Love this kit. Cape seems a little cheap, but works like a charm. I was able to machine wash and hang to dry. The clips look and feel cheap in your hands, but when you use them in your hair they work like a charm too. I use them everyday to section my hair to blowdry and style my hair, LOVE THEM!!! The bowl is sooo easy to clean, and does not get stained. The comb is nice too, I like the end with closer together/smaller teeth. It sections my hair nicely. Very worth it!!!! I'm not patient enough to ever use the bwl and brush (brush provided by hair dye box), but I use everything else in this kit and love it to death!!! Great price too!!!

The Professional Colourist Tools 6 Piece Accessory Kit is great and not just for coloring. I do NOT color my hair, but I do use a Ojon hair mask once a month that's awesome on my hair, but has a weird smell (it's washed out) and is left on my hair for about an hour. It used to be sold at Sephora, but isn't, any longer. At the suggestion of another Sephora reviewer, I melt it in my microwave so it becomes an oil instead of having lard like consistency. My hair is too long to try to use it in the consistency in the container. When melted, I apply it to my hair. Even though I was pinning my hair up on my head once applied, it would drip onto my clothes (shoulder area). It stains. The mask itself is excellent and I don't want to give it up but it's messy to use. (Unfortunately Sephora no longer carries this mask, but I got enough in advance to have at least enough for another year).
The Professional Colourist Tools 6 Piece Accessory Kit makes it easier for me to use my hair mask. It's not such a big production anymore. I'm sure it's probably good with other products, too, other than those for coloring. The dual sided comb allows me to section my hair easily, combing through tangles, and then to evenly comb the mask through my hair, which, even when melted, is still a heavy oil. The salon cape covers my clothes so they don't get dripped on and damaged by the oily mask. (It really is wonderful, despite how it sounds). The sectioning clips are way better than the metal clips I was using to section and pin my hair up after application of the Ojon oil. These clips hold my hair much better, and they're way easier to clean than the metal ones because the oil got into the tiny springs (?) in the metal ones making it difficult to clean. I even found a use for the dish - once a week, I mix three different treatments - an Argan oil (not sold at Sephora) along with a Bumble and Bumble product and stay in conditioner - in the dish and apply with a pastry brush to roots and ends. The bowl makes it easier to hold and use than the ceramic dish I had previously used which would get slippery and hard to hold.
There's a lot of potential for this set other than for those coloring their hair. It's nice to have all these things in one place. I know I could have gone to the beauty supply store to buy them, but it would have been out of my way, costs more, and would have wasted time. Plus, I never got around to doing it. This accessory kit makes taking care of my hair a bit easier, the cape protects my clothes, and I appreciate all of that.

great purchase if you color your hair at home. I hated using my regular hair clips that I had to wash afterwards and worry there was color on them .
only complaint is the cape felt a little cheap , but it washed up easy in the washer
and I could have used 4 clips instead of 3 but it was fine. im glad i purchased it and will reuse it in the future. i threw out my old cheap color bowl and brush

I never colored my hair at home before so I got this kit too with the color- I felt like a professional!!! I especailly loved the cape- I got NOT ONE DROP of color on me or my clothes! The bowl was really nice too for mixing the color- I will use this over and over-

I thought the kit was a great idea. It is nice to have everything together. The comb and clips felt a little cheap to me. They worked fine when I colored my hair. We will see how long they last!

This kit had everything for coloring hair- loved the cape. Completely made the coloring mess-free. This will last me years- substantial and well made clips and comb. Will throw in my suitcase too for when I have to color my hair on the road.

Why hadn't anyone thought of this sooner? I hate making a mess when coloring my hair and this kit had absolutely everything I needed, down to a salon cape! No fuss, no mess- coloring my hair was a pleasure.
