Far from perfect but...

I bought this when I bought the St. Tropez Mousse and I have also used it with other self tanners I own. I'm torn on how I feel about it. I've always used latex gloves before this with decent results. I do love how the material this mitt is made out of really blends the mousse/lotion well, which makes applying easy. But I use more product with it and I just can't understand the design. It really isn't a mitt, at least not the way it comes. I ripped the seam at the bottom so I could put my hand in. It's just very clumsy to use and you have to be very careful with the seams on the side because they will streak your application. If someone would make a glove out of this same material that has no seams that would be perfect, but as far as I can tell that doesn't exist so I'm stuck using this for now.

Quick Take: long lasting, easiest application ever
If you apply self-tanning products to your body - GET THIS!!!! You will get the most even application you've ever had and there will be no transfer or staining to your hands - yay! I have one that I have used and rinsed for an entire year and it is still going strong (stained, but perfectly intact)

Self tanners without this mit is a huge No-No!
Apply any self tanner into this easy to use mit and apply product to body. Simple as that!
Disposable and for only $6.... Get a fresh mit for every new bottle of self tanner.

A Must Have for St. Tropez Tanning Lotion

Quick Take: a life saver
Since this mitt was shown with the mousse I didn't know if it was needed or would work with the lotion. So I tried applying the lotion with my hands. Once. What a disaster. So I ordered this mitt and have been using it since. I don't know how long it will last but so far it has been great.

why they call this a "mitt" is beyond me. it does NOT slip onto your hand. i would say it's more of a big flat sponge. holding it is awkward and your hands are definitely not protected from the dark brown product.

Quick Take: long lasting, washs well, no messy hands !!!
I love this, never used one before, I wish I had found this years ago !!! It works so well. I throw it in the wash after each use; let it dry naturally, ready to go again, works very, very well with Bare Minerals self tanner.

I am an avid user of the St. Tropez tanning mousse and lotion and this mitt is the best purchase ever! At first I applied by hand and it definitely stains, even after you wash right away. This mitt is a life saver and applies the product super smooth and evenly. Great price too!

I bought the mitt upon recommendation from the staff at sephora. I at 1st thought i could do w/out, but know now that it really does make a difference. I'm new to self tanning and did do my legs w/out the mitt once and found it was much better with!

Overpriced, but it works

I was applying the St. Tropez with my hands before I got this and my hands would stain pretty fast. I would scrub immediately after application but there was still a tint of color that remained for a day or so on my palms. I got this mitt shortly after because it was recommended by a friend. Really easy to use and clean. .Application is a breeze, this helps blend the mousse so you don't look blotchy. I think it is a little overpriced (low quality) but if you don't mind spending the $6, go for it.

i thought this was an actual mitt, that you can put your hand in. Not so. You hold it, which made it quite awkward for me. Not sure I would use it again, but I got it on sale, so I'm not too bummed. And I like that you can wash it!

This is a definite 'must have' for any sort of self tanner I am applying - mousse, cream, etc. It helps keep it even and to avoid getting it on your hands. So worth it!

Quick Take: works great
I bought this mitt to use with te St. tropes self tanning mouse. It works great!! It keeps my hands from getting stained. It also allows for even smooth coverage of the tanning mouse. I won't use self tanning products without this mitt ever again!

The mitt is nice for applying the tanner as it keeps your hands free from accidents but I find it hard to keep on. Also, I'd like it much better if both sides of the mitt were made out of the same material. Because it is hard to keep on (sliding off whilst applying) the mitt has turned 'upside down' on me and the side not intended for applying the tanner ended up on the tops of my hands, staining them. In my personal opinion, if the mitt had minor adjustments as stated above, I'd believe it'd be an excellent product.

This mitt makes it seem nearly impossible to screw up the St. Tropez mousse - I really can't tell if the mitt or the mousse is the miracle product here. I wouldn't dare try using it without the mitt because my results have always been amazing when I'm using both.
My only disappointment is that this ripped unexpectedly, making it impossible to use. Buy a backup because you really can't tell when it's about to happen. Now I keep two under my sink just in case.
