This conditioner is very moisturizing. However, for my very fine hair it still seems to way it down some, but less than most other conditioners. I don't use it everyday because of weighing it down.

Quick Take: worth every penny!

I understand that a product that claims to be volumizing would not be full of ingredients that would lead to weighing hair down. However, a conditioner should still provide enough moisturizing ingredients to leave your hair soft and detangled. This was not much better than skipping conditioner altogether, which my long hair will not allow. I give it two stars because it does feel nice in application and didn't completely destroy my hair, but I would not repurchase. I think it suffers even more in comparison to the anti-frizz formula from the Bamboo line, which I loved.

I have thin fine hair and have fallen in love with the alterna products. The smell is great and I actually feel like they do something unlike a lot of other products.

Quick Take: doesn't weigh hair down
I absolutely love the smell of this shampoo , it is def volumizing so it does it's job but it's not as clarifying as I'd like it to be. You don't get that good CLEAN feeling. It's also not as moisturizing ( the conditioner ) but I guess that's expected with any volumizing conditioner

Not my favorite conditioner

I do not find this conditioner to be very moisturizing. After use, my hair tends to be more dry than soft and silky like other conditioners I have used. I will finish the bottle but will not purchase another. It does have a pleasant scent though.

This conditioner is super light weight but really improves your hair. Not greasy at all, smells great,and my long thick,hair is easy to get a comb through. My hair is left super full,shiny and.managable..

This product does actually add volume without weight. I use it with the shampoo, the mousse and the root blast. All work very well together, and my hair is short, fine and dry. I am thrilled to find this line.

I have only used this in conjunction with the Abundant Volume shampoo, so cannot attest to its effectiveness with other shampoos. But as a pair, they've worked very well, offering me a good deal more volume. The shampoo cleanses thoroughly without stripping and the combo leaves my hair soft and shiny.
They do have a strong scent (thus, a one-star deduction), which I'm generally rather sensitive to. But I don't find the scent terribly offensive while I'm shampooing/conditioning, and I'm happy to say it doesn't linger after I'm done styling. (If I air dried and didn't use any finishing products, maybe I would still be able to smell it -- but the majority of time I blow dry and use at least two products for styling.)
I have naturally curly, color-treated hair, which is fine (per strand) but I have a lot of it. So, it's true, I don't have a dire need for volumizing products. I just love my volume, so I tend toward those types of shampoos and conditioners and have tried many over the years. This line is my new favorite!

While I love the shampoo, the conditioner, while good, is not as good as others I've tried. It is, however, good for color treated hair. I mix it with a small dab of masque and it works well. Fine for every other day use.

Just too heavy for my hair

As with the shampoo, I liked everything about this conditioner except that it weighs my fine, curly waves down and makes them impossible to control. I'm sure someone with more robust hair would love it; smells great, feels great, super shiny. I just can't use it.

The smell.... I love! If they only had body products I would submerge in a big tank of it. The conditioner is awesome. Very full bodied yet weightless for my fine hair. The best I have used and I have tried a lot.

I thought this conditioner was doing wonders for my hair - I didn't notice much additional volume, but my hair felt healthy and shone. Then, I decided to try a hemp-oil conditioner - and was astonished by the remarkable increase in volume I saw. I switched back to Alterna - and saw a decrease. It's not bad conditioner, and doesn't leave behind residue, but it doesn't add as much volume as other conditioners.
