Wow. This was my first Smashbox Try it Kit and everything except for the mascara was great! High quality product. I especially liked the eye primer. My eyeshadow looked the same when I put it on in the morning until way past 9 pm. I did not like the mascara because it was heavy and it uncurled my lashes. But everything was so amazing I didn't care!

Quick Take: good value, travel size
I have been curious about Smashbox products for awhile and this was the perfect way to sample them. This kit got me addicted to the photofinish face primer and the eye primer. They both work wonderfully.

Quick Take: great value, nice variety, unique collection
I was pleasantly surprised in this kit. The sample sizes are pretty decent. I LOVE the mascara. It is a good value for getting to try everything out before shelling out the money for a full sized. Definitely a must have for anyone new to the line or even for someone who wants to give a gift to their friend or teenager that can't really afford to spend 22 dollars on a mascara alone. I really enjoyed the sampling! I would definitely repurchase a full size in a few of these products.

Quick Take: good value, travel size
i love love love this kit! the foundation primer feels silky on my skin and makes me makeup stay, the eyeshadow primer i havent used because i dont wear eyeshadow but it seems to work alright, the lip gloss is a beautiful color, the eyeliner is pigmented and the mascara is one of my all time favorites, so having a mini for my purse is a plus

From the photos I've seen I was expecting this trial to be big. But, with this size does not matter, I LOVE, LOVE,LOVE IT! This is good for people who are new to Smashbox, and I am impressed with the quality.Low Down:
Lip Gloss: Smells like sugar and sweetness, is not sticky sparkly, practical
Eyeliner: Cute and stays put throughout the whole day, easy application.
Mascara: Good quality does not smudge or clump.
Eye Primer: Keeps from creasing, a little goes a very long way.
Foundation Primer: Pretty good
Lip Gloss: Smells like sugar and sweetness, is not sticky sparkly, practical
Eyeliner: Cute and stays put throughout the whole day, easy application.

Quick Take: good value, perfect
When I bought this, I was a little bit weary, noting the sizes were not too big. When I received this in the mail I got a lot more than I was expecting. The products were a lot bigger than I had expected. The eyeliner is almost a full size, as well as the lip gloss. The eye lid primer works wonders. It made my cheap eyeshadow look expensive and perfect, and not to mention it stayed on all day. The face primer is fantastic. It keeps your makeup in place for hours and leaves your face feeling soft and refreshed. The mascara is a bit clumpy, but overall pretty good. The lipgloss looks amazing on my fair skin, because of the gold undertones, and shimmer. The eyeliner is my favorite product from this. You get a lot of it, it is a real true black, and it stays in place all day without fading and smudging. Don't wait to get this! Place your order! You wont regret it.

Not very happy with the products. Both primers did not do anything for me. The mascara did not work very well at all and the eyeliner is definetly not a colour that I use.

I was excited to get this kit to try out some Smashbox products. I like the idea of this kit & appreciate the chance to try out all the products for such a good price. However, the only product I am happy with is the mascara but I will not be purchasing the full size because I like a few drug store mascaras more. The lip gloss is way too sticky for my taste & not comfortable to wear at all. The eye shadow primer did nothing to stop my shadow from creasing on my oily, hooded eyelids. The eyeliner is smooth & creamy but did not stay put on my waterline or lower lash line for more than 2 hours. The foundation primer was ok - won't be purchasing the full size.

Quick Take: good value, travel size
I am so glad I got this starter. I don't wear makeup every day and I am pretty lazy to actually go out and test products but I had a job interview to go to and had to make an attempt. I was very pleased to say the least. The Photo Finish Foundation Primer is light and made a difference when applying foundation, I don't really wear eye shadow so haven't tried the eyelid primer. I love love love the eyeliner and mascara I have actually used those quite a bit and will be purchasing the full sizes when I run out the gloss is perfect for my low maintenance routine. All in all for $19 it was worth the purchase.

Quick Take: awesome for fair skin!
I chose this because I wanted to try samples before I decided to buy the full product. The lid primer is the best I have ever used (for my skin) and will definitely be buying the full sized version as well as their face primer. Not too heavy and nice texture. Your face doesn't look caked but photo finish ready like it says. The mascara is awesome. Other mascaras claim all this length, volum, separation but this mascara brush is so great. It clings to every lash and doesn't every get clumpy or spit out too much mascara. I'm so glad I tried it. The other products are good but I was really looking for a good primer and mascara. So glad I bought this!

Quick Take: good value, travel size
Foundation Primer- i already had a mini of this primer and i love it! it makes your face so soft and keeps your makeup on nice, and its not heavy, so definitely like this.
Eyelid Primer- i usually just use this on my eyelids when i'm not wearing eyeshadow just to make my eyelid tone more even, but it is a decent eyeshadow primer, but not my favorite
Mascara- i like the mascara but have only used it a few times because i have so many new mascaras to try
Lip Gloss- i like the lipgloss, the color is really nice, it is a little sticky though but i like it.
Eyeliner- the eyeliner i don't like, since i seen so many good reviews about this maybe i just got one from a bad batch or something but i can't even put it on my eyes because i have to push so hard to get any to show up, it works on my hand just fine though so i don't know but i'm going to pay around with it to see if i can make it work

Quick Take: good value
If I could, I would give this 4.5 stars, since if it were just the primer, mascara, and liner - even for the same price - it would be an easy 5. But here's product by product -
Face Primer - This is the reason I purchased this set, I am not disappointed, and I will be buying a full-size when this sample runs out. I LOVE how smooth and clean this primer feels going on, and it keeps my makeup looking fresh all day. Also, I don't need much, and I've used this 3-4 times a week for about 2 months and still have a good amount left.
Eyeshadow Primer - I give this 2 stars. My shadow has noticeable creasing within 5 hours, so even if I'm just wearing a light wash it looks ugly. I do not have particularly oily eyelids, and this doesn't happen with UD or Too Faced (which are also cheaper)
Mascara - I love this mascara. I can see why some people find it a bit sticky or clumpy, but for me it goes on easy and is just a little bit more dramatic than what's usually marketed as an "every day" mascara (so, for me, it's great for every day). I don't like to purchase high end mascara because, but I might make an exception for this.
Lipgloss - Just ok. I have very pigmented lips so this doesn't do much, but when I prep with some concealer I like the way it looks.
Eyeliner - LOVE this too. It's my new favorite black eyeliner. It goes on very smoothly, it's very pigmented, and it lasts all day.

Really enjoyed the lip gloss. The primer can't be beat. I didn't really enjoy the mascara - I prefer smash box or Lancôme in that department. Overall the sampler is well priced and the lid primer is decent. I prefer sephoras kohl liner to this one.

Have only used the eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss so far. These 3 items alone are worth the cost. The eyeliner goes on smoothly and is very pigmented. The mascara both extends and volumizes lashes (although it is somewhat susceptible to smudging). The lip gloss is a shimmery neutral colour, likely flattering on most skin tones.
Great way to test out the brand at a low cost.

I love it! Its inexpensive and you get to try some great products. I really like the foundation it makes my skin so soft. I also love the color of the lipgloss it looks good alone or added to pink or red lipstick.
