Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Jasminora
Each fragrance in Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria collection is an ode to nature. In Flora Nymphea, the fragrance is centered around a jasmine flower from the southern Italian region of Calabria. This flower's rare and precious spirit is elevated with notes of white freesia and lily of the valley. The freshness of green notes adds a crisp, earthy quality. In the base notes, a resinous amber accord joins white musks that linger on the skin to prolong the sensual aromas of jasmine.Notes:Bergamot, Cyclamen, Galbanum, Jasmine, Freesia, Lily of the Valley, Musks, Amber. Style:Floral. Fresh. Sensual.

light, sweet floral

This was a light scent for me, not heavy like the other reviewers said. On me I smell the Lilly quite strongly. The floral is rather sweet (but not too sweet - I hate those candy smelling fragrances) and fresh. I don't smell the citrus others have mentioned, nor the musk. This scent reminds me of honeysuckle. I've asked a few men for their impression of the deluxe sample I got and they all really liked it on me. I think it's worth it to buy the full size in the spring but I don't know that it'll be my "it" perfume.

Quick Take: good value
This is my favorite of the Aqua Allegorias. I love jasmine, and this is just purely jasmine, very soft, not indolic at all. That's the word that keeps running through my mind when I wear this - soft. Jasmine can sometimes veer off into territories of stale urine and animal odors, but this doesn't have that at all. Very elegant, soft floral.

Light, summery scent.

Funny how perfume wears so differently on people depending on skin chemistry. Some reviews here are saying how strong this perfume is, and on me, it's a very light floral. Also, I don't get much jasmine - it's more about the Lily of the Valley note along with a crisp & juicy citrus which makes this nice for hot weather. The jasmine has more of a supporting role. Overall, I would say it's a pretty scent, delicate and appropriate for summer.

Quick Take: flowery light summery
This perfume is light, more of a daytime summery perfume,true to its jasmine smell.if it had been stronger, I feel it would be too overbearing.Needs just a little bit to last the whole day. Initially when you put it on it has a more citrusy overtone but settles into a light jasmine fragrance.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Jasminora is not for me. It acts differently each time it's been used and I prefer something I can depend on to have a somewhat consistent scent. It's also important to me to know approximately how long a fragrance will last before needed to be refreshed, and I can't tell with this one. Perhaps it's a little bit too heavy for me. It seems to hang in the air, too, leaving a trail of fragrance. A little bit goes a very long way. Since everyone's body chemistry is different, I suggest you try this out and decide for yourself.

Got this as a "deluxe" sample -- and HATED it. It was so foul smelling that I had to throw away the sample because of the scent coming from the bottle. Sort of reminiscent of moth balls. I adore light floral fragrances -- even jasmine fragrances -- but this one was nasty.

Quick Take: sweeter than true jasmine but still like
I love the scent of jasmine. I have been forever looking for a fragrance that is just primarily jasmine. Most are too sweet, too "old lady," too spicy, too fake or just way off. This one is on the fresher "younger" side. It isn't perfect, but I still love it.
To me, this is mostly jasmine along with juicy lemon and a hint of honey. I love the smell of it at first, but it turns a bit sweet after that. The tartness reminds me of Alfred Sung, the original, which I like, but it's still sweeter than what I'm looking for in a jasmine fragrance.
Also, it doesn't last very long, which has not been my experiece with Aqua Allegoria fragrances in the past.
In this case, though, that might be a good thing because of the fact that it is so sweet.

The perfect jasmine scent, in my opinion, is Korres Jasmine Body Butter. I use that along with Jasminora, but I am still looking for the perfect jasmine fragrance to go along with the Korres body butter. I would, however, like to try Jasminora in a shower gel and body lotion.

Quick Take: strong, lemon-y
Sorry Guerlain, but the only thing that I really liked about this perfume was the bottle it came in - what was inside of it smelled more akin to lemon-scented furniture polish than something I'd spray on myself. I'm normally a fan of very robust, strong perfumes - but this was too much for even me. The topnote had a very strong lemon fragrance, and maybe just a HINT of jasmine...and overall, I didn't find it to be very feminine or elegant. And after wearing it for a few hours, it just smelled like roach spray on me. I definitely recommend test-driving this perfume before you buy...it seems to be an acquired taste.

I am in love with all things jasmine, whether it be shampoo, lip gloss, or purfume. I got a free deluxe sample of this stuff and I was hoping it was amazing, and it truly is. Light citrusy notes in the beginning, then it softens to a sweet jasmine. Love it!

Everything about this fragrance would be just perfect but it is only an Eau de Toilette so it needs to be constantly reapplied. I wish they also made a stronger perfume version, it would be great. The scent is nice and on me it does not become sweet but retains a lovely jasmine type scent.

Quick Take: potentially too heavy
The product description sounds so wonderful but with my body chemistry it's awful! Test before you buy. I love products that feature jasmine, and from the bottle this smells easy on the nose... but ON me, it's terribly heavy and smells too heavy and too strong.
If you choose this perfume, try it on first and make sure the product chooses you back!
p.s. For those of you who can't wear this one, try Mandarin Basilic (reviewed separately). I love it.

One of the few scents my husband has commented on..favorably..and on his own! (I have a bit of a "wardrobe" of fragrances) Very flowery without being overwhelming--not a "knockoff" of others out there. One star gone though for staying power.
The BEST thing Sephora can do for a new fragrance is the larger size of sample such as I received! One or two sprays of one...eh....a week or two..SOLD!!!

I was suprised to see negative reviews for this scent. It is a really nice and light jasmine scent with a touch of honey, very feminine and a perfect introduction to Guerlain. The jasmine is very wearable, and not as heavy and animalic as many other jasmine perfumes

Quick Take: one dimensional
Two of the Acqua Allegoria series are some of my favorite perfumes; this is not.
It is too emphatic with the jasmine and honeysuckle, making it a flat, heavy handed scent.
If you like single scent perfumes, this may appeal to you.
