Extends the life of my blow out

I have long, wavy hair that I blow out most mornings. This product is great for day 2, working better than any dry shampoo at absorbing oil and giving volume. Must have if you love to blow dry.

Quick Take: easy to use, lasting results
I get about a 2 1/2 - 3 in lift with this spray! I use about 3-4 quick sprays, shake up my hair & toss it back & forth a couple of times & the volume lasts for DAYS...on DIRTY hair...without reapplying. Contrary to some of the reviews - great scent (the scent fades anyway), no flaking, not sticky, & the spray is ridiculously easy to use. Never knew less than a minute of effort would do so much for my hair! You just have to try it for yourself.

Quick Take: smelly, greasy
I don't love this stuff....First, it smells HORRIBLE. It did give some volume, but not enough to justify the horrid smell that lasted, and my hair looked greasy later. Not worth the price for a mediocre product.

Quick Take: something different than standard hair spray
If you have hair that needs more volume, this is a good product, but if your hair is pretty short, it's useless. Also, while it says organic ingredients, you'd better be in a well-ventilated place when using it as it has some toxins.

Fantastic Product - Use it on Dry Hair

Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use
This product really works. It does not work on wet hair - it is for dry hair. I use it when I am finished styling my hair to put volume in targeted areas. It works easily and immediately, and it lasts - even if you brush through it during the day. I have very fine wavy hair that needs a volumizer. I am using it with Living Proof shampoo, conditioner and mousse.

My hair is long, fine with medium fullness. Not only does this product smell great but it really gives me great lift that lasts. I was a bit perplexed reading all the negative reviews... I spray it on right on root/scalp hair, shake my hair a bit upside down and use my fingers to tease- the result is fantastic! I love this product and have found it to be the best one I've bought.

Quick Take: okay
This product is as the title states, so-so. I have thick, heavy, Asian hair and I've been trying to find a product to give me a bigger lift and boost but I'm still at a lost in finding the right product. I think this product is more effective after you come out of the shower with clean hair and you style and blow dry then when it's damp you spray the roots and style up.

I have really thick heavy hair and was originally using root gels and sprays that you had to apply prior to drying. I like this product because I can apply it multiple times if needed throughout the day and it works well, even with my difficult hair.

I love the way this product smelt..I had a hair stylus use it on me..I went home and ordered it..i do not feel it really makes a difference..and it creates a dandruff looking build up..I kept using it giving it another try..but eventually had to just throw it away.. :(

I have very fine hair and I bought this to add volume to my crown area. It doesn't work at all. Hair is still limp. Hairspray and a little back teasing work wonders at half the price.

Let me start this off by saying I hate being "sold" to in stores. the rep for alterna was at sephora and although she made some great points on about their products, i still felt she was giving me a sales pitch. then she let me test this product. i flipped my head upside down, sprayed this on my roots, and Poof! I had amazing volume and my hair smelled GREAT! I have regular hair - not thin or thick, but i have a good amount of hair. it goes a few inches past my shoulders so volume has always been something i want, and have a hard time keeping. This stuff was amazing. I have been using it on dirty hair as well to make it fuller and have it smell good. i even put my hair in a pony and pumped up the tail end. i love it.

I really like a few of the other Alterna Bamboo products I use, but this one is disappointing. I'm always looking for product to give instant volume to dry hair because I go 2-3 days between washes and I like my hair to look full and bouncy. I have very thick long hair, but for some reason my hair always looks flat at the top a few hours after I style it. I was hoping this product would help with that, but I barely notice any difference after using it and I don't like the smell (although the other Alterna Bamboo products have a great smell). Not recommended.

My hairdresser used this product on me when styling my hair. I had good volume for the next 2 days. It was a combination of her teasing it and using this product. I would definitely keep using this for volume.

This spray is good for some texture in my hair, but the root lift I was hoping for didn't happen with this product. I have gotten better results with some cheaper products. I think it also depends on your hair texture to begin with, mine is quite think and silky. This did help to give it some grip to style, just not the lift I was looking for.

Good product, bad packaging

After trying this product during an in-store consultation, I brought it home. Could not get the trigger mechanism to work. Put on my strongest reading glasses to search for the elusive pin to remove - could not find it! At $24 a pop, I really did not want to break the mechanism :-(. I actually called my Sephora store in Annapolis and one of the associates walked me through to find the tab that needed to be torn off. Would have helped if the embossed "tear off" tab had not been the same pale beige as the rest of the trigger mechanism!
Once open, I'm back to loving the product. It gently lifts hair at the roots and holds the style in a very natural way. I'll probably buy the product again.

I was really hoping the volume would last all day, it did not. Went flat after just a few hours. It did not make my hair sticky which was great! Just had a lot of hope this would last through the day...so I am still looking..
