Really liked the color and the applicator, but returned it when I saw how thick the formula was. My lips dry out pretty easily and it's a bad combo for me. Too bad.

a little goes a long long way! you just need a tiny bit for a huge pop of color. definitely long wearing and the color is fabulous for summer!

Don't buy "charisma"

I had a sample of this in another color before, and it was pretty good. The color charisma was on sale, which should have been enough of a warning to me, but I bought it anyway. Total waste of money. The color would be ok, but the texture is almost chalky and definitely drying. I've not had much luck with any Bare Minerals lip glosses, actually.

I have this in the Bravado or brick red color. It's a lovely shade, and it's great the ingredients are pretty much natural but it goes on really poorly. There's very little control of how much color you put on. It's thick and goopy and doesn't set well at all on dry lips. It's not at all moisturizing. Works better over some kind of chap stick or lip balm. I would never risk applying it without a mirror and toilet paper for blotting on hand--it would look pretty horrible, at least on me.

Quick Take: creamy, moisturizing
Very moisturizing and the color packs a punch. I did knock off a star because the wiggly application brush that came with it is initially strange to work with and difficult to get properly applied on the outer line of the lips. With some attempts, I finally learned how to shift it as I need. However, it's likely just easier to use a lip brush. The formula is smooth with a shiny finish. Because of how creamy it is combined with the opaqueness, it does transfer to every cup, utensil or clumsy hand movement very easily. But the color on the lips doesn't become streaky when that happens as it's quite easy to press your lips together and it fills in again. I did enjoy this overall. I'd likely buy another for the moisturizing application and opaque colors. Just be prepared to mess with the brush a bit at first!

I love this lip gloss so much and here's why...
The texture is great, it's right in between a gloss and a lipstick; creamy and balmy but not sticky. The range of colors are very flattering. I got confidence which is a rose/medium pink with mauve undertones. It's a shade darker than my lips which makes for a super natural yet sexy just-kissed rosy look. I also got strength which is a cooler red with blue undertones, keeping it more in that classic red palette. The wear is about decent but doesnt survive through meals or drinks, however It stains the lips nicely but the shine doesnt last as long, but I lean towards semi-gloss and matte lips so it doesn't bother me. This is a definite try and a must for me. And I highly recommend the confidence shade, it's a very flattering color for most skintones.

I only gave 4 stars as it is much brighter then the pic. it is very creamy and stays put for a long time. I gave this to my neice the color was tooo horrifying on me, I have dark hair and hazel eyes. looks great on blondes with blue eyes

I am not much of a lip color girl so this was a little much for me at first. It is rather thick and the color is very intense. I dot it on my top and bottom lip lightly and then just smear it around with my finger...this is the perfect amount of color for me and the barbie pink is amazing!

Really pretty color! It lasts nicely too. The "cellophane-like" description is accurate - I find I have to put some on, then quickly spread it with my finger to even it out. Once it's on, though, it's great.

Quick Take: long-wearing, not particularly true-to-color, a bit overpriced
This lipgloss is alright. If I'd paid full-price I'd probably take it back. I still may.
First of all, it doesn't taste very good. It's not intolerable, but it is a bit bitter. The color lasts longer than the average lipgloss, but it isn't that pretty a color to begin with. My test is, if after two hours or more, I have to use make-up remover to get it off of my lips, it's a pretty long-wearing lip product. This color definitely has more warm tones (read: orangey-peach) than what it looked like on the website.
On the whole, I'd say that there are better products out there to spend your money on. If you have a favorite brand, I'd stick with it and don't change to this one unless there is a particular color in this line that you can't find elsewhere. Just remember that the product I received was not all that true to the online swatch. You might be better off going into the store first to check out the real tones in a certain color before you commit.
