Formula has changed
-04.27.13
Quick Take: changed in the past few months
I just saw a review by 'Rosieoregon' and she described exactly what happened to me with one exception. My hair feels like straw!!! I've used the Lt Golden Blonde for 2.5 years and when I received my last box, it colored my hair blonde and it's dried out and frizzy. I can't find anyone to ask questions of. All the numbers I've tried are for the Couture Color water filtration system. I'm scared to use this product again. Perhaps they changed ownership??? I'm very disappointed because I really liked this product. The color was perfect and it made my hair feel silky soft. :-)

Rich color that didn't damage my hair
-04.13.13
Quick Take: rich, brightening, covers gray, hair feels thick and soft
Brightened my dulling medium blonde hair, and adding a nice copper sheen. My hair felt soft and thick when it was done. Felt like I'd been to a salon, but without that price!

Then and Now - Lt. Golden Blonde
-04.01.13
Quick Take: easy on your hair and shiny.
Started using in Aug. 2011. Was reddish as described - grew to like it. Last ordered 3 boxes on 3/1. Colored last on 3/4. Looked different while mixing, looks different on my head! But I like it ... truly more of a golden blonde. No one at Sephora or Couture Color can explain what happened. There are different sticker numbers on the bottom of the boxes (two same, one different) that don't mean anything to anyone. The two same stickers are newer stock since they no longer supply the month's supply of pequi oil. No one has a clue. I'm going on a cruise and will use the one that has the same sticker number that this one on my head has and hope to get this color ... whatever it is. Will send the other (with the more oil supply and the odd sticker number) back and hope that I get something again from the "new batch?" This is mind boggling that something should change so drastically after using the color for 1-1/2 years. So now I have a color I really like and no one knows what happened to make it change. Sephora people on the phone were very nice but clueless. They were forwarding to a dept. mgr. but I couldn't expect a call back as the dept. was "really big". The e-mail reply suggested I purchase something to change the color. That person didn't listen. I like it ... what is it? Hopefully I won't be in a hat on vacation with a totally different color. So if the next box goes back to "reddish" I guess that's it. I really like the product ... wish I could send pics of the drastic change. Personally I think it's a different color in the wrong box, but we'll never know.

Great to cover grey, soft and manageable
-02.05.13
Quick Take: easy to use, makes hair soft, covers grey well
I bought this color because I love Couture Colour's Pequi hair oil...I have thick blonde hair that is naturally ashy and I have quite a bit of grey. This product covers the grey completely and the color is very natural looking. I love that you use your own shampoo to wash it out also. My hair is soft and I don't feel the product damages my hair the way other hair colors have done in the past. I do recommend this product to friends as I feel it's worth the price!

Too expensive for what it is
-01.10.13
Quick Take: overhyped and overpriced
OK, it does not damage hair as much as a $5 box, but it's ain't all that amazing, or lasting, or "natural." I am a dark blonde naturally and had light blonde color applied before using the product. The color came out darker than light blonde I had and had both copper and ash hues. Copper washed off very fast, no need to re-color if you don't like it. If they were selling it for $15 I would buy it again, but definitely not for $30. They could at lease skip the brush to bring the price down.

Honey Blonde
-12.09.12
I've read reviews that this will turn your hair strawberry blonde and that's not really true. This brand in particular seems to really only go up or down one or two shades, which I'd imagine cause there is no bleach. Before this I bleached my hair to try to get this color at a salon but they went too light and I was too platinum looking so I used this to go back down to a more warmer blonde. It's way lighter than the box color but it was perfect and never turned it anywhere close to strawberry. My roots that were growing in that are light brown look just like the image on the box though, and it's still not strawberry, it's warm though. And trust me before I went blonde I had tried all the varieties of red hair there is and this won't get you there.

I glanced at the reviews below and thought I’d give it a try. I have a reddish-orange tone and it is horrible! Happy for others, but be cautious when buying this product, you might end up like a clown!

Excellent!
-11.01.12
Quick Take: excellent, expensive but worth it, nicely packaged
Do not fear using this marvelous product. I have really dry, coarse hair, exposed to chlorinated water. I am am in 50's and my hair is mostly gray. I've been dyeing it for 30 years as I went gray early in my life. I swear this is the best hair color I've ever used. Covers hair evenly, helps with freeze, smells good. Just get it ! You won't regret.

Perfect color but it is not permanent on me
-07.18.12
I've used this color four times now - Light Golden Blonde - and I love it. I did see pictures in the reviews of the color, so I knew it would be strawberry blonde. Much different than the color on the box, but that's just what I wanted. However, the color does not last at all! After three weeks I see white hairs popping through and after 6 weeks, I'm ready to color again. I've never had to do the root touch up. I always leave it on longer than the instructions state and I use really good hair products for color treated hair. If I didn't like the color so much I would look elsewhere. I'm not sure if I should be happy or not that it fades quickly and I don't have roots.......

Bring Back the Light Brown
-07.15.12
Quick Take: awesome!!
I finally found a hair color that I could do at home, that covered the grey and lasted! I loved this one, and it made my hair look so healthy. However, I cannot find the light brown color any more and it was the only one that will work for my hair. Why has it been discontinued?

Strawberry blonde mess!!
-04.28.12
Quick Take: awful. worst i've used in many years., box doesn't show true color hair will be., save you money and buy something else.
I'd give this a minus if it were possible. It totally ruined my hair color and I wish I'd never had tried this product.
I used FF hair color with great results and since it has been discontinued I thought this one sounded good.
Well my beautiful golden blonde locks are now a reddish orange and in trying to get my old color back I damaged my hair.
I absolutely hate the color this product turned my hair.
Yuck!!!!

Beautiful
-03.23.12
As long as you are a little flexible about what color your hair will be this stuff is beautiful. I ended up with a strawberry blonde sort of color but it is beautiful. There is a lot of shine and it maintained the dimension instead of making it all one flat color. My hair was really soft after using this and still felt healthy even though I was going a few shades lighter.

Where is the light brown?
-03.17.12
Quick Take: the very best, covers grey soft silky does not fade, light brown is beautiful
I purchased my first box in light brown (unless I am imagining this since I used light brown in other products). I went to Sephora in Brea today and they have discontinued the product. On reading reviews I see that light brown has been discontinued.
This is the only hair color that works for me. I love it in the light brown. I do not want med brown or dark. Please bring back light brown and sell it in the stores. Finally, I had found what will cover grey and not fade and with no ammonia.

Definitely strawberry not golden
-02.24.12
While I like the red - and have received several compliments on the color - be aware that it is definitely on the red side rather than the "light golden" it promises. My hair seemed very dry afterward, but I did a conditioning treatment and it's okay now. There was plenty of solution for my medium long hair.

Definately Red
-02.08.12
Quick Take: a little off color-wise, easy to use
Wish I had read the reviews about the "red" part bc I was definately aiming for a cooler blonde shade like the shade shown on the box. Not an unnattractive color though, really. I would suggest getting two boxes for thick or long hair instead of just one, I have very coarse, curly, medium length hair and it just barely covered the top layer. =)

Nice color - shame it doesn't last
-01.17.12
I've used the product three times now and I really do like the color (Light Golden Blonde). I read all the reviews before choosing this color so I knew up front it was red and not the color on the box. It's exactly the color I was looking for. I haven't had to do the root touch up because the color fades well before three months. Actually, after 3 weeks I had a few white hairs around my hairline. This is my only experience with hair color so I don't know if that's normal or not. I left it on a little longer that it stated and made sure to saturate the hair really well. If I weren't so happy with the color I would move on to another brand.

OMG...This hair color was great. My only regret is that I did not find this product sooner. I used to purchase my hair color kits from health food stores thinking they would be good on my hair, but they were not. I will for sure purchase this again. THANKS SEPHORA
