Quick Take: creamy
It breaks my heart to write a poor review for Shiseido, which generally impresses me with the quality of their products. However I cannot bring myself to recommend this lipstick at this price point. Beautiful color selection. Creamy and moisturizing. But compared to the other Shiseido lipsticks, it just falls short. It's not long lasting and has a tendency to look a little high school due to the shimmer.
My recommendation is if you are looking for a Shiseido lipstick, skip over the shimmering rouge and go for the perfect rouge or perfect rouge sheer. Those two are some of the highest quality, best performing lipsticks I know.

Moisturizing and a beautiful berry red. I ordered the Venus and it is a complementary red to my golden tone skin. You do have to reapply every now and then as it doesn't stay on long. Though, overall, I would recommend the color and product. **These are only available online, so be sure to google on blogs that show the colors you are interested in and put into consideration your skin color.

Quick Take: beautiful colors, not sticky, moisturizing, doesn't last very long
I choose Butterscotch, hoping for a light nude, but in real life, it was sort of orange coral. Still really pretty but more color than I expected. It feels great, very moisturizing (at first) and not icky-sticky at all. I really wish it stayed longer, but that seems to be impossible for light colors that are moisturizing. The moisturizing effect doesn't last long either, because when the color goes away, so does the shine. Still, it's a lovely lipstick and I will likely repurchase. FYI, the stick is slim, not as fat as a regular lipstick.

I chose the sizzle since I love the bronze tones. The color is very coral, meaning bright. I'm not sure if I like it to keep it yet, but it's very moisturizing.

I have been a Shiseido fan since spending 2 summers in Japan, where I was introduced to this company. I've been using their fabulous skincare and cosmetics for a long time but the products they released this past year, the brainchild of the fabulous Dick Page, are beyond incredible. I am a very fair skinned red head with green eyes and upon first glance of the color Venus, which appeared to be a dark plum in the swatches, I didn't think I could ever carry off this color.. How wrong I was. The Shimmering Rouge is a combination of a sheer lipstick and a lip gloss. It glides on one's lips like butter and magically turns your lips from DRAB to FAB. The color is buildable so you can apply one layer, which adds a light but brilliant, slightly shimmery, glossy look to your lips or 2 swipes, for a deeper shade. It's also an excellent moisturizing lip product that has nice staying power, standing up to eating and drinking without re application. When you wear Venus, your lips beg to be kissed. Don't be afraid the color is too dark just from the picture. If I can wear it, anyone can. The shimmering rouge lipsticks come in many colors but Venus is one of my favorites and is a nice colorful shade for the warm weather. I strongly urge everyone to try this lipstick, whether they choose Venus or one of their other fabulous shades. After your first application, you'll be hooked and you'll want the full range of colors in this collection.

Quick Take: glossy, vibrant
This is my favorite lipstick - I wish it were more popular so I didn't worry about it being discontinued! I have it in Sizzle, which is an amazing vibrant coral shade. I love the formulation,which is like a cross between a gloss and a lipstick for a great-looking finish. Comfortable to wear and I get lots of compliments. I recommend that you give this one a try!

This is probably one of the most beautiful and vivid lip color that I have ever tried. But...I do have to agree with some other reviewers, if you have combination to oily skin, this lip color may not last on you. My color disappeared in about 20 minutes without eating, drinking, or rubbing it. Due to the fact that I had to reapply constantly, the tube only lasted me about 2 weeks. This is an expensive lipstick if you ask me...
If you have dry, chapped, or mature lips, this very creamy, emollient formula may be ideal for you. For my combination-to-oily complexion, it just didn't last. As much as I love the colors, especially pink champagne, I don't know if its worth the money, and the hassle of reapplying constantly.

I love these lipsticks. I've always been a fan of Shiseido lip products and this one doesn't disappoint. I love the slim tubing, it reminds me of my beloved Guerlain KissKiss Stick Glosses. There are so many gorgeous colors to choose from, love it ! My fave is Sizzle, it's a gorgeous orange shimmer. This lippie last for along time, which is rare for a sheer formula. The shimmer is so gorgeous, makes lips look so lush ! My lips feel moist, shiny & gorgeous.

I have RS308 Iron Maiden (the purple lippie worn by the model) and I love it to death! It's not nearly as purple as it looks on the model; I would say it's a rosy fuchsia with a slightly cool tone, but I think it would play well with both warm and cool skintones. It mixes nicely with the redder tones of my pigmented lips to make a gorgeous MLBB shade with a kick. The formula is beautifully creamy but lightweight and very moisturizing (my lips don't feel dry after it wears off), and gives your lips a kiss-me dewy sheen.
The only problem is that after the color itself wears off either after eating, it leaves behind the large-ish rainbow shimmer particles, which can look odd if they catch the light. It's easily fixed by reapplying, but I just wish it didn't happen. You can't see the shimmer particles at all when the lipstick is fresh though. Oh well, one star off, but still a total HG formula for me.

I purchased the OR405, which is a beautiful coral color. I am amazed at how well it moisturizes my lips, and how long it lasts. I would say at least 3 hours before needing to reapply, and I'm a bona fide lip balm/lip gloss junkie! Great color for summer. Doesn't feel heavy on the lips.

I have the OR405. It is a sheer bright coral-pink. I love the sleek little tubes, and the formula is great. Be aware that the "Grace" color is BROWN. Not rosy brown. Not reddish-brown...but flat brown with shimmer.
