I have to agree with the other reviewer that this product is really hard to apply to your hair, doesn't smooth your hair, and makes it dull after your hair is dry. Worse than drug store conditioner even.

The masque has a gross texture and is hard to run through your hair. It doesn't moisturize your hair at all! There is nothing good about this product.It only makes your hair puffy and frizzy.

Moisture renewal without greasy feeling

I am an addict for the Alterna Bamboo Smooth line. The masque is a nice compliment to the shampoo and conditioner. I use the masque twice a week and it renews the basic level of moisture in my hair. It never leaves my hair greasy or weighed down even though I have baby fine hair.

Quick Take: remarkable
I have long, color-treated hair which is typically dry and dull. This product along with the Bamboo dry oil spray has made my hair feel thicker and stronger. Damage from a straightening iron has been reversed and my hair is noticably shinnier and smoother. My niece is a swimmer with long hair and she agrees that this is a great product for long, dry hair. LOVE IT!

I have thick, curly, dry hair and for a deep conditioner this wasn't very moisturizing at all. The texture was great and I loved the smell. It just seems that when I rinsed it out...it hadn't really done anything for my hair. I used heat with it, I used it without heat...no difference. I will not be repurchasing this.

Quick Take: easy to use, quick results
Anyone who colors their hair (from a box or from a salon) needs this. I actually used it as a conditioner before I colored my hair and it was good not great. Then I colored my hair and it was sooo dry, damaged and weak in general. Put this on for 10 minutes and it literally put the moisture right back in and made my hair more manageable. Anyone dealing with those rough few days after a color treatment should get this! A little goes a long way!!!

The bottom half of my hair has a perm and two bleach jobs growing out under the re-dyed 'natural' color, so needless to say it's kind of a disaster zone. I used this product for the first time this morning and saw results right away. My hair feels nourished and soft and looks undeservedly shiny. And a bonus star because it only takes 3 minutes vs. some masques that tell you to leave it on for like 10 minutes. It does leave a bit of residue behind, though I quite like that because my scarecrow hair needs it. But if you don't you'll need to rinse it very thoroughly.

This is the only brand my hairstylist in Scottsdale uses on me so that's why I went on to purchase it at sephora so I can use it at home as well. I usually do a deep condition after I use their bamboo shampoo. I sit under my dryer for 45m-60m until I'm ready to rinse. This leaves my hair baby soft and well hydrated. I have 4B hair.

I have natural hair that loves to get poofy, so I was drawn to this product because the label claimed it eliminates frizz. I used the treatment with my hair steamer for extra moisture. Although my hair was nicely moisturized, I didn't see a decrease in frizz. I think my other deep conditioners provide the same amount of moisture. Overall, a decent product, but I probably won't buy it again.

This stuff is amazing. I've been letting my ombre hair grow out and the bleached /dry ends of my hair and a mess and my hair just tangles and breaks. You put a LITTLE bit of this on, and you concentrate on the middle to ENDS of your hair. NOT at the roots. I made the mistake of applying way too much and it did not rinse out well and like other reviews my scalp felt so gross the following day. but you have to use it correctly, and it is a miracle worker. You add little by little, until you can completely run your fingers through the ends of your hair. When I use it my hair feels baby soft, detangled, healthy , and shiny, with absolutely no frizz! I use it a couple of times a week. I never imagined something with these kind of results was possible----- and I wish so badly that I had discovered it sooner!

I bought this to help my hair recover from a bad perm. Nothing will restore my hair to it previous glory but this stuff really helps! It's heavy, so keeps the frizzies down. Very nice. Careful rinsing -- if the water you use is too cool or you don't rinse thoroughly enough you end up with some gooey stickiness.

Love the fragrant scent! Smells so nice, ad the mask is very creamy and smooth on my hair. I have fine hair and it makes my hair sleek and beautiful, very smooth and frizz free. Will repurchase even though it's expensive.

I love Alterna's Bamboo line, the shampoo, conditioner, mask and kendi oil have helped rescue my chemically damaged hair, making it soft, shiny and managable again. No one would ever suspect its chemically fried.
