It's ok in a pinch

I feel like this product is just ok. I have baby fine, very silky hair that is cut in a long bob. My hair has the tendency to lay very flat and not hold a style very easily. This gives my hair a bit of texture and a nice feel, but not so much volume. I got much better results with the Living Proof hair cream.

Quick Take: too heavy for fine hair
When I first purchased this product I loved it. However, after a few uses I noticed that my hair became very weighed down and somewhat oily. My hair also would not hold a style. I've also noticed that it takes a few shampoos to rid my hair of the product. Nothing great.

Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use
I just wanted to write to say I bought this product by mistake. I thought I would give it a try anyway, because of my fine hair. I was amazed how shiny, silky and fuller my hair felt. I went back to get my other product which is the mouse by bamboo. Such a nice light weight mouse,but gives beautiful body with blow drying. I have even used the two products together and get great results. I would recommend to anyone with fine,limp,straight hair.

This product works wonderfully for my fine, thin hair - plumps it without weighing it down. The only complaint I have is that it is slightly masculine smelling (at least compared to my other products!).

Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky
Works great for me. My hair is dry, coarse and is beginning to thin out. This stuff smoothes the coarseness while conditioning the hair and plumping the individual strands, so that the thinning is less noticeable. My stylists used this on me first, so I knew that it would work for me.
When I came here and read the reviews, I asked my stylist about it. Apparently, this product will not work for everyone, so that might explain the (undeservedly) negative press.
For the doubters, I STRONGLY suggest that you consult with a professional who KNOWS your hair and discuss with them whether a product like this will work for you, prior to using it.
The cost might be considered high. Take into account that this product should last at least 6 months. My bottle will last me over a year because my hair is short. If you consider the cost over the lifespan of the bottle, it is quite the bargain!
The product does have a scent which others have described as slightly masculine. I agree and wish it were more gender neutral, but I am not going to stop using it. If this is the only negative thing I can say about it, I'll use something else on a day that the scent bothers me. So far, it hasn't. Please note, that I am very fragrance sensitive and can smell things that most other people cannot.
All in all, this is a wonderful product!

My hair looked filthy with this product and became a tangled mess was breaking off and looked like some terrible damaged hair ( usually soft shiny and bouncy!)I had to rewash and redry my hair and even then my hair is still funky. Ughh.

Quick Take: overhyped
There was so much "buzz" about this brand I had to try it. It did not give me any noticeable difference in volume, in fact it seemed to weigh my hair down even though I used a very small amount. I was highly disappointed!

Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight
I use this product on the washes right after my relaxer. Since my hair appears the thinest during this time. It works like a dream with out making my hair dry. Now I do but a little argan oil on my ends before applying so perhaps that helps. but it really adds some much needed volume.

Thicker hair? No. But, it does give a nice wave when you let it air dry.
I have medium thick wavy hair and I find it gives me a beachy wave that holds nicely (read: doesn't frizz out or want to tighten into a spiral curl).

Quick Take: heavy, good for thicker hair
I have long very fine, and thin-ish hair, and I wanted to love this product! I love the way this smells, and the way it made my hair feel. My hair looked shiny, and smooth, and frizz free. It looked great immediately after blowdrying, however, even an hour after blow drying it left my hair kind of sticky and flat. :( I gave it to my sister who has shoulder length, thick hair. It works nicely for her to tame her mild frizz, condition, and add shine.

I have very fine hair - it's hard to strike a balance between having enough product and too much to weigh it down. This is fool proof and conditions while it helps you achieve a perfect look. Am on my 7th bottle - wouldn't know what to do without it!

Really adds that extra oomph. Doesn't weigh my hair down and I feel like if I skipped a use that it would still be working on my hair. My fine strands get nice and plump from this stuff and I can tell because my ponytail feels thicker! Smells like fresh cut grass. It seems like the bottle will last a long time too.
