Quick Take: good value, travel-friendly
I was recently using the clinique 3 step and my face was becoming red and continuing to be dry. I've used it for years, but I guess it was time to change. I began using Philosophy about a week ago and cannot believe the difference in my skin already! I absolutely love this product!!!! No more dryness and no more redness! Bye Clinique! :)

Quick Take: good value
This is a great set. I have super dry skin and the cleanser really leaves my face feeling clean, but not tight like other cleansers do. The Hope moisturizer does have a strong smell, but it dissipates quickly.

i noticed the difference the next day, each day it got better and better!! i have really dry skin and the moisturizer lasts all day!! ive tried so many products to help my dry skin and nothing would last and if it did it was way to oily!!

I have never wanted to spend the money on expensive products for myself, and have always made do with cheap drugstore brands. When I'd get lucky and find one that would work, it would become ineffective after a week or two, and my face would start in again with acne and red splotches. At the urging of my husband (believe it or not!), I finally gave in and did my research - Philosophy had the best reputation, and I figured this would be a nice test kit to start with.
I am now proud to say that I will NEVER again buy cheap drugstore brands, and am embarrassed that it took me this long to see what I have been doing to my skin because of my stubbornness.
I use the Purity face wash at least once a day (sometimes twice but hardly ever). I use the Hope in a Jar at night only since it doesn't have SPF. I have used the Help Me a bit to see what it might do, but I really haven't found it very useful. No matter - the rest of the set is absolutely lovely!
I noticed an immediate difference in using the face wash. I now most of the time wear absolutely no cover up, and only some days wear light powder - my skin looks THAT even and healthy now! It makes me feel very natural and very pampered at the same time.
The Hope in a Jar feels light on initial application, and makes my skin look a bit splotchy until it really soaks in- maybe 10-20 minutes. I have not been using it every day, as it is so effective and long-lasting that if I do, I get a tad oily. Every other day seems to be the perfect amount for me, and I have very dry skin. Use sparingly and find the right number of applications for your skin, and it is a dream come true.
Despite the initial sticker-price shock, I am very glad I spent the money on this set. The products are spectacularly effective and very long-lasting. I think that what I spent on this set will actually cost me much less in the long run! No more having to switch products, throw away half tubes of unused and ineffective creams, etc. I highly recommend trying this set for anyone who wants to see what a high quality product can really do for your skin.

I bought this for my mother who is 63. She absolutely loves it, so I tried it. I use Philosophy body washes and lotions, which I love so I thought I would try the skin care line. My face was a mess by the next morning. I do have sensitive skin, so that may have been the problem. The HELP was very small and should be in a jar...IMO.

This set from Philosphy is a must-have for anyone with dry skin. It's cleanses and moisturizes without irritating and it has a wonderful scent that soothes. I have tried many products to help with my dry skin (both cheap and ridiculously expensive) and this set has been the best by far!

I purchased this after getting the regular set for normal skin (which I loved) and my skin is glowing. While I'm not a big fan of the cleanser b/c I'm used to a natural cleaner that does not contain alcohol, but it does a good job at cleaning my face. I LOVE the moisturizer and the help me tube, i swear by it. Will be buying a larger jar of the moisturizer very soon!

I recently purchased this kit and have been using for about one week, so not enough time to see if it will turn back time yet i just turned 45...however i have noticed smaller pores and an overall brightening of my face i do find the cream thick however it melts right in quickly and my face feels soft in the a.m. will update after several more weeks go by!

From the description and the photo, I thought I was going to receive Hope in A Jar for Dry AND Sensitive Skin which from my understanding has a different texture than HIAJ for Dry Skin. Well, the product that came in the set is HIAJ for Dry Skin. I've not used HIAJ before but find it to be thick and heavy. It feels tacky and just sits on the skin. I've used Hope is Not Enough before and liked the texture much better (lighter but still hydrating). I read so much about HIAJ and wanted to try it so I'm a little disappointed with the texture--feels like I put a mask on. I'm 45 and have normal to dry skin. My skin does get drier in the winter so I thought this cream would be perfect but now I'm thinking of just using it on my neck. The Help Me seems okay and doesn't cause any redness or peeling although I'm not seeing any difference in my skin after 5 days of use.I generally have good skin with very little fine lines but I was hoping it would give my skin a nice glow when I woke up (like I got a facial). Perhaps unrealistic expectation. I've not tried the cleanser. I'd say that the Miracle Worker set is a much better set for those concern with fine lines and wrinkles. Overall, if you normally use these products then it's good value but for me it just doesn't seem to do anything special.

This set is working WONDERS for me. I have always had terribly dry skin, the kind of dry skin where it burns everytime you try to moisturize it. I have tried so many different moisturizers and none of them has worked for me. A friend of mine recommended philosophy and It's only been five days since I started using this set and all I can say is it is AMAZING. I use the face wash in the morning and moisturizer after and at night, i use the face wash, apply the 'help me' and then moisturizer on top. After 4-5 days of this, my skin feels so soft and nice! My skin has never felt so good before. Absolutely love these products and definitely recommend it for anyone who has really dry skin! :)

I had never tried Philosophy products before, but have never heard anything bad about them. I saw the Great Skin is in for normal/dry skin was on sale and decided to give it a try. So far I've used it for 2 nights and am amazed at how soft and supple my skin feels all day long! And for anyone out there suffering from rosacea, I too have that condition and these products have not caused any flareups at all! Just simply amazingly soft skin that looks and acts 10 years younger :-)
