This works so well for setting undereye concealer - no caking and it doesn't flash white in pictures.

Can't even tell you have powder on. Doesn't settle into fine lines. Works perfect with the foundation.

Great all around powder
-01.10.13
I'm experimenting with new powders, but miss this one for how well it wears throughout the day. It controls shine fairly well- others better, but I haven't found another that FEELS as good after 6-8 hours. It doesn't make my face feel dry, even after many applications. This doesn't give coverage (which is why I'm looking around) but I'm probably going to go back to this one.

Doesn't change my foundation color
-12.07.12
Quick Take: oil-absorbing, reduces shine, lightweight
I use the Shiseido translucent powder in a jar to set my makeup in the morning, and I use the compact pressed powder during the day. It works well, doesn't make my face look "cakey," and it doesn't change the color of my foundation. I use Clinique's acne solutions foundation and every other powder until now makes the foundation look orange. I bought this compact more than 6 months ago and I still haven't run out. I would definitely recommend changing the powder puff occasionally to help prevent breakouts (bacteria).

Love this!!
-12.06.12
I use the Shiseido Translucent powder to set my foundation, which works great...but after an 8hr work day, I can't carry that big jar for touch ups! So I grab this convenient lil bad boy outta my bag and touch on up. It absorbs any and every bit of shine, without looking like someone smacked me with baby powder. I love it. It leaves me with a nice soft focus finish, AND That one touch up will last thru the day or night, and my tzone is CRAZY!! So no worries, Just a lil tap tap and go!! Grab it, you'll love it. Keeps lookin like onehotmutha ;)

My to go powder
-06.03.12
Quick Take: oil-absorbing, reduces shine, sheer coverage
This pressed powder works extremely well on locking in my foundation and concealer. It's finely milled and absorbs any oil left on my face. The packaging also comes in a sleek compact that's portable.

Nice finishing touch
-03.08.12
Quick Take: reduces shine, sheer coverage, oil-absorbing, lightweight
Yes, this powder does leave a bit of extra white dust on your face but after you do an extra swipe to blend it in, it looks terrific. I have the shiny t-zone, and this works really well...much better than Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, etc. The compact fits nicely in my cosmetic bag, not bulky at all.

Lightweight & oil absorbing
-02.03.12
Quick Take: oil-absorbing, sheer coverage
I have tried just about every translucent pressed powder on the market, and this is by far the best. It sets your foundation nicely and only needs a once a day touch up, even for oily skin. Reminds of a Lancome translucent powder they discontinued many years ago. Finely milled so it sweeps across your face nicely. May be too sheer to wear alone.

Works well
-01.03.12
Quick Take: reduces shine, oil-absorbing, sheer coverage
It's a nice powder that takes away shine, but it does leave a whitish color so I blend it with my fingers after I pat it on my face. I suppose it might be easier to use a brush with this? I don't mind having to use my fingers since I don't carry a brush with me. It does the job of getting rid of shine and it's in a nice and slim case.

Good
-12.11.11
Quick Take: reduces shine
I like this powder because it is finely-milled, and makes my complexion smooth. The oil control could be better, for the price, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I am relatively pale, and wonder if darker skin tones would find this adds a whitish cast. Overall, I might repurchase, because I have not found anything better.

Don't know why I waited so long to try this!
-11.14.11
Quick Take: reduces shine, oil-absorbing, beautiful finish
I am not one to purchase powder in a compact -- I have just always preferred loose powder. However, all of Shiseido's loose powders are so moisturizing that they contribute to my shine. I finally decided to purchase this to try. The Sephora rep that helped me stated that it was their favorite powder and that I was going to love it. Well, they were right! I love the ease of use, the lasting effects, and the beautiful finish it provides. It is not "cakey" like some powders can be. It pairs well with any Shiseido foundation, especially the Dual-Balancing and Lifting.

High Quality & Lightweight
-11.09.11
Quick Take: reduces shine, oil-absorbing, sheer coverage
I like this powder because it is very lightweight - absorbs shine without caking up over the course of a day. Wouldn't say it keeps skin matte for more than a couple of hours (I have very oily skin though). The powder puff that comes with it doesn't work well for me - I find this product to be much easier to apply with a brush. It is a bit expensive, but overall I do like how it looks and feels on my skin so I plan to use it sparingly and most likely will purchase again.

Perfect setting powder
-08.18.11
Quick Take: reduces shine, oil-absorbing, sheer coverage, gentle for sensitive skin
I use this with all of my foundations and it is the perfect setting powder. I have fair skin so a lot of powders will change the color of my makeup but this one is virtually colorless so it is perfect. Its also very light and doesn't look cakey or powdery. I have sensitive skin that tends to break out and this powder has never given me any problems I wish it was available in stores!

Lovely
-07.19.11
Quick Take: reduces shine, oil-absorbing, sheer coverage
I've had a terrible time with oily skin this summer. I decided to try two different oil absorbing powders. One to keep at home and the other to carry in my handbag. I wish I had bought two Shiseido compacts! It's lovely! It makes my skin look as near flawless as I've ever ssen it and it keeps oily skin at bay for most of my work day. I also tried Uban Decay, which is nice, but just doesn't compare to Shiseido. I find my self stepping out of the bathroom every morning after applying my foundation to use the powder I keep in my bag. Love it. First Shiseido product I've ever tried.
