AWESOME!

I love this stuff! If you use it right after you use the St. Tropez spray where you suspect there's going to be buildup later (fingernails, toenals, wrists, in between your fingers), when the spray sets in, you don't have the buildup later that you normally have. The amount the size of a dime goes a long way. Well worth the money and mess later.

Smells bad, works well
-05.07.13
Quick Take: smelly, great skin stain fighter
I purchased this after I had an unfortunate experience with some self tanner. Sadly, orange hands are not in style. Works very well for that purpose. I warn you, do not open the cap and take a big whiff, you will singe the inside of your nose. Yikes! I did have another unfortunate hand staining event (kids, always use gloves when you dye your hair, even if the color is semi-permanent). I discovered that if you rub the product in your hands, with a little water, then let it sit a minute or so, it greatly helps the products stain fighting abilities. I'm glad I got it. Not so glad that I'm very much stain prone!

No better than soap and water.
-04.13.13
I hate using a mitt when I apply self tanner. I had been washing my hands immediately after applying tanner with soap and water. But, my hands were still slightly orange. So, I bought this, thinking it would do a better job of getting rid of that orange than soap and water. Well, I am disappointed. I basically get the same results from this as I do from soap and water. I gave it three stars because it works somewhat, but I could save myself a lot of $$ and just wash my hands as usual. The only nice thing about this product is that it is grainy, so it leaves my palms soft, but that's not the reason I bought it.

Love love love this stuff!

Best think ever for self-tanner addicts like me. Even if you wash your hands with soap right after appying your tanner, you'll still have an orange tint on your palms (so tacky). Until now - this removes every last bit of unwanted self tanner! I've only used it right after applying the tanner, so I don't know how long you can wait to use it and still have it work. Smells good, works awesome, and super cheap! This is my 3rd bottle and I'll never use anything else. A must!

If youre in a bind it'll do
-09.02.12
This product does work somewhat well, however I think it works best the sooner you use it. I used several things to remove this awful stain I had on my wrist from doing a mystic tan and literally nothing work at all. It made it a good bit lighter.

Quick Take: nice for basic washing, will leave hands soft, does not take self tan off
I really thought, finally an answer to getting the old self tanner off, and this will help with the after applied tanned palms, but NO! There was nothing special about this product, it has a grainy texture like a facial scrub, which is nice, it does leave your skin soft, but as for having an ingredient to take off or keep the skin from staining, it didn't help. Nice try, but a no go.

Must have for any self tanner
-07.02.12
Quick Take: effective, easy to use, smells great, a must have
Seriously I don't know how I ever did it without this stuff. (With lots of swearing would be my guess haha)
This stuff is fantastic. I use it mostly to get all the residue off of my hands as I don't like using gloves for application.
Bonus: Smells great!

Eh...
-07.02.12
This is ok- its hard to use after you seen the tan appear. It says to use within 4 hours of application but I usually put on self tanner before bed so when I wake up is when I know what streaks I may have. I think any exfoliater would do. I do not think it is worth it unless your tan appears instantly for you to see what you need to adjust- even then Im not sure it works?

After reading the other reviews, I got this to complement the Tanning Mousse. It does exactly as described -- cleans the tan off my hands after applying. This bottle will last a long time as a little goes a long way!

Nice scrubby stuff
-02.29.12
Quick Take: pleasant smelling, effective, has a nice scrub quality
This smells nice, has nifty scrubbing beads in it, and cleans up your hands. It also can be put on a cloth to clean off "goofs" if need be. I like it but will probably need it less now that I have been using the mitt for the St. Tropez tanner. The St. Tropez tan stuff does tint fingernails and cuticles more than others I've used, so this product is very good to have.

This definitely helped but it didn't work miracles like I was hoping. To be fair, I tried using this a couple days after my spray tan.

Helps remove self-tanner even after it's been a few days. Great for removing patches of unwanted color or for when the color starts to fade.

Fantastic!

Now I don't ever have to worry about a weird looking tan. This is my magic. But, I have only had to use it on my hands to remove tan cream after application because the cream is so great I never have streaks. This takes the stain off my hands immediately and with only a little product. It should last a long time. LOVE IT!

Easy and Effective

St. Tropez Tan Remover works not only with the St. Tropez line but all self tanners. It really does eliminate or at the very least, lessen any mistakes to a great degree. I would definitely recommend this product!

Does just what it's supposed to do!
-06.07.11
I imagine there are some cheaper options out there, but this does exactly what it says: washes the tanner off of your hands after applying. It's a lot easier than gloves, and scrubbing with regular soap does not even begin to compare. A must-have for a good tanning routine.

useless
-06.05.11
not only does this product have a vile smell - like a subway station rest room - but it's pretty useless as it only removes self tanner mistakes up to four hours. What good is that if your color takes longer than that to develop or if you put it on before bed and wake up with problems? In addition to the awful smell it has a touch of graininess to it. Not enought to actually exfoliate a tan away. You would be a lot better off with a little acetone and a regular exfoliator to get rid of unwanted tanner.
