Quick Take: sensual, sexy, lasts all day
I tried this perfume in a major department store, really liked it and bought it. The sales associate said he loved the way it smelled on me, but I figured he was trying to make a sale. I bought it because I really liked it. Well, EVERY SINGLE TIME I wear it, I get compliments from both women and men. A very sensual aroma...

Suitable for all seasons

This scent has enough going on to make it interesting and complex without being heavy. I'm not a big fan of the other Thierry Mugler scents aas I find them too overpowering, but this one isn't. I don't wear too much scent in the summer, but this will be a great scent for when the nights become cooler, and I will probably wear it into winter. Bottle is gorgeous, this would make a fantastic gift for someone lucky enough to have a thoughtful friend purchase it for them.

Quick Take: deceptive, gorgeous bottle, mature
The bottle is absolutely gorgeous, but the scent has a few issues. First, it smells nothing like Alien. I really don't smell much, if at all jasmine, which (to me) is Alien. The scent at first whiff reminds me of generic brand shampoo. It isn't anything special. I completely missed the vanilla, or maybe it was hidden under that shampoo smell. I wish I could have smelled the kiwi, orchid, or vanilla - none of it. Don't know what the deal was. It wa also a very mature scent - I couldn't imagine it on a woman under 30 or 40. Maybe I'll smell it again sometime, but really, this was a disappointment.

Love all things TM, but found this scent to be a very nice, basic vanilla scent. Nothing wrong with vanilla, but knowing what TM is capable of as far as creating unique scent experiences, disappointingly average.

Opened up with a hint of powder, which i despise. Then settled into a watered-down alien, which was surprisingly mature and disappeared in a couple of hours. For me, at least, not terribly impressive. I liked the summer Angel better, and I wasn't in love with that one either.

Quick Take: different, mysterious, sophisticated
For all of you Thierry Mugler fans out there ~ like me ~ and who have the base versions of Angel and Alien, the limited versions seem to rarely offer anything SO different that they will knock your socks off because they vary SO greatly from the original.
I love Alien and have worn it for years, but avoid it in the summer when the jasmine notes are too overpowering. This was the time for me to purchase a lighter, summer edition of Alien for every day wear.
I am not disappointed in the fragrance. The heart of Alien is still there...this edition just does not catch you SO off guard. It is more golden, more muted, more appropriate for wearing during the hot summer months.
I would describe this as a more mature woman's fragrance. It is not "beachy," it is not "young," by any means. It is sophisticated and different.
The con: unlike my original Alien, it lasts approximately 1 hour on me. Not long lasting at all, but perhaps that is my chemistry. I recommend this for those who already know and love Alien, but who want something for every day.
