Better than the BB

I know that this product is more expensive than most BB creams, and doesn't give you more coverage like a BB cream, but I love it way more than that!! This is the only tinted moisturizer I use because it is the best and while it is a pretty big expense, I cannot use anything else on my face.
This product is great for sensitive skin, and all skin types. Whether you're oily, dry, or normal. Or a combination thereof. I have never gone wrong with this philosophy product and I love it bunches!!

I am addicted. Gives me skin a fresh dewy look and is so light. I get complements on my skin everyday. I wish that it was cheaper but I am willing to pay the price. Also, sephora.com never has my color in stock which is quite frustrating.

Not nearly as good as their other products

This may be fine for oily skin types but not my dry skin. I either have to layer it over other moisturizer which defeats why I purchased it or end up dry and flaky. The light color is also darker than I would like. I am not extremely pale yet this light is still a couple shades too dark.

I got this because for years I loved the Supernatural powder foundation by Philosophy (pity that Sephora discontinued). Depending on the season, I usually use powder or tinted moisturizer. I like the sheer coverage of this, and it does even out my skin tone with just one light layer. My one problem with it is that it tends to either streak or - when blended more - "pill" and look flaky. I find I have to apply with a sponge or brush and then carefully pat with fingers to blend. Once it's on, though, it looks nice. I might need better applicators.

I'd been wanting to try tinted moisturizer for a while and love the philosophy line. Since I received this product it has taken the place of my regular powder foundation. It's quick and easy to use and gives just enough color and coverage (especially when layered). I find it is best applied over your regular moisturizer rather than by itself.

This tinted moisturizer is great! I have tried others but all have broken me out. The coverage is sheer, this won't cover any major imperfections but it's good for those who want to even out a bit. Just a warning, the shades are darker than on the website; I'm a medium in most foundations and the "light" shade fits me perfectly as it is a bit warm. It's best to try in the store.

I recently bough take a breath and fell in love!!! I was looking for a tinted moisturizer/bb cream and decided to try this product. If feels great going on and drys nicely its a bit sheer for my taste. My biggest problem is I bought light which is their lightest shade and It wants even close to a shade that I could wear I am ivory and pink toned. This product has an orange/yellow tint that made me look like i was going into kidney failure. Love this brand just not this product.

I use a lot of Philosophy products and this is the first one I've tried that I didn't absolutely love. I tried the lightest color and it wasn't a great match - it is a bit orange for my skin tone. It does feel lightweight and gives a very light coverage that I like. I might like it better if it came in more shades and I could find one that is a better match for me.

This moisturizer is AMAZING! Not only does it moisturize really well, it allows me to go foundation-free all the time. I use the "light," and it matches my skin perfectly. When I first got it, I thought I would use it only in the summer as I usually get very dry in the winter. Not the case though--it is enough moisture for me. I love, love, love this product!!! Please don't ever stop making it.

I tried this on and left store with bottle in hand. I looked in a different lighting and another mirror. Whoa aaa my face looked like a pumpkin very orange. While wearing this foundation I kept smelling something. It was my face! This stuff stinks. If your planning on dating or have anyone kiss you don't buy this.

After being a slave to liquid foundation, concealer, & setting powder for years, I wanted to try a tinted moisturizer to give my skin a break. I'm not prone to breakouts but my skin is really uneven because I have a lot of redness. I picked up this moisturizer & it's amazing! I use it in the morning after I wash my face and follow with a little concealer if I have any blemishes or to cover my under eye circles, and then my powder. It leaves me with the dewy look that I love while looking natural, not all covered up. I definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a tinted moisturizer or an alternative to heavy foundation! If the coverage isn't enough, just add powder to give you some more coverage. Leaves my skin super soft & two pumps is more than enough to cover my whole face & neck! Love!!!

Nice texture and coverage but aggravated skin

I was using this product alone for the beach and weekends, and as a sort of primer if my skin wasn't great and my bare minerals needed some oomph. I liked that the light color was great for my fair skin, the texture (it's not silicone based like most primers), and the coverage level was subtle but buildable. I also like that it has SPF (especially for beach days). But after a few weeks of use, I noticed that my skin was breaking out, and when I stopped using it, it cleared. I have pretty sensitive skin, but use the Philosophy "Resurface" microdermabrasion kit with excellent results... so make sure you try this for a bit before deciding. It's really nice if it doesn't cause you to break out! Oh, and it's unscented, which is great.

This is a very lightweight tinted moisturizer. The color blends in perfectly and is a great base for a mineral powder. I have tried other BB creams that left my skin oily or orange. The best part is that this also has suncreen!

I have oily skin, and moisturizer is usually the last thing I want in the daytime. The need for sunscreen and antioxidants has made makeup wearing really, really tricky for me. For years, I relied on powder foundation alone, without primers or sunscreens, and I used them mainly for oil-blotting. Therefore, it's not surprising that I have melasma that is triggered by sunlight like wildfire. The wish for an even-toned, brightening base for color makeup (or not) proved to be a quest along the lines of The Impossible Dream. I have been using sheer liquid foundations for a couple of years, but used in combination with sunscreen, they never looked as good as they could. Plus, their lack of an added layer of sun protection kept me looking for an alternative to too many layers of goo. BB Creams are a great idea, but I've yet to find one that provides flattering, natural-looking color for my olive/easily tanned skin. (Most of the ones I tried made me look gray and ill). I decided to try Hope In A Tinted Moisturizer, in Medium-Tan, to see if it could be a sort of BB Cream (complexion enhancer plus skin care) for me. I assumed it might look greasy, and when I began wearing it, I always used The Present under it or over it. It turns out, I can use it easily on its own, and it provides a natural, non-greasy finish. During an oven-hot Arizona summer, a little moisture won't hurt my skin a bit. This seems to have a slight orange tone as I rub it over my skin, but after it's smoothed out and set, you can't tell there's anything on my face. The peachy undertones correct discoloration, and the overall look is line-free, radiant skin. Sometimes I use an additional layer of product over my pores, for a bit more coverage, but 98% of the time, I can quickly spread this over my face and I'm good to go. If I know I'm going to be outside on a given day for a length of time longer than walking to my car in a parking lot, I use this over Hope in a Jar Oil-Free SPF 30, or Here Comes The Sun SPF 40, and it remains non-greasy and it doesn't change color. For me, Hope In A Tinted Moisturizer is like sheer foundation plus daytime skin treatment, all in one. Great product, great price!

This product is GREAT! I use it every day!!! I used to use Hope in a Jar until I found this. It's that plus a nice light tint that helps even out skin tone and I even use less foundation because of this.
