Guerlain Terracotta Khôl Kajal

Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing, smudgable
Okay, I do love this product, but I took off a star because it does need to be reapplied a few times throughout the day, some people complain of smudging, and I do find it can migrate but usually into my lash line giving me a naturally tight lined look so I am not complaining about that.
A few notes to mention; I only recommend this for the water line as it is too creamy for the lash line and will smudge. I sometimes use a tiny bit on the lash line in a pinch, but try not too. Also since this is going on the water line I prefer to keep it as clean as possible which means not using it on my lashline which will get shadow and skin product on the eyeliner.
DONT use the tip to draw the color on the waterline, this will wear down the cone making it impossible to use, instead place the cone side on the waterline and drag it from the inner corner out. I have had mine for a year and using this method, it is still in a nice usable cone shape. I feel good putting this on my waterline because I feel like the ingredients were made for that sensitive area of the eye and will not cause any problems, whereas I always hesitate putting other liners on my waterline.
I also enjoy the process and ease of applying this.

Quick Take: smudgable, long wearing
Ok ladies, are you ready for the best gypsy look around? This is the most amazing liner ever. I have been wearing it everyday since it came in the mail. Apparently there is a cult following and I can see why. I like to tight line my eyes meaning inside. The women in India swear by this as improving their eyes. I think it helps with bloodshot eyes. It is fabulous.

This liner goes on really smooth and black. Rims the inner water line really well and doesn't smear although it is very blendable. The black makes my eyes pop! Doesn't get into my contacts either.This liner is so easy to use, 2 seconds and I'm all made up! Love Guerlain products.

adding to my last review on this item, I really, really, really, appreciate that this black khol liner is a beautiful dimension of black and not STARK, harsh black. It works great for my dark blonde, hazel, coloring. I rated short of excellent because I want to see how long it lasts. Excellent on color and texture, so far.

I enjoy the design and application of this liner. And, it really does not smudge, as I might've expected it would. It takes some careful application. And, it can wander some at first, but a little dabbing or wiping clean basically keeps it on well for the entire day. Maybe one touch up, as far as wiping off what strays, but that is negligible. All in all, i'm happy with this product.

I have sensitive allergy eyes and had a feeling that I was becoming to be like my mother, unable to wear eye makeup. However, I will not go down without a fight! I saw this kohl and watched some others review and decided it was for me on a trip to Chicago. It goes on beautifully and works especially well with night looks. However, be aware that it does smear if you rub your eyes.. like myself. I put a little black eye shadow on top of it and that does a great job setting it or even just a little face powder. It does not irritate my allergy eyes and I will buy it again if it ever runs out!

Agree with all the amzing things said about this product. It lasts all day - I wear it on my waterline and i don't need to re-apply except for if I am going out at night. Works well to really deifne the eyes!

Love this eyeliner! I use it on my upper/lower waterline every single day. It is my signature look. Black mascara & this khol kajal. I also use it on the top of my lash line - but it doesn't stay as long. I find the more watery your eye - the less it stays put. Some days it stays for hours - I have slept for 4 hours with this liner on inside my waterline - and it stayed PERFECT. Other days when I'm more watery eyed or sweaty - it moves/slides a bit more, but its easy wipe away & fixable. Very easy to apply inside waterline on the go. Its thick - use it at a slant & don't even need a mirror inside. WIPE WIPE on inner rim and done - no mirror needed.

ANGLE THIS EYELINER TO USE IT! Use it on the side and it keeps its tip perfectly. You can use thick base to tip but always at an angle. This isn't the normal type of eyeliner - it is KAJAL KHOL. This is authentic to what women in the middle east & asia have been using on their eyes (and men) for 1000s of years... I need nothing else but red lips, this eyeliner & black mascara. CLASSIC! and using it in the waterline only - it can be 100 degrees outside & I only need to keep applying it there - not on the outside of my eyes & I look immaculate. It takes getting used to but be adventurous. I'm traveling to the middle east soon and this is what I'll be taking with me... FUN!

I have been using another high end khol eyeliner for about 6 years now and decided to try this after hearing some great reviews. I have now converted.

To be honest I bought this for the gorgeous packaging. I wanted to feel like a princess applying my eyeliner every morning. Too bad this formula immediately spreads onto your water line and upper lid and has NO staying power what so ever?? If this had been a mediocre eye pencil I would have dealt with it but it was legitimately BAD. It is a pigmented formula, but the pigment doesn't actually stay on your eye.

I wanted to love this...it looks amazing when first applied and I loved the idea of lining my upper lid inside as well. Unfortunately, it didn't last at all and gave my eye a weird feeling. I wear contacts and can usually tolerate anything near my eyes and have never had a reaction to eye liners etc (and I line the bottom inner rim everyday) but this was not a good feeling.
I tired it three different times to be sure and all three times I had a reaciton and the liner did not last at all.
I will be taking it back soon.

Was way to messy- but better than loose kohl. Prefer simpler kohl for less money if it's going to be so smudgeable. Sephora carries a kohl exactly the same for ALOT less that I'll try next.

This is a great kohl..... However, you can get one of the same quality imported from Saudi Arabia. So you are really paying an extra $30 for the brand and packaging. I brought one because it was so glamorous But feel like I was wasteful!

I got this as an alternative for when I don't have time to apply the Guerlain Terracotta Loose Powder Kohl Liner (which I love).
I use it primarily on the waterline and really like how it applies and the dark black colour. I don't find it lasts nearly as long as the Kohl Powder though! That said, it's easily to touch up on.

I bought this the day after Christmas here in NY. It was in indulgence but, I truly love it. I can line the inside of my eyes like my Egyptian friend taught me a while back. It is gentle . It is truly khol. I have tried to get the exotic look and now I can pull it off without a hitch. I love it.

I was visiting New York and the sales lady put this on me and I loved it, so then I bought it. I really wanted to love it but after a short period of time I found that it was blotchy and ended up in the inside corner of my eyes. I do plan on returning it : (

Inner Rim Liner

Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing, dark black, easy to use, lots of product, non-irritating, good texture
This is my absolute favorite eyeliner for the inner rims of my eyes, It glides on smooth and lasts long. I have not experienced much smudging that I am reading about in other reviews. I have gotten this multiple times, it is the only liner that does not hurt my eyes when used inside. I would not use this on my lids as the stick is too thick, I much prefer urban decay or MUFE for that, but they dont work on the inner rim for me. It is very pricey but it is good enough to use daily and the only liner that I trust there because it never snags or hurts. It lasts a long time because there is a ton of product. I was using the powder kohl from guerlain and it was more uncomfortable and smudgable than this- I have not found anything better.
