal. I am so glad I bought it!! This goes on smooth, its non irritating, non greasy and keeps your makeup in place! The first day I used it, my husband said I looked like an airbrushed picture (he didn't know I tried something new to my makeup routine). I love this product and will continue to use it and I would also highly recommend it!

Previously I used the smashbox primer, but couldn't get to the bottom of the bottle because of the pump set up! ARGH! This is in a package that you can literally get out every last drop, and has the same amounts as MakeUpForever and Smashbox, and works beautifully at smoothing out the skin before makeup is applied. AND it is CHEAPER!

I have been using face primers since sephora started to sell them and I could never find one that would work for my skin. I have really bad rosecea on my cheeks and chin and even with the green tinged primers i would have to use tons of concealer or another primer to cover the green or red that comes through. But just a little bit of the time balm and a bit of concealer and I get a pefectly even skin tone with foundation. NO REDNESS at all!!!!! I wish they made it in a gallon size. I am looking forward to trying the rest of their products!!!
