I love every single product of Josie Maran! HER SELF-TANNER IS GRADUAL, BUT THAT'S WHY IT LOOKS NATURAL. LOVE THIS PRODUCT AND HER OIL, CLEANSING OIL AND MOISTURIZER!! I WILL USE HER STUFF FROM NOW ON!! EVERYTHING IS HYDRATING EXCEPT SELF TANNER( THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE)

Pros:
-VERY natural looking tan (I am pale and it gives me a soft, glowing tan)
-fades gradually and naturally (no scruffy looking patches of pale)
-easy to apply, don't have to worry about scrubbing your hands after putting it on

If you're patient, you'll get a nice tan appropriate for your skin tone (I'll never have the dark sun worshipper tan and I'm okay with that) after 3 or 4 applications. I love that it fades normally and doesn't have parabens, etc in it. This has become my go-to tanner for this summer.

Quick Take: gradual, long lasting, natural looking
It took a few days for me to realize what a wonderful subtle tan this stuff was giving me. It is so clean and dries so quickly, I forgot I had it on! I love the texture of my skin after I have used it, and for me, 2-3X a week is all that I need to maintain a really nice even healthy look. If you want something immediate, add a little liquid bronzer to it and be sure to rub it in in a circular motion. I'm thrilled with it!

My main hope for this product was that it wouldn't make my skin feel dry. Sadly it felt tight and dry after just one use. The color looked good after one use but the dryness issue made me not want to keep it.

I bought this to use on my legs. I'm pretty pleased with it. It's easy to use- no streaking, no color transfer, and no odor. It took three consecutive days of usage before I saw any color. The resulting color was not super dark, but on my light skin it was enough to make a difference that made me comfortable enough to have my legs exposed. Once I stopped using it, the color remained, fading slowly, for about a week.

This works great for face, neck, chest and arms. It's a bit expensive to use on legs also. Please produce a Larger size Would give 5 stars with larger product and better pricing.

I think this works great. I use on my face, arms and chest. Would use on my legs but too expensive for overall use. Please make larger size and less expensive. I use Tan Towels on my legs but love Josie's natural products.

Quick Take: good consistency, easy to apply, nice texture
I let some of the reviews about it not showing up very well lull me into a false sense of tanning security.
I'm white. Not alabaster pale, white with pinkish undertones white. I don't tan, so in the winter I'm pretty white. In the summer I try to wear sunscreen and a few times a year sit in the sun without it just because it feels good.
So with that said, it DID show up on my white pale winter skin, with just one application. And since others said it didn't show up really well, I perhaps got a little lazy about rubbing it in as well as I should have, and ended up with some splotches.
I think it has just the slightest bit of the self tanning smell, and probably only I could smell it on my skin while lying down.
It's sort of pricey, but worth it considering it is safer than any other you will find.

I love Josie, her concept and enthusiasm, hence the four stars, but this self tanner left streaks on my legs. Made it look like I had little bruises on my legs. Might return, haven't decided which is worse: having pasty white legs or having a few streaks here and there. I will only use her products on my skin.

Quick Take: natural color, moisturizing, not messy, easy to use
Absolutely love it. Great, natural looking color, with a lot of buildability to it. Put it on in the morning or at night, wait a few hours, and you'll be 2+ shades darker (depending how much you layered)
* My only suggestion is layer a small amount at a time when you start, because it takes a few hours for the results to show up. And when they do you don't wanna be too dark on accident!
It's a fab natural brand self tanner with great results, can't think of a reason to not suggest it.

Quick Take: very easy too use, non smelly, gives even and buildable coverage
I was researching about self-tanning products and got a sample of this cream the other day. I wanted something subtle, not too obvious, but delivering the promise of the sun-kissed skin ( my skin is fair, but not porcelain light and I recently have noticed how pale I look in my pictures, even when we are on vacation). I tried the sample of this cream last night and this morning only on my face and am pretty happy with the result. The colour looks natural, my face looks a bit tanned . No orange undertones, no streaks and I didn't feel any smell at all. Another big plus is the components of the cream are natural. Wish it had an spf as well.Just ask for a sample if you are hesitating!

Quick Take: light weight, subtle
Love this product! The color you get from this product is VERY natural so I can understand how some people find it to have surprisingly little color payoff. However, I'm very fair a a couple uses does the trick for me. It can be worn during the day or at night and truly does absorb instantly. For those who think it takes a while to absorb, your skin is most likely not exfoliated enough. I also use Clarins Gel self tanner because it gives more color. But to maintain my fake tan this product is perfect.

I love the natural ingredients and paraben-free formula. It's the only daily tanner I found that won't irritate my skin.
The downside was the uneven coloring on my pale skin. However, it was sufficient to keep my glow-in-the-dark legs from blinding everyone in my shorts.

I've tried several self tanners and this is one of the best I've ever used. I'm allergic to parabens so I love that it is natural and it does NOT smell like chemicals. I have olive-y skin and tan easily and I find this is great for giving my face color. It's not orange-y or streaky to put on and it gives a nice overall glow.

Quick Take: richly hydrating, gives you a very natural-looing tan
Warning -- DON'T put this on shortly before you go to sleep at night hoping to wake up with a rich tan -- the product will NOT absorb THAT quickly. The areas that rub off onto your pillowcase will NOT look tan in the morning, whereas the rest of your face will. Solution -- apply to a thoroughly cleansed face AT LEAST 2 HOURS before bedtime. Then you can go to sleep if you want -- the product will already be absorbed into your skin, which means that It will work perfectly, and you are going to LOVE IT!
