I really like this liner. I use it with the Laura Maurcier Activator. It stays on all day. It is difficult to get off. Use eye make up remover. It's a good liner to use for very defined lines or just to fill in between your lashes.

Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing
It took a bit of trial and error, but I think I've more or less mastered it. Too much water or activator and too much product on your brush, and you'll wind up with raccoon eyes soon enough. Just the right amount -- literally 1-2 drops, wipe off excess before applying, then get a little more on your brush -- and you're golden. I've also find wicking away moisture by dabbing a q-tip along the waterline BEFORE you apply helps. Not sure where I read that advice, but it works, and keeps the stuff from traveling to your waterline!

Tightline has vivid pigment, rich deep color, and staying power. It's a quality product..can smudge line for a smokey effect while it's still damp, once it dries it stays put!
Remember.....as with any cake liner, a steady hand and quality eye liner brush is needed...

Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing
I recently went into Sephora to try to find a liner that I could use to tightline that wouldn't transfer onto my lower waterline. I had read a lot of very positive things about this product and it was recommended so I gave it a try. It is easy to use, gives a nice, even line, wears well, and is not difficult to remove. So, did it solve my problem... no. It does transfer to my waterline when I blink, especially in the first 10 - 15 minutes after applying, but maybe not quite as much as the other liners I have tried so far. I am still searching but so far this is the best that I have found. I also love that it fits into my custom compact.

I've always used cake liners because I feel they give me much more control on application. This product goes on easily, stays on nicely throughout the day, and easily washes off at the end of the day. Highly recommend!

I really love this product. I just use water and the Sephora Pro Flat Liner Brush #25 to tightline my eyelashes. The only thing is I wish it would last a little longer.

Totally in love with tightlining, use the brown everyday. Thought this would be a fun color to throw in on occasion but I find it to just be dark with no discernible blue to it. Four stars because I love the product itself.

It went on wonderfully, and I like how it applies easier than pencils and liquid liners, but after an hour or too, it all fell under my eyes and made me look a mess! Not long wearing or waterproof for me. Keep in mind, almost EVERY eye makeup product does not stay on long for me. Maybe it's just my eyes?

I bought the same Laura Mercier as others have purchased and find the brush and this eyeliner to work together fabulously. I bought both the navy and the black eyeliner and find they both have their place. I did not purchase the activator; I have been using tap water and it seems to work just fine. I may eventually purchase the activator to see if it provides any benefit. I'm sold on Laura Merier cosmetics!

I have been using Tightline since Laura Mercier taught me herself how to do the perfect tightline technique at an event in NYC. Once I put it on in the morning, it NEVER budges. I don't understand the reviews that say "it didn't last 2 minutes"? You MUST use the correct brush, Laura makes one especially for Tightlining and I have yet to replace mine. Invest in a Flatline brush, have an experienced Laura Mercier artist at Sephora show you the technique and you will never use another another eyeliner, nor will you need to because this product lasts forever!

Stays on all day without smudging. Looks great and makes my eyes pop and with the brush it's super easy to put on. Comes off easily with any makeup remover. Love it, definitely recommend it.
