I love oil cleansers because I have very dry skin. Its my first time using the Laura Mercier cleanser and I was impressed! It's awesome, removes make up, foams up nice and leaves my skin dewy!! I am in love, especially with the price, its a phenomenal product and at a very reasonable price.

I had a bad reaction to another product (won't name it here) and my skin was literally cracking up and falling off. Ugly. Bad ugly. I needed to go to something gentle in a hurry and tried this because I like a lot of other Laura Mercier products. After just a few days, my cracked skin is almost healed - a miracle in itself for me because I heal really slowly. It takes off all my make-up completely (geez, didn't realize I wore that much until I used this stuff!). Even better is that this is the only "cleanser" I've ever used that doesn't make my face feel dry and tight when I use it. You may want your face to feel that way when you cleanse, but at my age, it's like feeling new wrinkles form. Great product. Mid-range price but a really big bottle so it should last a while, even with twice per day use.

I read the reviews and couldn't believe that an oil would clean your skin. My skin is more comination oily/normal. This product didn't leave my skin oily at all. In fact, through out the day, I didn't feel as if my skin was oily especially in the Tzone. Used as directed, my skin feels wonderfully soft and supple. I don't normally spend this much on face products but, I am so glad I did. I was very pleasantly surprised of the way it worked and made my skin feel!

Quick Take: good for sensitive skin
I like it, but I'm not sure if it's worth $40. It also gets kind of messy around the sink area. The bottle cap also broke during travel, yikes, but not much seemed to leak from the bottle thankfully. I do like that it's gentle enough to use around your eyes and on your eyelids.
I won't purchase again -- maybe I would if it were 10 dollars cheaper..

I love Laura Mercier's products; the cleansing products are good for my skin and the makeup is gorgeous. Best of all, the prices are reasonable for the quality of the products. I began using this oil about three or four months ago. Like many I have skin that tends to break out and often have blackheads. People (including me) express the fear that if you put oil on your face it will make it break out. Not true...Not only does this gently and yet quickly and thoroughly melt off all my makeup, including heavy duty mascara, it lifts the blackheads right out of my skin. I was using Nutragena Deep Clean on my skin for years, but it didn't even come close to doing for me what this product has done. My skin is soft and smooth after rinsing without a trace of oil. I use an acne astringent to further clean my pores (love Clinique acne astringent in particular) and then put on Fresh Seaberry face oil. My skin has never looked better. Bye Bye blackheads. I won't miss you.

Quick Take: exfoliating, milky, smooth, effective
I have finally tried this cleansing oil & I love it. It is among my preferred cleansing oils now. The consistency is great (not too thick, not too thin), and glides well across the skin. It removes all makeup, including waterproof mascara, without a lot of rubbing. It leaves my skin feeling smooth, not greasy, not dry, and clean.
The packaging is amazing. Yes, it's lightweight plastic, not super heavy/luxurious feeling, but that also makes it lovely for travel. It may be the best packaging I've ever experienced for a cleansing oil, mostly based on its ability to travel (without leaking). The pump is smooth, wotrks well & does not leak. I very much like that it also comes with a cap. I think this would keep any future leaks at bay & it also helps keep water from the shower from running into the bottle.
I highly recommend.

This cleansing oil removes all even my waterproof mascara. Only needed a couple to a few pumps, massaged onto my face & washed it off with warm water and noticed it really took everything off because I didn't get any residue when I swiped with a facial wipe.

This cleanser is so amazing. Very gentle, yet effective in cleansing and balancing the skin. Sometimes when we have break outs we tend to take harsh action on our skin which causes further imbalance causing more acne. Using this along with Clarisonic (only every few days), my skin has cleared up very well ( & i have pms cystic acne in some places) while my skin is dewy and glowing. Over-exfoliating is a big mistake! This product helps your skin takes in the moisture, but only what it needs and nothing that overwhelms and clogs the pores. Thank you, Ms. Mercier & Sephora!

Quick Take: effective
This is strong yet gentle! I love that it melts away even my heavy duty mascara and does not sting my sensitive eyes. I wear contacts and recommend taking them off or your vision will get blurry after some rubbing! My only criticism is that it can get quite messy... So I actually like to have a warm wash cloth handy so I can quickly rub off the makeup and break up the oil after all that cleaning! It leaves my skin soft and doesn't feel "stripped."

Quick Take: foamy, milky
I have been using this product for a year & a half and will never go back to regular face washes. This takes off all of my makeup (even waterproof mascaras) extremely quickly and it leaves my skin feeling soft after using it. It is so gentle on the eyes that it doesn't matter if you get it in your eyes during the washing process. This does not make my skin feel oily.

I have combination skin but have just discovered the beauty of cleansing oil. My main goal is to keep my skin clean and break-out free while still moisturized. This stuff does it. After a couple days of using this cleansing oil (with the Clarisonic), my skin is silky smooth, clean, and MOIST.
It gets five stars for a) not breaking me out and b) helping to smooth those fine lines I'm getting because I'm dry.

I was seriously concerned when my Laura Mercier Purifying Oil Rich was no longer available. After some deliberation I went ahead and purchased this new formula. I am seriously relieved to say it is comparable if not the same as the previous version. No more eye makeup remover, this one does it all ladies. I have extremely dry skin at the moment due to Accutane and this purifying oil is like a tall glass of water for my skin. So very soothing and hydrating. Plus there is absolutely no makeup left behind. It's gentle, it works, I really don't know what else to say! Oh perhaps I did like the previous packaging better....

Quick Take: milky
I have really dry skin, so I felt that this would be a good fit for me. I realize that oil isn't supposed to clog pores, but my skin is more broken out than it has been in 20 years. I haven't changed anything else in my cleaning/beauty routine, so it can't be anything else. I really wanted to like this cleanser because of how highly it was recommended to me. I will not be buying it again.
