I tried this on in the store at the end of a long day. My face was slightly oily and had blotches in my blush. I used a little from the center of my face and worked my way out. It Disolved instantly into my skin. It created a soft glow, matt coverage look that even gave my face contours. It looks completely natural as if I have nothing on! I am lighter shade of caramel African American with gold undertones so I purchased this in Brunettes02. This is slightly tanned on me but I haven't had a drop of sun yet so hopefully this will work during the summer as well. This is very light weight like you not even wearing anything and it looks that way too. I have sensitive skin and it does not break me out in any way. I have very oily skin and the matt affect last about 4 hours before I have to blot. This is truely the best foundation I have ever worn. I like to wear Guerlain Terracotta matt bronzer #7 and Guerlain Sheer Blush bronzer #5 on my cheeks. I have jet black hair, dark eyebrows and eyelashes and and this bronze line makes me look so beautiful without looking made up. Just a naturally beautiful woman with beautiful bronzed skin. Also a little goes a long way. If your still thinking about it, just do it. I'm stocking up!

After years of looking for a product that would provide light coverage while I'm down south, I went into Sephora asking for recommendations for a product that would match a suntan. All the staff wanted to sell me BB Creams or tinted moisturizers, which I have tried in the past. When you are in 35C heat + humidity, I find for evening that these just "sweat off". I went rogue and started looking around the store. I came across this product and tried it on my hand. I found it gave some coverage, without being thick. I liked it. I used it once as a trial at home and took it on vacation.
While away, I got a little too much sun on my forehead, and had some "raccoon eyes" from the sunscreen. While getting ready for dinner I decided to give this a try on my now sun kissed skin (red it spots, white in spots, tanned in spots). I put a very small amount on my fingers and rubbed it in. It toned down the red forehead and covered the sunglass white lines to blend my skin to a beautiful glow. I used this without anything other than some mascara and very light eyeshadow. It was fabulous. I'm home and I will continue to use it for coverage and to even out skin tone while I have a tan.
I'm so glad I found this! Love it, love it, love it!

Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing
Discovered this on a trip to NYC last year when I left my foundation at home. There was a Sephora near our hotel and I needed something that could go from daytime shopping to elegant dinners and trips to the theater. This stuff is so creamy and blendable. When you first put it on, you'll think it is too dark but then it magically adapts to your skin tone and you are left looking flawless. I love how it makes my skin feel. I won't travel without this stuff and won't be without it.

Beautiful and natural glow

I'm using the Brunette version and so far I am enjoying. The description of the product is clear: It has sheer coverage with velvety powder finish which I really loved. Your skin will look healthy and slightly tan; you will feel your skin so soft, like a peach peel! I don't use this alone though, it is very sheer, but it works beautifully as a primer and also as a bronzer after your foundation. I'm using this glow foundation under my Vitalumière Acqua from Chanel and they blend wonderfully. Oh, this product has a delightful scent to it, which I happen to love. Apply just a small amount on your face and you will have a healthy glow for a long time. Totally worth it, in my opinion.

I have this in shade 01 Blondes. Although Im not a natural blonde, I am very fair. This is more like a tinted primer than a foundation. The texture kind of reminds me of Stila's 1 step bronze. I tried this on the back of my hand in the store before buying so I knew what I would be getting. The way I use it is over a tinted moisturizer just on top of my cheekbones, forehead, and under my chin, blended down my neck. I treat it more like a gel bronzer and it works well. I do not think this would work strictly as a foundation for a fair skinned woman.

I have tanned skin (I tan in both the tanning beds and now using spray tans instead) so my face color is always slightly changing. While I wouldn't say this is the kind of coverage for a full foundation, I mix it in with my regular foundation to give that extra boost that it needs without having to layer on the powdered bronzer after. I feel like this method gives me a more natural color to my skin that matches my neck depending on how dark it is. It's quite the versatile product. I ordered shade 1 even though I am tan and a brunette because you can always go darker, but going lighter is much more difficult.

Quick Take: sheer, deep tan color, velvety
If you have olive skin, the brunette shade is a great tanned shade. If you read while laying out, it does an excellent job of making your white neck match your tan face. It does have the velvety finish, and a little goes a long, long way. For me, it doesn't provide enough coverage to be actual foundation, but it does give you a nice glow with an ultra sheer, nice, soft finish. Also, it is not oil free and you should shake it before each use.

Even though this foundation only comes in two shades, it somehow seems to blend in with your skintone giving it a nice, warm, glow. It makes you look like you just got back from the beach! Also - great for oily skin! Somehow it kept my skin from getting oily, yet still managed to be soft (feels like a primer). It also does not accentuate dry patches. Even though the foundation is light, it still manages to cover up major imperfections like a regular foundation. And it looks natural, like you have no foundation on at all. It is almost perfect....my one con (and this may not bother some of you), is that is 100% NOT transfer-resistant, meaning it can rub off on your clothes. It never LOOKS like it rubbed off, but if your cuddled up in your hoody or jacket, you may notice a little on your coller. And if you run up and give your boyfriend a great big hug, he may get annoyed at the foundation that has rubbed off on his t-shirt. Other than that one small con, it is perfect!

This product is great, because it gives your skin a healthy glow and a "faux tan" look. It is, however, very sheer so I use it before my foundation or tinted moisturizer if I want more coverage. It has a powdery finish, and looks very dark when you squeeze it out, but it blends in beautifully. A good alternative if you don't feel like dealing with a face self-tanner.

I love this foundation. Sometimes I use it alone, but sometimes I use it just to contour cheekbones and around the hair and jawline. The texture is amazing. You only need the tiniest amount- don't let the price scare you because it will last forever. It's more on the sheer side. Great product, amazing texture, another win for Guerlain.

I'm a pale redhead with ivory skin that gets red. While at the Lenox Mall Sephora, I spoke with the Guerlain rep, also a pale redhead who said that she uses this product, who recommended this product and applied it for me. It feels amazing and takes very little, but requires a lot of blending. I've been told before that red hair technically falls into the blonde category, but don't know that this is a good shade if you're pale. I wish they'd make it in actual shades, not the terracotta colors as not everyone changes to a bronze/tan shade in the sun. And, if you look at terracotta pots, they are orange. I agree with the reviewer who said it looks better indoors than out. In natural light, my skin is pretty orange and if you're in humid climates, it doesn't have staying power. Those who say it is not foundation confuse me as it is labeled a foundation and the company rep marketed it as a foundation.

I will use this for life. I hate going tanning but love having a bronze glow, so when I do tan, I am only outside for a little bit and wear a hat and big sunglasses to cover my face. This stuff makes it look like I was happily baking in the sun! It is NOT to be used as a foundation, so if any comments are negative, saying it doesn't offer enough coverage... it's not supposed to. I put it on under my foundation(s) and it is perfect.

A tad too orange on my skin. The texture was beautiful, and light, but I just couldn't get over the unnatural tone. Returned and purchased the actual powder bronzer instead. There are more options in the bronzers so I managed to find a more natural color.
