Great but doesn't last

I bought this shower head in late 2011. It was wonderful at improving hair and skin quality but it simply did not last. The cheap plastic of the shower head cracks after a certain time and I just find it unacceptable that this product didn't even last 2 years. The shower head was leaking and eventually just popped out it's own joint. I would recommend using teflon tape when installing. For the price, it's not worth it in my opinion. I found another filtered shower head for a fraction of the cost with a 5 year warranty. This filter does work great, and I love that the filter used on this product is sustainable, but the build quality for the price seems unfair.

I have reviewed this item before so this is an update. This water filter is excellent for hair color and keeping your skin less dry. I even shower our Golden Retrievers now and it's helped their skin and fur! That being said I agree with a previous post about the quality of the shower head. My first one had tiny holes in it so the water was spraying out of all sides. I called Couture Color and they sent out a new one. A month later the new one broke also. Now another call. You would think the quality of the shower head would be better considering the price. Couture Color needs to step up to the plate and fix this issue!

Am I the only one who has had problems with this? I love what it does for my hair but I'm on the 3rd one now!!!! The shower head keeps cracking! I hate the plastic all 3 have cracked in different places! I returned the first one because it was leaking from a crack when I bought it! Make it w/out metal & you'll get your 5 stars!

Quick Take: simply amazing
I suffered from extreme dandruff from the hard water in California. In one day and the use of Phyto shampoo, my itching and flaking subsided. In one day my itchy scalp was gone and in one use my body and hair felt much softer.

If you have well water and color your hair, you need this!!
Also, good for your skin. My colorist can always tell when I need a new filter from the condition of my hair. Make sure you change the filter at least every 6-8 months.

It's a keeper!

I was a bit skeptical about this product but given the good reviews thought I would give it a shot. I'm happy to report that I am very pleased with how well it works. Weeks after coloring my hair I was getting compliments on how wonderful my color was and a how shiny my hair was. I was also having a problem with dry, flaky skin and that has improved too. My husband has even commented that his skin feels softer.

Quick Take: blocks out harsh chemicals from water
I have used a similar filtered product I got at my local health food store and I like this one so much better. The shower head is great and my hair and body feel cleaner. I color my hair and this helps keeps it from dulling from the chemicals in our water. I liked it so much I bought one for sister for her birthday!

I have been using this for over six months now, and I can say it really works!! Hair sshines alot and it dosent get tat horrible orange hue, and the color stays locked in...even in white hairs. A keeper.

I live in Chicago and the water is as hard as rocks. No water filter is better than this system. I originally bought the Jonathan water system and Couture Colour Resc works perfectly.

This filter system does help my colored hair as where I live the water has a high concentration of chlorine where it discolors my hair being that it is colored processed and dries it out terribly. This prevents the dry hair and seem to hold in the color much better.

Quick Take: easy to install, a mustfor hard water and well water!, effective
We have a mixture of well water and delta water (farm run-off that drains to the bay) in our town and since moving here almost a decade ago, my hair and skin have really suffered. My nails are more brittle, my hair is drier and my body/face more prone to acne.
I purchased this during the last FF event with some skepticism. I did not think anything I bought at a beauty/makeup store could be strong enough for our mixture of extremely hard water. But I was wrong.
My hair and skin got better, but these could easily be attributed to other factors such as diet and other beauty products. It wasn't until I forgot to change the filter that I really knew what an amazing and effective investment I had made.
During the 3 to 4 months that the filter didn't need replacing, my hair was softer and shinier. I had no body acne.
For 2 months subsequent though, I forgot to change the filter. I despaired at my frizzy and brittle hair and was horrified at the body acne that was cropping up just in time for summer. I tried changing my soap, shampoo etc. Nothing helped. Until I remembered I had to change the filter.
Since finally changing the filter, I realized how much this little thing has improved my hair and skin and not to sound cliche, life. I spend so much less time covering up acne and fretting about my frizzy hair, it's really saved me a lot of time. I'm going to be buying one for my mother as well.

I feel like I got back my healthy skin & hair. I saw results immediately, my skin was soft, not red & irritated as usual after showering, my hair is softer with less conditioner & my body acne gone. What else should I ask for? This experience totally worth $120 for me & I recommend it to everybody.

This is one of the best purchases I have EVER Made!! It was easy to set up and my hair looks amazing! The color in my hair is lasting a lot longer and I notice that my skin is much softer!! Everyone should have one of these!

Quick Take: worth the investment
I made the splurge with this purchase in Nov 2011, I suffer from eczema, acne and dry skin, I'm also taking a medication that has made my processed hair even dryer.
I've been using for 2 months now and have to admit I saw no benefit in the beginning, but continued to use as I felt it was healthier for me anyway.
I now see the full benefit, my hair and skin are much softer, especially my skin! I've never had such soft skin, even softer than in my 20's! Along with the Pequi Oil my hair has improved greatly, I have curly, frizzy, thin hair for reference.
I highly recommend to anyone sitting on the fence as it is expensive, but now I am so glad I purchased. The pressure is fantastic, reomovable wand convenient. LOVE LOVE LOVE

This has got to be one of the best investments I have made recently. Water from the shower feels much softer on the skin and shampooing and rinsing hair has saved my color from fading as quick as it used to.
I would say that anyone with water issues such as hard water or calcium deposits in your water would really benefit from replacing the old shower head with the Resc-Hue System.
