Quick Take: portable, good value, perfect for summer!
I felt like I had to write due to some of the negative reviews. The colors are for summer and they are gorgeous! some are very pigmented, but you need to BLEND! The brush is OK, but I never expect much from the brush that kits include and use my professional brushes anyhow. These colors are great and I have loved experimenting with them! I have hazel eyes and fair skin. I am NOT disappointed in this purchase!

Beautiful Neutral Colours

Quick Take: good value
I enjoyed this eyeshadow set when I bought it earlier last year. I'm not one to wear bright colours, so I found this palette to be pleasing. Some people say the colours were too "light", but isn't that the whole point of these colours...for a soft, natural look? All these colours can be used for every day. I absolutely love the matte Vanilla colour...I used it a lot for highlighting (under my brows). It looked so much more natural than using a white shadow or shimmery shadow that looks too tacky (during the day). I used Vanilla so much that I ran out. ;( I also like Nude and Stone a lot for a natural daytime look. Stone gives enough shadow for a light smoky eye without looking too much like a club girl or going out for the night. Sienna is nice for a more night-time look. Then again, this is just my opinion. Like I said, I use these colours for a daytime and natural look...it is for a more polished look without looking too "made-up". I used the shimmmery shadows very lightly (using a fingertip to dab it on). Nectar is also a nice matte colour than can be used for highlighting as well. I have olive skin, but it's a light olive (yes, those of us with olive skin can be very white), so these colours go well with my complexion. I didn't use the liner's as a eyeliner, though. I used them on the outer edge of my eyelids for a darker, evening look.

Quick Take: portable, great neutral shades
I'd been wanting this palette for a while, but I tested it in the store and found some colors to be great, while others to be not so great. However, I found it reduced in my local Sephora inside JCP and felt it was worth that price. There are 4 matte shades which are nice. Stone is a great crease shade. Sugar and Truffle are beautiful. I like Lucky Penny and and Sienna, but they're not unique or anything like that. Most of the shades are nicely pigmented, but are easy to build. Flirt is way too sparkly and has alot of fallout. The two liners aren't dark enough to really be good liners, I used them more as cream shadows. The taupe is really quite nice. The brush is blah, it does the job i suppose.

Quick Take: good value
I had to buy this set twice! I had just used it once not really having time to try different looks when my daughter asked to borrow it. She loved it and the colors suited her Blue-Hazel eyes beautifully so I gave it to her. However, I loved the color scheme and soft look so much that I bought another for myself.

Quick Take: portable, good value, soft, everyday look
I definitely thought this was a nice palette to have for every day looks. The colors could have been a little more pigmented, but since this is supposed to be a soft look, you can't really complain. However, it does come up a lot at once so you have to be careful with your brush applicator. I barely swiped my shadow brush over it and so much excess came up. It's hard to not make a mess. The double ended brush that comes with it is very good quality. The eyeliners however should have been left out. It barely had any color and was too liquidy to make a nice defined line. The primer of course was excellent. This gets a 4 out of 5 stars for me because I can use it often.

The shadows did not have staying power and the colors did not sow up very well. I would have liked the palette had the colors had more pigment. However, just for daily wear, it's fine.

I like the colours and the brush is nice....but the glass mirror broke really easily and the shadow doesn't last very long. I found the primer really really dry too.

This palette is so beautiful. The only issue I had was I lost the application instructions for different looks. I contacted Smashbox but they did not contact me back. Awesome product but the service at Smashbox was very poor.

I love Smashbox and have other palettes that I love but this one missed the mark. I had to apply the colors numerous times just to see a light glimmer. Reminded me of Bobbi Brown's line. Natural colors except that you might as well stay natural and put nothing on your eyes since you cant see the color. The glitter ended up all over my face from the fall out. The shadow would crumble when I put my brush over it. Needless to say it went back to the store!

This product is not worth the price at all. The shadows are not pigmented and there is too much fall out. Some shadows are just shimmer, no color at all. And most of them are extremely drying on your lids. The eyeliners are useless and the primer is too dry. Don't get it!!!!

I was incredibly excited to see this palette at my local sephora during my holiday shopping. I was deciding between this palette and the urban decay neutral palette. I'm an UD lover, but what sold me on the is palette was the lack of glitter. UD glitter can get annoying to say the least. However, I disagree with the majority of the reviews on here. I did not find that this palette had staying power or was highly pigmented. I was expecting a lot more. Even with the primer provided I found that by mid-day my eyeshadow was almost gone. This is "unnatural" for me, because my eyemakeup always lasts all day and night long. At the end of the day my lancome eyeliner was still on, but the shadow was gone. I really wish I loved this palette because the colors are gorgeous, but it just felt...dare I say, drug store quality to me. Also, I'm a self proclaimed beauty junkie and I never comment on products, but I really felt that I should share my out of the norm experience.

I love all Smashbox products, but this eye palette is my favorite by far - I've purchased it 3 times now. The colors can take you from day into evening, they wear well, last forever, and the included brush is the best eye brush I've ever tried (including very expensive ones purchased separately).

Quick Take: portable, good value
I've been using the Smashbox primer for almost a year now, and I can say I've been thoroughly pleased. I decided to try this palette after borrowing a different Smashbox palette from a friend. I fell in love with it. The eyeshadow's consistency is like velvet. They are pigmented and vibrant, not over powering, and the shimmer is just that shimmer, not glitter, unlike Urban Decay. The primer is okay, can't say I was totally blown away, and the brush is great quality. Overall a wonderful purchase!
