I was a little unsure trying a shampoo and conditioner that can repair and moisturize without weighing my hair down. I have very fine hair that is easily weighed down by most products. This Carol's Daughter Monoi shampoo and conditioner is great. It moisturizes very well without adding weight to my hair.

Quick Take: hydrating, good for daily use
I bought the Monoi shampoo and conditioner. After finishing both bottles, I will not be buying again. Product is ok but the price is too high for average product. I did not notice a difference in breakage and I still need to use other leave-in products to make my hair look smooth.

since i've been using Carol's Daughter products the Monoi line is the only line that has worked for my hair. My hair stays clean longer, is softer, has great shine, and i have noticed a significant drop in breakage and shedding

Quick Take: smoothing, good for daily use
I have wavy/curly, fine and generally soft hair which has a tendency to get flyaways and frizz. This shampoo is great. It doesn't weigh my hair down and my hair seems to cooperate more readily when I'm using this product. I see less flyaways. I cannot attest to the product's prevention of damage or strengthening of my hair because I couldn't really tell (and this isn't a huge problem for me) but I liked the way my hair looked, felt and smelt after using this product.
As I've indicated in my title, the only minus of this product is the packaging. I obsessively made sure that I tightly closed the product after every use. One morning my bathroom was extraordinarily fragrant. I sniffed around for the culprit and finally I see it, my Monoi shampoo bottle had tipped onto its side and dumped 75% of its contents all over my shower. I was very bummed. Would I buy this again? Absolutely. Will I be transferring it to a different bottle? Yes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This shampoo has saved my hair from having to just chop it off & call it quits. My hair is very long & we tried everything! From natural, organic, to chemical shampoos with no success. The first time i used this shampoo.... i was like... OMG! my hair is back to the way it used to be! My hair before was suffering from knots & mats every single day. But now it is smooth, no knots & so soft! I am so happy to be able to wear my hair down & feel beautiful again. <3

The smell is wonderful, the shampoo hydrates your hair (without leaving it greasy) and protects your color. I've tried Aveda, Redken, Kerastase, etc. and I think this is the best. Great for dry, curly, color-treated, wavy hair.

Although this is sulfur free it stripped by blowout. It might be okay if you don't color treat or use the Brazilian blowout. If you do, I wouldn't recommend it.

Several years ago I bought this shampoos while travelling in the USA (I live in Canada) and I recently bought it again. I have tried many, many shampoos and conditioners and Carol's Daughter is still the best. It minimizes breakage, makes my hair silky and shinny and smells wonderful. I only wish that I could buy it in BC. Also, I have let my daughters, friends and aunts try it and they all agree.

I've only used this once but it was really great. My hair felt very clean but not stripped. But also didn't feel overly oiled like it wasn't clean. It was pretty great. I will keep using. I also noticed a lot less tangles and knots. My curls definitely popped and I did notice I saw much less hair coming out than when I use other shampoos. Btw I have natural African American hair (no perm).

Didn't love it...

A friend of mine told me about this line and how amazing it was and how healthy her hair was - so I figured I would give it a shot. I have blonde, thinner hair (thinning the older I get!). I have noticed more breakage lately, so I was willing to try anything. I tried it for a few weeks and sadly, I didn't love it for me and my hair type. My hair felt dry after I used the shampoo - and even drier after I used the conditioner that went with it. I was sad that this didn't work for me - but it worked wonders for my friend with dark, course, thick hair... So I would recommend it to people with hair in those categories!
