Quick Take: nice, creates a smooth shave, natural scent, great packaging
I bought this as a gift for my father, who seemed to like it. No complaints about the smell or lather capability. He liked the packaging and consistency of the shave gel. I like that it's free of parabens and fake fragrance, which can be too frou frou for a man.

Quick Take: improves shaving, skin-softening, acne treating
I got this as a sample for my boyfriend to try when he shaves his head, and for me on my underarms. We are both very prone to ingrown hairs and this shave gel works wonders! He has been using it regularly when shaving his head because he's not left with any bumps, and I use it daily and get MUCH smoother results then a traditional shave gel in a can. I just ordered our 3rd full size bottle!

Sooooo GLAD I decided to try this shave gel! I have rather sensitive skin that is prone to razor rash if I'm not careful. This gel feels like I'm spreading velvet on my legs. My razor just glides over it. My skin feels so SMOOTH & COOL after shaving & NO ugly razor bumps! Also, a little bit goes a long way, so you don't have to use half the bottle on one shave. I highly recommend this product!

Quick Take: improves shaving
I got this product as a sample and it is the BEST shaving product that I have ever used. I have very sensitive skin and shaving is always an issue- red bumps, skin reactions to shave creams & gels, etc... After the first use, I had no skin irritation, no red bumps, and my legs have never been so smooth. This product is amazing!

I tried a sample of this, and it's by far, hands down, the best shave gel ever! It gave me the cleanest, closest shave...who cares if it foams are not, it's wonderful! No razor bumps, no ingrown hairs, just smoothness and softness.

Quick Take: doesn't coat skin, worse than soap
This non-lathering gel does not soften skin, does not go on easily, does not shave, and dries out in mid-shave. Without any doubt, it is the worst product calling itself a shave gel on the market. And it's not cheap. I'd rather spend a little more for an outstandng shave gel like Art of Shaving or even less for Lab Series for Men. Avoid this product. I'm returning mine.

Husband loves it!

My husband bought this set and is really satisfied with it. He loves the smooth close shave he gets with these and the smell is wonderful, a crisp citrus that is not overpoweringly sweet or fruity. Makes his skin look great too!

Well, if you have tried the face scrub, moisturizer, or wash...you know Eshu products are normally sublime. This, however, fell WAY short of my expectations...no lather whatsoever. Even with reapplication I found I have better results with a normal drugstore body wash or shave gel. The face scrub, tho...TRY IT. You won't be disappointed.

My husband tried a sample of this Eshu Shave Gel. This is a gel, and not a thick lather, so it seemed strange to him, at first, because he likes the thickest lathers. But when we started thinking about it, we realized that when he travels, sometimes he's used soap including a couple of times when his can of shaving cream got confiscated by TSA due to size. (Even though he knows better, he rushed to catch a plane for last minute trips, and didn't really think about it, throwing his shaving cream into his carry-on. It took the reinforcement of the third seizure to finally make the point). The point is, if he could use a hotel soap that wasn't even made for shaving, and makes virtually no lather, then he could certainly give a gel that's made for shaving at least half a chance. While it might take getting used to, my husband decided that the sample actually turned out to be pretty good, which was really lucky because we had a few more samples. Women might also like this, because it's easier to tell what curves are being shaved (knee area, for example) without those areas being covered by thick heavy lather. My husband decided that he appreciates the gel, after all.
