Home Color Made Easy
-05.04.13
Quick Take: great and easy to use, worth the money
Luxeblend Creme Hair color is a great home color or have your hairdresser apply! It's rich tones provide a nice switch from peroxide damaging choices! Hair feels and looks great. Use to use Fekkai home color which is no longer an option.Have not found any comparable for Luxeblend. Sephora delivers!

Professional results, easy application
-04.10.13
Quick Take: professional results, cruelty-free
The color was easy to apply, smelled wonderful (ammonia-free) and the results were better than I expected! My hair usulaly picks up red tones in hair colors, but this is the first product that removed the red tones and actually made my hair a shade lighter (which is what I wanted). Best of all, this product is cruelty-free.

Good color for the price!
-03.22.13
Quick Take: easy to use, quick results
I was a longtime user of Fekkai haircolor. When it was discontinued I began searching for a replacement product that would cover my grey (over 50%!) and give me a shade that matched my real hair color. After a few recommendations, I decided to try this.
First thing I noticed (that many other mentioned in their reviews) is that this SMELLS GREAT! The little packet of oil you add is coconutty-deliciousness.
The color turned out well for my hair and blends in great--you can't even tell the new color from my natural.
Why this doesn't get 5-stars is that I noticed after a couple of weeks the grey coverage started to wear off. When you have over 50% grey, this is kinda a big deal. But it wasn't as if it all wore off in one day--I could last until my next root touch-up without feeling like I was blinding people with my shiny grey hair.
I get 3-4 root touch ups from one box, so this is a great deal overall (I use a measuring cup from a cough syrup bottle to get just the right amount measured.)
It worked better for me than the stuff you can buy in the drug stores!

Great haircolor
-02.24.13
I started at home coloring after a few disasters at high end salons and to save money -- the at-home are also less strong for sensitive skin. Started with Fekkai but that went out of production and came upon this, which is natural, non-irritating (no ammonia) and easy to use. HOWEVER, like other reviewers mention the colors are darker than you think so I switched to light brown which is fine, even though my hair is more of a medium brown. ALSO, Sephora and the company itself cannot seem to keep this color in stock. Since they fly off the shelf so quickly -- I would suggest to Sephora to try to keep more of these in stock.

too much gold
-01.23.13
pros: does not dry the hair out; great coverage: i had 50% grey & the highlighted ends. After coloring my hair golden light brown at the roots and at the ends; hair looks shiny and healthy.
cons: this color is way too golden. My medium brown hair looked almost dark yellow. I would not call it neutral or cool color for sure.
Overall: it's hard to predict the tone when done at home, but the quality of the product is good.

Perfect color!
-01.21.13
Quick Take: easy to use
This is better than any drug store color I have used. The color does not turn brassy over time. It was a little dark the first time I used it. I now wash it out 5 minutes sooner than recommended and the color is very close to the color on the box. I have received many complements on my color.

Beautiful
-01.18.13
Quick Take: easy to use, quick results, in stock..right now
I think it's the perfect shade of light brown. This shade can be used for any complexion..fair to warm. I have more of an olive tone so I'll be trying something with some gold in it next time. I only wish they did a better job of keeping their products in stock!

Really Interesting, but dark
-01.14.13
Quick Take: scalp friendly - covers stubborn gray
This product is the best do it yourself hair color I have ever used. That said, it is SO dark, which is the reason for the star removal. I first tried the med. brown and my hair was as close black as it could get, BUT my scalp did not burn during the application and it did cover my gray. I am maybe 35% gray and have very thick course hair and my gray needs industrial strength whatever to be covered. So, this time I tried the light brown and it's better, BUT it's still too dark for my liking, however again it covered all my gray and did leave my hair in nice feeling condition when I was done. I am going to re-explore the color offering for maybe some other lighter brown ? Also, I am not sure but I think one package might work for two treatments, because both times I had a ton of product left ( my hair is shoulder length ) and the applicator dispensers both come with caps that once opened could be re-secured tightly for another use.

Quick Take: easy to use, quick results
Great color! Easy to use! My beautician likes it also. Use to use Fekkai Color Kit which is no longer available. This product has great grey coverage with little damage to hair. Gives a rich deep color! Easy to use with good results.

The best I have used in my 20 years of coloring ..
-12.20.12
I LOVE this hair color. Yes, the color shades are off but once you discover the color that works best for you, you will love it. It's the most natural looking I have ever used. And the Pequi Serum is amazing. I have grey, dry, chemically treated hair. The serum makes it so smooth and shiney. I recommend using Wen to cleanse your hair if you color. I got light brown but it's more of a dark brown. Nice highlights.

Best haircolor ever!
-11.23.12
Quick Take: long lasting, conditioning
I've tried lots of haircolors - and the salon. My hair was bleached, brassy and coarse. I tried the light brown (which seems fairly dark to me!) (not leaving it on for the full time. Got a great color - and the pequin oil gave me soft hair for othe first time in a year. I'm on my second box, and a fan.

This hair color is great to cover stubborn gray. It diesn't damage hair like drug store brands and leaves my hair with shine. I'm very sad that Sephira will no longer carry this product. :(

True colour/Beautiful condition
-12.18.11
Quick Take: true to colour, conditioning, long-lasting, colour is multi-dimensional
If you are looking for a hair colour that is true to the shade on the box, this is it. Most light brown hair colouring kits tend to have a green-looking base. This colour has red and gold highlights in it. It's multi-dimensional and not flat as some kit colours tend to be. It conditions the hair and although it says the colour lasts through 28 shampoos, I shampoo daily and find that I can go as long as 8 weeks without colouring again. This gives me a colour that is much nicer than any I've ever had in a salon. Love it!

disappointing color
-12.06.11
Quick Take: ok
Tried this hoping it would be great. It was very hard to rinse out and very dark. It is more of a medium cool brown. The color has no warmth at all. It also did not cover my grays well enough.

Nice, unless you want it to cover your gray hair
-11.24.11
Quick Take: for those not wanting to cover their gray.
Two stars might seem harsh, however I bought this product due to its specific claim of covering gray hair. One week after product application , I had more gray hair than before application. I read the directions before application, covered my hair with all product and left it in an extra 10 minutes than instructed. The immediate above average color results are overshadowed by its cost and time one has to incur recoloring your hair shortly after application.
