Formula change
-05.06.13
I used to use the Luxeblend in medium brown, but they changed the formula so it was too warm (reddish). I switched to the dark brown and it is more like the old version of the medium brown. It is dark, but it covers grays, lasts, and smells nice without drying out my hair. I won't use another brand and am disappointed that it continues to be unavailable through Sephora.

Not the same as it was
-04.01.13
Quick Take: blah
This hair dye was fantastic, then sephora was out of it and when it was restocked it was very different. my previous use yielded great results that made my hair look great and cover grey hair until they grew out. Then this fried my hair and the color is very flat. Im not at all happy with the results. I'd rather pay someone else to do it and get good results than have hair falling out in hand fulls. Or for a third of the cost you could just go to a drug store and get the same results from another cheaper brand. Not worth the money.

Great color
-02.24.13
Love this dye. very gentle and seems to cover gray well. only complaint is that I don't get 28 washes. i'm african american and normally co-wash my hair so I don't use shampoo often. the dye still seems to fade with weekly co-washing. i prefer the dark brown. i tried the black and it appeared way to black and harsh looking for my complexion. Please change the pequi sample back to the bottle.

-01.30.13
Quick Take: awesome
I love LOVE this hair color. So much so that ive been waiting for TWO MONTHS now for this stuff to come back in stock. Sephora are you ever going to restock this??? Please restock this. I've come _this_ close to buying some less than stellar hair dye from the drugstore. Dont make me do it!

Great Haircolor
-12.24.12
Quick Take: luxurious, effective
This haircolor kit comes with a generous portion of product. I normally have to buy two boxes for my very thick, long curly hair, but one box of this was enough. However, I was only doing my roots. If I was changing my overall hair color, I would need two boxes. After applying and conditioning, my hair felt stiff and I didn't like it but after two more washes, my hair felt very soft and silky. They gray coverage was great and the color is like milk chocolate. I really liked it and I'm disappointed they are out of stock of the Dark Brown. I liked the product so much that I just purchased two boxes of the Light Brown which is all they have available. Some reviewers say its pretty dark so I'm hoping it will come out ok and I don't mind if my hair comes out a little lighter. Let's see what happens.

Hair always feels great after coloring
-12.05.12
Dark brown is very dark but I love it. It doesn't fade and feels less damaging then the coloring I have had done at a salon.

Really Fabulous!!
-12.03.12
Best at home hair dye I've ever used! Not only was the color great, but the pequi oil was fabulous. It reminds me so much of Argan Oil which I also use from Josie Maran. It does wonders for your hair and the dye smelled great! AND there was so much product for long hair! I recommend!!!!

Quick Take: good quality rich color awsome, i would buy again!!
I review this product when i first color my hair Oct 22 2012 now after the color has settle I would like to say, my hair is not black anymore. It's a rich dark brown color just like they show on box. Now i had damaged my hair with a previous color and had it light brown, with this color it cover the look of bad hair. I had long hair and has grown 3 inches after the first color (other product) and i can see my healthy nature hair and the (bottom part) damage hair. After I applied Couture color my natural hair part looks amazing, shiny perfect color, but after the 3 inches (on damage hair) it does not look to shiny, I still like this color. My hair looks good, it would have look better if it was not damage. I have extremely fine hair using the pequi oil my hair is more manageable and soft.

My Hair is Black now!
-10.25.12
Quick Take: ok
Ok, i had medium brown hair i wanted to go a little darker so i got the dark brown and followed the instructions and my hair turn out to be vary BLACK not dark brown. Now i just did this and i hope it will soften he color over a few washes. The scent didn't really bother me that much. I've had worst before. My hair feels soft and that's what i was hoping to feel. Not bad. Lets see if this color fades to bark brown.

Easy, glossy, all over color
-09.30.12
Quick Take: easy, vibrant, healthy
I have toyed with coloring my own hair for years but with Luxeblend I get the best coverage of my grays and all over color than with anyother brand. My stylist even complemented me the other day on my grea color.

Good Stuff
-09.18.12
In my experience, this color is definitely dark brown, not black. The outcome must be greatly influenced by your initial color. My hair was medium brown to start, with a few stray grays. The color is excellent, my hair is soft and healthy. I'm very pleased so far. The real test will be in about two weeks, when I start to see fading (or not). My only complaint is that the "month supply of Pequi oil" is packaged in a single tear packet instead of the mini bottle they used to include. The packaging change forced me to reduce my overall rating from five to four stars. Bring back the mini bottle!

i won't recommend
-09.09.12
I used this product and after I dyed my hair it became black blueish color . I never had so dark hair and it made me so uncomfortable so I don't wanna look my self in mirror. I didn't mind to pay 30 dollar for it because I was expecting high quality and good result . I want to hair salon for consultation and they are asking 250 dollar to dye my hair(they have to do more work than usual ) and I was even told it would ruin and damage my hair than this hair color did. by the way this product didn't moisture my hair ,it just made very dry and damaged. I won't recommend this product unless you don't care if you experience same story what I wrote before.

Quick Take: expansive disappointing product
I used this product and when I dyed my hair ,it became black blueish color .I never had so dark hair ,and i felt very uncomfortable. I didn't wanna look my self in mirror. when I bought this hair color I didn't mind to spend 30 dollar for because I expected something good. I went to hair solon to try get rid of this color .they are asking 200 dollar for it. By the way after coloring my hair became very dry and it got damaged.. So Im really not happy with this product and I would not recommend ,unless you don't mind spend over 200 dollar (THIS IS THE PRICE WHAT HAIR SOLONS ASKING ,BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO DO TOO MUCH WORK AND 30 DOLLAR WICH YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS PRODUCT) and you don't care if your hair will become damaged and dry.
good luck

Not Worth the price
-08.25.12
When I first dyed my hair using this product, my hair looked as though it was black. I wasn't freaked out about the color because I knew over time it would get lighter and I actually liked my hair dark. About a month later, the darkness faded and it was getting to be a lighter brown. I have a gray strand of hair and it did give good coverage to that part of my hair but the product works better if your dying your hair a darker color than if your trying to lighten it. I had dyed my hair a lighter color before using Couture Colour and it did a good job at the lighter parts of my hair, but for my new growth which is a little darker, the dye was useless. It lightened my new growth maybe half a shade, if even that! At first everything looks even because your hair is darker than what is advertised on the box but when the color fades, you see the unevenness. It says the formula contains "rich nutrients that moisturize" your hair but my hair was extremely stiff and dry! I think you pay a lot of money for the hair serum that it comes with, which was useless to me because I use other serums that gives me better results. In all it's not worth the price because your hair won't come out as the color advertised on the box, it doesnt do a good job dying dark hair and your hair becomes brittle and stiff ... Doesn't sound like an improvement from the drugstore dyes.

Great shine
-07.30.12
Quick Take: great shine, great grey coverage, too thick, stains hard to clean, great even color
I loved the shine from this color. Only issues I had that made me give 4 stars was the hard to remove stains and it was too thick and made hard to apply with brush.

I used Frederic Fekki 4N for years, and they stopped making it. When I finally found this at Sephora, I was elated! As good, if not better than my old color. Lasts, covers gray, easy to apply. Two thumbs up!

Quick Take: darker than it looks
On the good side:The product doesnt make my hair look and feel brittle from dying like other hair dyes. On the bad side: I was trying to achieve a brunette look but it turned out more like black. An added bonus The oil included bc it makes my hair feel silky.
