LOVE this shampoo.. and any Alterna product for that matter!! This is a very clean shampoo.. keeps all the gunk out of my hair (and I use alot) I have very fine hair and this always gives it a lift!

I was looking for a volumizing, sulfate-free shampoo and ordered this one without knowing much more about it. I'm very happy with it. I have fine hair that tends to wave in humidity. This shampoo adds fullness without making my hair frizzy in humid weather - and in Southwest Florida we've been having 12 months of hot and humid. I bought the conditioner, too, and I'm happy with both as an alternative to my salon-purchased shampoo and conditioner. In fact, I may like this one a little better!

Love this shampoo!

To be honest, I don't think ANY shampoo will give noticeable volume to my sad flat baby-fine hair but this stuff still feels great and rinses very clean. If the price is stopping you from buying it, I find that a little goes a long way and the bottle is lasting me forever. I plan on sticking with this brand for a while, as I like the ingredients and the fact that it is sulfate free.

This shampoo is perfect for guys like me who want some volume. I think it smells pretty unisex but have a couple female friends who can't stand this and think it is too masculine. I just love how it makes my hair feel. It truly adds volume and life to my fine strands!!!
This is possibly a bit drying to my hair though but I find that any shampoo that leaves my hair too soft winds up weighing it down.
I actually love the Caviar line more than this though. They are amazing products!!! LOVE THIS!

Quick Take: smells great, eco-friendly
I love this shampoo -- smells great, all natural ingredients, sustainable products, etc. -- the trouble is, so does my husband. We got through a bottle of this shampoo in 2 months. It's a little expensive to go so quickly. I would definitely recommend the product, though, if you're able to spend $20 every couple of months on shampoo. I don't notice that my hair is actually fuller using this shampoo, but it's certainly not any flatter than usual.

Excellant Shampoo For Thin Hair

I was always shopping around for a shampoo that would give my hair body. Well, I found it at Sephoras in Bamboo Abundant Volume Shampoo. It is the most amazing shampoo I ever discovered. I have had so many compliments about how full my hair was that everyone is running out and buying Bamboo by Alterna, I'm afraid there won't be any left for me

Even great for thick hair

I have extremely thick hair that has a tendency to get overly dry or overly oily. This shampoo is fantastic. It leaves my hair perfectly volumized without being frizzy. The other huge benefit of this shampoo is that it cuts down on my washes per week. I can go three even four days with grease-free voluminous hair.

I loved the anti-frizz formula from the Bamboo line, but I wanted to try for a volumizing formula to compare. I didn't really notice any additional volume, but it seemed to be okay. Not great, not horrible. It cleansed well and didn't aggravate my scalp or cause frizz (though my battle with frizz tends to coincide with the weather, and I was using this shampoo in the fall/winter). I wouldn't really repurchase an 'okay' shampoo for the price, but different hair types will respond differently, so others may have a lot of love for this product. I personally prefer the anit-frizz shampoo, though, and would gladly repurchase that one.

This shampoo has a real natural, pure, and energizing feel to it. I feel like it strengthens my hair without a bunch of chemicals. My hair definitely has more volume after using it.

Quick Take: good for daily use
I ordered this after using a sample of Alterna Bamboo Shine. Did not notice any noticeable increase in volume and the half-open mechanism to squeeze out the product almost always left shampoo dripping over the side of the bottle. You need to use a very small quantity so the products go a long way. The smell is divine. I'm going to try the Alterna Shine.

Smells Too Masculine

I received this in a the travel set along with the conditioner and the scent is much too masculine. Too the point where my boyfriend was calling me "Brut" after the cologne and turning away from my hair wrinkling his nose. I even noticed the scent while using and thought it was odd.
I will not use again on this reason mostly. If it had wowed me with its performance perhaps I would continue, but I will have to pass. The scent of a product isn't even that important, but when I notice it in a negative way it's a no go!

Quick Take: hydrating, good for daily use
Was recommended in Women's Health Mag for my type of hair (fine & damaged) so gave it a try. So far it has been a good shampoo. I don't need to use as much as my normal brand, and so far it has been a nice shampoo. Seems to moisturize without weighing down hair, and is gentle while adding a little volume.

I absolutely love this shampoo. I have very very fine limp hair and using this shampoo has been amazing and my hair looks great.
My only issue was that it was not packed properly and the bottom of the shampoo bottle was cracked which I did not notice until I went to use it and shampoo went shooting through the cracked bottom instead of the bottle opening. I would encourage Sephora to pay better attention to packing with extra cushioning so this does not happen.

Bamboo products in general are, across the board, fabulous for my hair. Bamboo Abundant Volume Shampoo is perfect for sensitive skin and baby fine hair, and you can use it every day without worrying about your hair going flat or looking weighed down. It's an all-natural product, free of sulfates and other harsh ingredients, and the results leave you feeling like your natural self. It smells fantastic too! It can be used sparingly, and the results definitely justify the cost.
