Quick Take: has a satin finish.
I like this product, I've always loved it the moment i saw it. It's suppose to be a bronzer but since my skin tone is medium/dark it's more or a highlighter but boy what a highlighter it is. I love it because it doesn't look obvious. I can't stand lots of shimmer and that's why this is my favorite highlight. I've not tried this as yet as a eye shadow but it works as a great highlighter once again for the tear duct area. I was told this product was awesome as a highlighter for my skin tone and that's what i bought it for, so for me it gets 5 stars for doing the job.

I think this is such a pretty bronzer. Its shimmery, so you will not want to use it as a contour, but for an all over glow, its beautiful. Its also pretty as a crease color for those days when you want a natural eye look! The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because shimmer turns a lot of people off, I"m not one of those people, but I respect that some people will find that a deal breaker.

I bought this blindly just because it looked nice. As a bronzer its okay, with a LIGHT hand on my medium skin. I've made the mistake of putting too much on and also attempting to use it as a contour and failed miserably. I haven't tried it as an eyeshadow but I imagine it would be just fine. Overall its an okay product, but I wouldn't have purchased if I had swatched it in-store first.

Ultra-shimmery; only works on certain skin tones

Quick Take: well-pigmented
First off, this is **NOT** a contouring bronzer; this is just as shimmery the Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter, except that the pigment is darker.
COLOR: coppery, orange-y bronze
TEXTURE/FINISH: luminous and well-pigmented, but not outright glittery/shimmery.

The only thing I have a complaint about is the shade. On my medium skin, it's too light to be used as a bronzer, but too dark to be used as a highlighter. It's also wayy to orange-y for my liking. If you apply too faintly, it'll just look like sparse glitter--but if you apply too much, you'll look orange. I can't imagine it would work that well on pale skin either, given its pigmentation.
IMO, this is more like a luminizer for dark skin, than it is a bronzer. Makes for a beautiful copper eyeshadow, though.

Bad as Bronzer..but passes as eyeshadow

I saw good reviews and purchased without trying. There is way too much shimmer, and every time i wear it i feel like i look dirty / orange. Definitely not what i was expecting and i cannot wear it as a bronzer.
I tried it as an eyeshadow, and actually love it for that purpose.

Im not too happy with this Betty-Lou!!! I wanted this product as a luminizer with a bit of color but that doesn't work for me bcz of the intense orange that doesn't give a realistic appearance of a light tan. Sure the description makes this Betty sound awesome but the product falls short from all it claims. I really wish Sephora still had MARY-LOU MANIZER instead of this. Mary-Lou has been with me for 5 years and Im almost running out. I hope to one day find Betty-Lou manizer again or something that is just as good and with the same type of durable packaging.

My favorite new bronzer! I've used many bronzers with varying degrees of success, and this one comes out ahead for several reasons: it doesn't break me out, the shimmery texture matches seamlessly with my Bare Minerals foundation, and the shade of bronze is nice and coppery rather than orangey. Being pale, I apply it to my cheekbones, bridge of my nose and chin VERY lightly with a small kabuki brush. Very pigmented, so a little goes a long way.
NOT FOR YOU IF: pairing with a matte foundation, you don't like shimmer in your products, you want to minimize pores, you like a lighter bronzer.

Quick Take: creamy, long lasting
I have the Mary Lou-minizer and I love it but I can't use it on my dark skin for an allover shadow like I can Miss Betty here. I love it. I use it allover the lid and sometimes as a highlight. Looks amazing and lasts forever. I still use Mary as my go to highlight though. One, two, punch!

This bronzer is way too much for my fair to medium skin, i put on veryy little of the bronzer and i still look a little orangey.. my sister told me.. 'um you look reallyyy tan".. and didnt mean it in a good way! def better for dark or olive complexions

I almost bought this the first time I saw it but convinced myself I had enough bronzers in my collection. Then after I read multiple reviews, I was convinced I had made a bad choice and went back and bought it. This bronzer is BEAUTIFUL! It is a bit deceptive because it comes on the skin more copper-y than the brown that it looks in the tin. However, I think this looks great on darker skin tones. I am not sure if it would be as flattering on fairer skin tones because that "bronze" color might come out orange looking. But I'm in the tan skin tone group, and I really like it! The consistency is awesome and extremely pigmented. So, this definitely needs to be applied with a light hand and layered to the desired intensity. All around - love this product! :-D

I thought this looked really pretty in store but as soon as I bought it I realized it was pretty orange on. It makes a really beautiful eyeshadow, but the bronze didn't look very natural on me.

This bronzer is super pigmented, so you only need to use very little to get it on. I am NC30 (MAC foundation line) and this is absolutely perfect for my skintone. It does not leave me overly shimmery, and its not orange-y at all all me....
Additionally, I love this as an eye shadow. Super rich, pigmented, buttery, and neutral... Urban Decay has nothin' on Betty-Lou :)

I picked this bronzer up on a whim. It does'nt complement my light/meduim tanned skin. You have to use very little or you will end up looking streaky. I say this works great for deeper skin tones.
